They have made 3 doors for me for two of my houses. Great craftsmanship. Easy to work with and great installation. Carlos and Scott are professionals. Communication can sometimes be a little patchy but I know these guys are busy and will get job done. Texting is the best way.

Best Mill in town for historic and non historic restoration projects

Owner Scott and office manager Mary are friendly, honest, and upfront. They completed a small job for me replacing some 4 wooden rosettes on the front of my house. They quoted me $25 each and had them done and ready in LESS THAN 24 HOURS.All this contrasted with my experience at Central City Millworks, where they quoted me $30 each, plus $150 for a custom knife that they needed to complete the job... when I asked to keep the knife, that charge was upped to $300 for the knife. When I asked if there was a way they could be done without a knife, Central City Millworks said no. They also told me their lathe was backed up and the project would take at least 3 weeks. Scott at NOLA Millworks said no knife was needed at all, and again, had them for me in less than 24 hours. $450 with a 3 week turnaround at Central City versus $125 with a 24 hour turnaround at New Orleans Millworks...its a no brainer. Central City was clearly trying to take advantage of me and see how much they could get from me. At NOLA Millworks I felt comfortable and theyre right around the corner from me anyway.

Used these guys to mill some new windows as part of a renovation. Initially, experience was really good - reasonably-priced quote, responsive sales team/on site visit. It went downhill from there as there were several delays (none of which were communicated to me, forcing me to call them to figure out what was going on with my order). It took several phone calls just to get them to respond. On installation day, the crew that showed up was rude and focused only on getting paid. When it came time to settle the bill, they tried to charge me $500+ more than we had agreed on - when I pushed back saying we had never discussed this, the guy admitted he didn’t remember for sure. Only after two phone calls was it finally sorted out, and even then they made it seem like they were giving me a “break”. While their prices are low, I’d suggest avoiding them and going with one of the more reputable and higher-quality shops in town.

Easy to do business with, fast, great quality and fair pricing. Doesnt get much better than that.
