Great place to go an workout. The staff is very friendly, an the classes are great. Theres even a cardio theater in the Algiers you fit where you get to work out and watch a great movie definitely a place I recommend
Im still waiting on my refund after 2 months. Its been admin mistake after mistake. Signed up for personal training and they made a mistake on the 1st contract, the 2nd that was supposedly fixed there was another issue, plus other issues on the side that will make this longer than what already is. The personal training have a completely different system from the gym according to them.Whatever they promise you, make sure you get it on PAPER, dont expect them to keep their word...they will use the you sign a contract very quickly. Last time I check both parties need to honor the contract not just one. They owe me in personal training over $500 cause they werent able to fulfill their end of the bargain. It may not seem like a lot for some, that doesnt mean I want to just throw away my $$ on nothing.
DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE PERSONAL TRAINER !!!!!When your trainer is a no show they call you the first 2 days then after thatYou walk in to find out your trainer is still MIA.They want you to commit to a 3 month training program but they won’t commit to train or call you.FORGET ABOUT GETTING YOUR MONEY BACKThey’ll just keep taking your money knowing they haven’t trained you lolThe worst gym I’ve ever been to Unprofessional and definitely poor communication.
Its an ok spot if youre looking to get a quick pump. Good luck with the cardio because over half the treadmills dont work and the ones that do are pretty raggedy. Evenings are the worst at times considering how small the place is as well.
Went to check out local gyms. COVID weight is real. Got the tour. Nice facility. Enough free weights to use. Good balance between the old school gyms and the newer gyms. Good mix of free weights and machines. Will probably join. Offers classes for those that prefer that. Not far from work and home. My tour guide and I had a good conversation and he didnt rush me. Answered all my questions and took his time to show me the facility.
Nice fitness center i train here twice a week
Great place to get your workout on!!!
The is a good health club that has a courteous staff. They make certain that place is always clean. There is usually a light crowd if you go early in the morning.
The company was closed during the Covid crisis At the end of March 2020 but was still debiting the customer’s accounts. Called to cancel the acct but no one was answering the phones. So I had my financial institution to reverse the payments. Months later a manager started to answer their number remotely from home. Told the gentleman to please to the account. He said I’d have to do it in person. That’s where the irony started. He said I’d have to pay what I owe them for the time they’re closed and they’ll credit the end of my membership with two “free months.” It’s a month to month membership cancel at any time for $10. How?! So he said he’d freeze the account. Today is 7/17/2020, they probably have been open two days if so. I was told at the door that every has to have their own towel to work out. Which means during Covid I’d be touching the equipment then touching my towel and spreading germs to my face. As I watched people walk out none had a towel. But of course they were ready to sell a towel for about $3. I told the desk lady I’d buy one and to allow me to pay what I owe and adjust my account to take off a family member. 7 times she tried to talk me out of downgrading my acct to keep it the same. I told her I only need one. She had to call her manager because their was no manager on duty to override what I’m assuming was the freeze and told me I have to come back for no certain time of when he was going to come to work.I do not recommend this gym or the company. This isn’t the first time I’ve had a bad experience with them. The other time was when my when my wife was pregnant and In another state for college I went to cancel her membership the desk guy told me to provide proof that she was pregnant to cancel the policy.
When the gym is going to be reopened?
A great gym for a great price. Nice clean facility and a very friendly helpful staff. Thank You for responding so quickly about the loud music issue. You fit is awesome. Ive edited the review to 5 stars.
I have never been to this gym and I never would. They have been calling me several times a day for a few weeks now. When I called them back to ask to be taken off their call list, the girl said she would but just hung up on me. I’d never give my money to a company that harasses people for business. Clearly they need the business but there are better ways to market than to randomly call people multiple times a day when that person has never shown interest in their company. I blocked them, hope they stop this nonsense, it’s rude and irritating!
Work out at you fit ever morning they ask that you bring a towel which I do bring one ever morning I forgot my towel so I ask could get towel to buy they don’t have any are sale them anymore but have towel that customer leave there I said I would need a new one the fact that I forget mines is one but you don’t have any to sale at a gym is the other so I can’t workout after I pay my monthly amount on time this is crazy the need to do better and with COVID going around way would you keep someone old dirty towel
Excellent service !
Great place
Smaller gym a little different than what Im used to but employees are constantly picking up weights and cleaning off equipment and it has enough machine variation and free weight equipment to get a nice workout in.
