Small locally owned family grocery store. Can find almost anything you are looking for food wise. Staff is friendly and helpful. Always stocked nice and neatly shelves.

It is sort of expensive, but it is very nice. They also have a lot of healthier alternatives to your favorite snacks that places like Walmart do not carry.

It was just fantastic found everything with no problem always spend too much money just do not like the fish n seafood dept close before 7:00 pm

Love shopping @ Breaux Mart, its convenient. I find it a little pricer than Walmart. I also like you can find products from Louisiana. Im from Florida, maybe its just me, I find food prices in general are higher here.

Generally, a good place to shop. Super super convenient for me. My only complaint would be occasionally they put out produce that is in terrible shape, and I often find expired items on the shelves. The staff is friendly, but generally very young, which may contribute to the lack of detail in some areas. Over all, a great choice in the area. They have some pretty great meat sales every now and then too!

Feel like goldilocks there. There are probably some things they dont have but I dont know what they are.Prescriptions are all I can think of.Local Gulf shrimp and fish. Very good meats. Someone attending the meats and seafood. A bakery. Deli service, sushi fresh made, a fresh salad bar and in house hot bar with daily specials.Courteous and helpful staff.Its not so big to need a break while shopping. They always open additional registers as needed. Must be doing something right to keep employees long term.Hahaha. Try it, youll like it.

Been shopping here for about 20 years. PROS are convenience, good prices, friendly staff, quick lines and some of the best steaks in town. CONS are limited stock or out of an item I need to complete a meal. Produce section could use some attention as well. Also CHECK THE EXPIRATION DATES!! Obviously they dont rotate stock. Bought a Gold Peak tea from the cooler yesterday only to find out later it was sour and had expired 5 months ago. Same with a pack of almonds. They were 2 years expired!! Get it together Breaux!!!

Dear Breaux Mart (river ridge), I visited this store for the first time. Sorry, I won’t be back. I have never seen so many rude patrons in my life. I even had a card left on my car cursing me for the way I parked (which was due to the person I was parked next too) but I was in my lane. People are so quick to judge. Sad. I am also not happy about someone touch

Its a little bit smaller store than say rouses or Walmart. And it is very easy to find my way around.

Good place to grocery shop, a tad expensive. My only complaint is the Bunny bread. Its NEVER fresh. I think they buy way more than they need and warehouse it in the back. Walmarts bread is fresh. But i dont want to do into a disease infested Wallyworld just for bread.

I live directly between Breaux Mart and Winn Dixie so both are convenient and I shop at both places. The cashiers are always friendly and they offer quite a few brands that are hard to find elsewhere. Only a few experiences werent 5 star. A few weeks ago a woman walked in with a long haired dog in her arms and the cashiers were all talking amongst themselves about how gross that is to have your dog in the produce section but no one asked her to leave. The other bad experience I had was that I purchased a large carton of yogurt, and just before scooping some out for my 2 year old, I happened to look and find out that it had expired 2 weeks prior.

I love shopping at this Breaux Mart- it’s in my neighborhood, it’s got a friendly staff, decent prices, and I even enjoy the music they play throughout the store...BUT THE PRODUCE IS ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!!! Its been this way for quite a while, at least a couple of years so I stopped buying fruit from here because it’s often in shabby shape being sold at full price. I decided to give it a second chance and paid almost $5 for a honeydew melon and cut into two days later and it’s really mushy. Come on Breaux Mart... who ever is in charge of the produce section needs to get it together!!!!! Onto Langensteins I go for decent fruit. SMH

Had everything we needed--produce, meat, frozen/canned items, holiday candy, etc. There were several checkouts open, so we were in/out in a flash. Were greeted by the cart retriever, as always.

Variety and freshness of food is great. However, it seems like employees are so busy having a conversation with one another that they ignore customers.

Dont get me wrong, shopping local is great! It boost the local economy. But let Breaux Mart be an example as to why I only shop local for some items. Through no fault of their own, many of their items can be found cheaper elsewhere, but they are convenient at times and the employees are 10 steps ahead of any employee of walmart when it comes to decent, helpfulness, and being polite!

I dont know what it is about Breaux Mart, but I love Breaux Mart. I have to go through 2 more traffic lights to get there when I could just go to the Winn-Dixie, but I still prefer the Breaux Mart.

It was always a 5 star visit on previous trips to Breaux Mart in River Ridge. Even after moving to Ponchatoula, I still make weekend trips to purchase meat. In my opinion, Breaux Mart has the best turkey wings and I can find smoked turkey necks that are the right size.Today when I checked out, the male cashier must have been having a bad day cuz he didnt put my bags in the cart and never said thank you. I had to ask him to load the bagged items in my cart and when I told him thank you, I had to say it 3 times before he finally responded. Courtesy should always be practiced by cashiers. Breaux Mart should counsel its cashiers about being courteous. If this happens on my next trip, I will start going to Metairie Breaux Mart for my meat trips.

February 27, 2016My wife went into Breaux Mart in River Ridge today. There was no one in line at the deli section so she was waiting for the worker who was busy. A lady (and I use that term loosely)with curlers cut in front of my wife and ordered. While trying to explain that she was there first the curler lady with the gold tooth became irate and eventually rammed her basket into my wifes basket in a forceful manner. Her continual glaring and statement of you white woman, mind your own business made my wife feel threatened enough that she had to get the manager while she checked out and have the manager walk her to her car. Multiple people witnessed this behavior. This disgusting animal like hatred should not be tolerated in a civilized society. My family will no longer shop at Breaux Mart. Thank goodness Langensteins has opened in River Ridge.

So convenient then going to Winn Dixie

The store is in shaggy condition and needs many renovations to bring it into the second decade of the 21st century. Meat and produce selections are mediocre and are slow to restock. The store is only open to 9 p.m., so shopping here after I get off work is out of the question, leaving just as bad Winn Dixie up the street as the only option in River Ridge.
