10/15/21: I bought 2 plain cakes and they were mildewed when I checked them out before leaving the place. I asked for donut holes instead. They seem to look ok. When I started to eat one, I noticed that it was mildewed ( the dough not properly stored I guess). I didn’t go back + left $1 in tip jar. I’m very disappointed. In the past, I’ve never had a problem. My office used to order for Grand Jury. So disappointed!

Wed never been there before and saw reviews online, it was everything the reviews said! We just asked for 2 dozen of the best and we got some DELISH donuts for under $20! Great breakfast for a great price! And they were SO FAST!

I learned of Blue Dot Donuts via a previous boss who would bombard us with donuts from here on the weekends. He would get one of each kind (for the most part). I am not a big sweets fan, but the donuts are here are freshly baked and run out pretty fast because of that. Which is a great thing as it confirms their quality.Blue Dot Donuts are low-cost with a kind staff. Phone orders are accepted as well to hold your donuts.I do recommend Blue Dot Donuts.

First time in NOLO and we spotted this place down the road from our rental. We decided to stop in on our last day there just before we hopped the streetcar. It was 10:30 is and they were already done to the last of their donuts. If you want to try them you need to be there early or you only gets what is left. We managed to pick up some chocolate glazed sprinkle, bear claw bites, and a strawberry glaze. All were very good. Had we know how early and quickly they run out we would have shown up earlier! Glad we had the chance to experience them before heading home. Looking forward to coming back again someday.

This place is so good it regularly sells out by 10am..definitely a nola gem..get the apple fritter its ridiculously awesome..but i did get a hair on my maple bacon :/

Red velvet on the weekends only. Get there by 6am to get the good stuff. The best donuts are the buttermilk, the fritter and the chocolate covered buttermilk. Great prices and delicious donuts.

I purchased two donuts .This place is durity, And my donuts were cold as if they came out of the freezer. $6.00 dollars on a cup of coffee and two donuts.

Nice corner donut shop. The glazed old fashion was delicious. Also had a couple donut holes. Good stuff. The people there were really nice and friendly. Learned a little about donut making while I was there.Right on the Canal St streetcar line. Hop off, grab some donuts, and heat back downtown or to the cemeteries.

The apple fritter is AMAZING!!! The coffee is delicious. Not so strong or bitter that you need to add cream or sugar. They have a few tables that you can sit and enjoy your order inside and outside. I have to say, this little, small cafe is a gem.

Donut shop opened by cops with a sense of humor. Great variety, especially the earlier you get there. Red velvet, chocolate frosted buttermilk, maple bacon were our favorites. Great location for getting on and off Canal streetcar.

My favorite donuts from Blue Dot are the wedding cake donuts! Im usually a traditional glazed yeasted donut kind of a person, but when they have the wedding cake donuts I always get a few. The outer crust of their cake donuts are usually a little crackly (not steamed or soggy) and the almond flavor of the wedding cake is a knockout. I also like their blueberry cake and the occasional apple fritter.Im not a huge fan of the maple bacon, but mostly because its too much for me (its not really a quality thing, just personal preference, the bacon could always be crispier though).

I always show up just after they open when the donuts are fresh. Always tasty. Staff is friendly and helpful as well. Never had a bad donut, all the flavors are awesome. I think their glazed are the best though. Their prices are very reasonable in todays expensive donut age as well.Went today at 11:00. They had 6 donuts. A powdered creme, glazed creme, blueberry, raspberry, coconut, and peanut. Bought them all.

To be fair we came close to closing and there was like no selection left but they seemed confused that we wanted to buy donuts there in the first place....the donuts were ok, vibe super weird.

A dozen donuts for $9.39 and a medium cup of coffee for $2.49. Definitely get a buttermilk donut and enjoy the crispy edges. It could be a little cleaner with some better chairs for a 5 star experience. But, hey, its cheap and good and thats most important.

Delicious donuts with amazing filings. The donuts are soft, fluffy, and perfect but then you add in the specialty filling and you get a donut experience like none other. Coffee is great, too!We tried the key lime pie, peanut butter and jelly, red velvet, and Mexican wedding cake (my favorite). They were all delish!

I just left Blue Dot a little while ago after picking up a couple donuts for my daughter and I. Tasty donuts and very friendly service. I would definitely recommend this place to satisfy your donut craving.

I can come in at 8 in the morning and theyre still out of everything good. How early do you need to be there? Before it opens? I dont understand because its been more than once where Ill get there early and theres not much available. Came in today and my cashier would not give me the time of day. Told her what I wanted and tried asking her questions but she was far too busy chatting someone else up. Had to repeat myself several times. Donuts are good but the service seems to need work.

Dont believe Ive ever had a better donut... ever... anywhere. Line often out the door (10 feet) early cause they are so damn good and they sell out of the best ones. But please dont get the last chocolate glazed buttermilk, I want it.

I was really craving a donut so I went over there at 3:50 I pulled up and he said they were closed and cleaning up but said hed see what he could do for me. He goes inside and gets me a box with some left overs from the day.. Amazing place and amazing donuts!

Theres been a few times in my New Orleans experience where Ive found myself awake in the early, early morning before dawn. This is when I realize that I can drive to Blue Dot Donuts right when they open, and Ive never succeeded at resisting that notion, to my benefit. Bacon Maple Bars might seem absurd at first, until you bite into one, and realize that it actually makes perfect sense, and it is the rest of the world that is absurd. I usually try to follow that up with an apple fritter, but since the fritters are as large as friggin catchers mitts, I have yet to finish one. Stop on by, you might see me in my car parked alongside the building in the wee hours, eating a donut and contemplating the greater meaning of the universe. A good donut can do that.

Some of the best donuts Ive had !!! Every time I go home to New Orleans they are on the must do list. Huge apple fritters, cinnamon buns, variety of great cake donuts, key lime, blueberry, apple, lemon filled crumble donuts!!! ***** Get there as early as possible, they arent a secret anymore!!!!

Okay so I have been dying to get to this place. I pass it everyday on my way to school, and this time I had to stop. As I walk up to the door the sweet smells hit me one by one. Now I am suppose to be sampling 3 different donuts for me my mother, and sister. I send them the pictures of the donuts only to inform them that I ate all three. blueberry, glaze, and buttermilk. They are so upset with me. I guess I cant come alone next time lol.

The donuts are good, but they arent that different from what you might find at any upscale donut shop. Maybe District Donuts set my expectations too high, but I wasnt impressed.