My son and I went to the gym with my husband and we really enjoyed ourselves working out. The young lady at the desk gave excellent service and the plus was she smiled. We will return 👍👍👍👍
The place is a hang out. I was one of the first members to join, I liked it up till they started hiring random people. I remember a guy working there with a Hugh beard. The beard didnt bother me but his attitude did! He would hang out with his friends and the whole time. I stopped going for about a half a year. I finally started back up and I liked the staff a whole lot more, but still skeptical on the crowd that goes there. I saw a review that said the place is ratchet. Most of the clientele are that way. Ive lived on the West Bank for awhile now the place is nice it is clean and the staff is better but I just cant deal with the people that hang out there. One guy came in with a hair brush attached to his head with color matching head phones and all he did was walk around. Not the gyms fault but it is the customer the area will attract. Im seriously thinking about spending extra to go to anytime fitness. Ill miss the low cost but if it will get me to some straight up working out people Im so cool with that.
Customer Service should improve. Regardless if the guest are seeking a trainer or just trying to find a friendly/welcoming environment to help with health and fitness goals these aspects keep people coming to the gym and recommending others. Pretty clean gym though, not so crowded and equipment is all one needs to have a legit workout regimen.
Ive been a member at many gyms and recently signed up at Youfit. Its a gym without all the bells and whistles and you cant beat the cheap price. The gym is a good size with plenty of modern equipment and fitness classes. My only complaint so far is the locker rooms being so dirty. Every time Ive been so far the womens locker rooms are not clean. Greasy smudge marks all over counters and mirrors, fecal matter splashed on toilets, urine on the floor around the toilet, and hair clogging up the sink. I think its a great little simple gym thats affordable however, they should clean those locker rooms more often, and most importantly, thoroughly.
I am VERY concerned regarding the SAFETY of the patrons at the Manhattan Location in New Orleans. The incline benches are entirely too close and definitely presents a high risk of injury due to the machine proximity. The area manager is well aware of this safety issue and has refused to correct the problem. Hes been given recommendation of how to effectively situate the benches without compromising the health and safety of the patrons. He simply refuses at adhere to this safety concern.I have taken several multi angle pictures waiting to be used in a court of law. Negligence on behalf of the manager will cost YOUFIT monetary damages. This can be avoided if the Manager does his job and just use common sense.
No pool.
Horrible gym. The staff isnt very professional, and will take money from you. I do not recommend this gym at all even at its cheap price. Ive been to both gyms and have had similar problems and will never go back at all.
This is a great place for a workout. Machines like the Elliptic and Spin bike have TV that you an program the channels and use headsets. Also they have a circuit of machines with a light for a timer. The staff is friendly and polite. The cost is low.
Facility is always clean. Adequate machines are usually available for exercise. Group fitness classes are awesome.
I called 3 times and my message was never delivered 2 a manager until he answered the phone.Beware when you cancel your account ON TIME youfit will still charge your account and hopefully its not a idle, I was told it was human error and it takes up 2 30days for a refund but the overdraft charge is on you and your bank, wow
Its close to home. The staff is great. I havent had any problems. Im losing weight. Im motivated.
The price makes me give this place 4 stars. The management.......well ok. Find a good personal trainer and that can make a huge difference in your experience.
Not only are the staff rude they are liars. I came on Wednesday and only wanted a pass to see if I could tolerate the lights bc they give me headaches I was told oh no you can sign up and you WONT be charged until June. After signing up on Wednesday my head was pounding by the time I made it home. I came back the next day Thursday and canceled and was NEVER told my account would be charged. Now I’m told I didn’t understand the agreement like I have trouble understanding They need to be upfront as to the terms and stop scamming customers for membership. RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL
Trying the trainer program and really glad i did. I think i will continue it after the trial runs out. Jessica is great and I the changing routine and encouragement are a great plus to getting back to fitness.
Staff is berry helpful
Dirty bathrooms, and Muscle guys get to hog multiple machines at once while they are only actively using one. I go to use a machine and a guy on the other side of the machine says hey man im using that machine, but he is sitting down using another machine. He goes on.. Im running from machine to machine. Kind of crapy You Fit allows this. Should have signs that you cant hog multiple machines at once instead of making patrons clash over this issue...... especially in this city. Maybe ill start taking a treadmill and if anyone tries to use the stairstepper ill say the same thing.
Good place to get a work out.. For a Great price
I love the close proximity to my home and the variety of equipment. Also the staff is friendly and professional.
Good gym equipment and friendly service staff!
Low cost gym isnt that busy most of the time. basics on the equipment for most things. for $10 bucks a month cant be beat....
Clean and friendly staff. Very nice men and womans bathroom/showers (locker rooms)
This gym called 911 on me. Heres what happened.Ive been a member for almost a year. I belong to a Crossfit/Jujitsu gym as well, so I work out at YouFit infrequently. This is why I want to cancel my membership. When I first joined I tried to take off my shoes to lift weights. Im not talking about trekking all over the gym in bare feet; I tried to slip off my shoes to do a set of deadlifts and immediately put them back on again, as it provides a better foundation for that exercise. I was informed that was against the rules. I expressed that I thought it was a silly policy, but I complied and bought wrestling shoes.I had a similar incident almost immediately with jumping rope. I was told that jumping rope was forbidden inside a YouFit facility, regardless of the location. (I did it in a corner, staying out of everyones way.) This time I didnt even bother to argue, I just never brought my rope in again. During both of these incidents the staff was extremely confrontational from the first exchange.Fast forward to almost a year later, today. Im deadlifting again, and a staff member comes over and tells me weight lifting chalk is forbidden. Now Ive been using chalk for over a year. After the shoe incident I read a copy of the rules and theres nothing about chalk in them. I also spoke with the club GM, and he specifically told me chalk was okay. I put it on top of paper towels to keep it off the floor and clean up anything thats left when Im done.I politely tried to express this to the woman who confronted me, but she told me Id been a problem since day one, I had notes in my file, and that if I couldnt follow all the rules she would revoke my membership. I asked if there was anyone else I could speak to, and she pointed me to man working out in regular clothes (not a YouFit uniform, Im not even sure he worked there) who basically doubled down on what she said.At this point I was done. I gathered my belongings, stepped on the chalk, and walked to the locker room to get my bag. I stopped at the front desk so they could revoke my membership. The woman tried to get me to electronically sign a form without letting me read it. When I told her no she literally yelled at me Just sign the form! Again I refused until she spun the monitor around so I could read it. Then she tried to collect $10 from me, which I refused to pay. She laughed and said then youre still a member here.At this point a male employee walked up and said Leave. Just like that. I asked for a card with some kind of contact information. He didnt respond to my request, just told me to leave. I tried to explain that I needed something with a phone number or an email address so I could cancel my membership and report this incident to corporate, and he told me if I didnt leave he would call the police. I dont like to be threatened so I told him to go ahead. After he finished the 911 call, I asked him if he wanted me to wait for the police or leave now. He refused to acknowledge me. I didnt want the police to think I had run, and I didnt know what kind of crazy nonsense they might say about me, so I went next door, got coffee, and came back in to wait for the police. When they arrived I explained what happened, and they told me I was free to go and have a nice day.Incidentally, the guy in the civilian clothes who claimed to be the manager told me that no chalk had always been a rule and was written down. (Untrue, as of October of last year.) The girl who refused to revoke my membership over $10 told me the Regional Manager had made that rule LITERALLY yesterday. In any event, the whole thing could have been avoided if the girl had said something to the effect of, I beg your pardon Sir. We have a new rule in the club, and I have to ask you to put your chalk away. All these people know how to do is escalate conflict.
Ugh women’s restroom is always broken. I don’t go to this location often (main one is in Harvey) but since I was close by today I decides to work out here. Well they posted yellow signs saying “male cleaning bathroom”. After about 30 minutes while holding my bladder, I went to the front desk where then I was eventually notified that it was out of order. At least post a written sign saying out of order or something!
Loved working out there. Only left to join my hubby.
Terrible customer service and atmosphere. Ive been a member of 3 gyms, unfortunately the last one closed down and sold their clients to this youfit. The music is loud, the staff isnt very professional. I was going to keep my membership at youfit but the interaction with the staff was so terrible and confusing while i was trying to get their actual membership, they wanted to also separate me and my girlfriend during the signout which i voiced my dissaproval but they insisted they needed us at different computers, shortly after i walked out. You get what you pay for, so i went on down the road to anytime fitness where ill gladly pay a little extra for a cleaner, quiter, less crowded gym with better staff.Update: 2months later anytime fitness is still great. But youfit is trying to steal money from me when I have never used that gym a day in my life. Dont waste your time or give them business this isnt what a gym should be.
I love that there is not a lot of people its not overly crowded i would definitely recommend !!!!
Good atmosphere staff always welling to help
Itd be 1000000x BETTER if they had more abdominal machines.. theres only like 2 abdominal machines, but a million machines for your arms and legs, unacceptable.
I go her due to lack of options, loud (in a bad way), ugliest place ever, weak equipment. Lame
Clean, friendly staff, great atmosphere.
Great staff and clean gym equipment.
My only complaint would be the other patrons sitting around on the machines while they play on their phones. It makes one want to scream, Theres other people here !
Always clean, staff is friendly, broken equipment gets fixed in s timely manner. Have been a member for 2 years now.
Great gym.. love it..
