A little expense for the area. The buffette was expensive for quality of the food. The good thing is that they have variety in the buffett.

To date every Roberts Ive been in has been clean, neat and the food has been fresh

The grocery store is very small and compact. I was surprised to see the hot food bar open, and was excited to try some of the food. Except it seemed I overlooked the small sign that says you need to let one of the employees get the food for you. So you need to call someone to assist you, walk with you around the food bar and point to what you want and how much of it you want. The to go sandwiches looked to be a better price value. Fresh fruit and vegetables look to be of good quality, but expensive. My recommendation would be to go to wholefoods market to buy fruits and vegetables, better quality and comparable or better prices. Overall the food was ok, but dont have to go back. I understand about the CDC protocol about food bars, clean places, etc., and I understand some people would not mind, they actually prefer the system Roberts is doing to handle their hot food items, and I wouldnt mind going back because of the protocol they are using. Im just not going back because of the food items are not what I prefer.

Rotisserie chicken is juicy. The crawfish pies are not good. The smoked chicken is gross.

Cute this grocery store that gets the job done. Not as much of a selection as some o the bigger ones, but throughout the pandemic they have had things when other stores did not!

As many of the previous reviews state, it is pricey. The food stations are really great. I do appreciate their produce section for the sake of beets, although rather small.

I got a lot of stares from a few employees. It was really weird and uncomfortable. The produce section is small and lacking, the prices overall are unjustifiably high.

If you are in line to check out your groceries, dont wait in the coffee aisle. At 2pm today, discounters cashier!

So, despite shopping here regularly, today I was told Im NOT ALLOWED TO ENTER WITH MY EMPTY REUSEABLE GROCERY BAG. And to be clear, this has nothing to do with Covid. Security said rules are no large bags allowed, leave it at the door. But its a GROCERY bag!!! Like, for putting groceries in! Not going to do me much good leaving it at the door... It already bothers me that Robert uses plastic bags for everything, which are SO BAD FOR THE ENVIRONMENT. Now I cant bring my own bags anymore? From now on, I go out of my way to shop elsewhere.

Everytime I go to the comic book store I stop here to get a few things. They have some awesome green onion sausage along with alot of other things. Id love for them to come to Lafourche parish.

Roberts is small, but the best. They are always fresh and productive with business.

This particular Roberts is nowhere near the caliber of the one on Elysian Fields. Its small, overpriced, understocked and the service is not up to par for Roberts.

Excellent selection of groceries and fresh vegetables; but the hot bar steals the show!

Normally a fine store, a little expensive compared to other options. During these corona-times they have gloves available for using the hot food self-service and staff are attentive. It is a compact store but most everyone was cautious and I had a nice uncomplicated shopping experience.

The store seemed to be fairly stocked considering all that is going on in the world today. I was able to pick up a few cleaning supplies that I have been searching for and of course pick up some food since I have become somewhat of a chef over the past couple of months from all the restaurants being closed or operating under restricted conditions.

I bought all the sides for my employees lunch, I made the turkeyIt was all like homemade and saved me money and time

I like this little store for grabbing a meal fresh cooked or fresh ingredients to cook one. Its great for day to day grabs, but not really too much for heavy grocery shopping though.

The food they serve are not fresh !!! I buy food they cooked and taste was horrible as smell! Than I buy there a salad but salad was also old! Same cakes very old! And I buy a water 1 gallon for 3 dollars but taste was so nasty, I think they just use empty bottles and put there any water and sell for 3 dollars each. Never ever come back again in this location!!!!!

The fruit was bruised on the inside to the core. I found it expensive. The aisles are very close together. The cashiers are very helpful.

While this is the closest market to me, I don’t need to venture farther. The bakery has amazing quality - doberge, cakes, etc. The chicken salad is Eat Fit approved and delicious. When I look for something I think they won’t have (red lentils), I’m usually happy to find it. Liquor is decent as this store has a small footprint. And the employees! Friendly, knowledgeable, super helpful. Thanks Robérts!

Don’t shop here they are very rude I see and hear Employees using profanity language smoking very loud out side the front of the store where it clearly says no smoking.if I’m not mistaking I believe I saw a rat run from the food bar to food service cashier are slow the store manager is very obnoxious and rude in her own way This store is very unorganized and very unprofessional it needs some order I will not shop here again

I always enjoy my trips to Roberts because the staff is so friendly and kind. They have a decent hot food bar for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a salad bar. Although they dont have as great of a selection for groceries as larger stores, they have all of the essentials, plus a PJs coffee shop! They also have some gluten free groceries available for those in need.

I don’t mind paying a premium but the quality is low. I just bought shrimp and cocktail sauce, and I threw it away because the shrimp was way over cooked and had a nauseating texture. Costco does it better. I try to support local stores but they somehow the chains around here are better

Wonderful place to get food at

The people who work here make this place. They are always willing to go out of their way to show you where some obscure item resides. The cashier gals are friendly (sometimes humorous) and efficient. Down to the basics, this grocery is increasingly realizing how much people want vegan and non-GMO products. At affordable prices. (Ya listening, WF?). Word to the wise...Friday evening is an annoying traffic jam in the aisles.

I love Robert French market store. I go there just about every day to buy my lotto and my grocery.

The people who work here make the day. Clifford and Alise are particularly kind. It truly feels like a neighborhood shop. As a vegan, i can find everything i need. There is a significant foreign foods (for NOLA) selection. Appreciate the weekly specials, for sometimes it can be pricey. One can get coffee or fresh food by the pound made on-site.Such an important part of the neighborhood.

My favorite grocery for wine, fresh produce, meat and seafood. The cooked food to go are delicious and reasonably-priced, and there are tables and seats outside to enjoy them. The cakes and pastries are great. Love the fresh flowers and other plants.

They are killing it with the carrot cake in the bakery and the sufficiently seasoned fried chicken and homemade bread pudding at the hot bar. Everyone is nice and helpful. I always like the prepared food in the cold section at any Robert’s. My favs are the stuffed shells and crawfish étouffe over white rice.

Worst grocery store in New Orleans. I’ve been going here out of convenience on and off for years and I’m finally done!! I’ve had spoiled rotten food from this grocery. I’ve had the staff be completely rude to me. And now today I had to deal with an incompetent manager, I’m talking to you lady with the red hair. She didn’t even know what or where products were and didn’t even apologize about an employee telling me over the phone they had this product in stock. She basically said she had something else to do and walked away. I’m officially done with this terribly ran grocery store. Change your management!!!

Love this place. The meat and seafood selections are superior to other stores. It can be a little pricey but the quality makes it worth a trip.

I do not eat the fried fish..they over fry their fish..keep it under the heat lights forever, which dries it out. It taste like cardboard..dont they change the fish and chicken grease as often as they should, one can tell by the taste...fried chicken has been on a decline. chicken has too many stringy veins. I guess people buy it because its a staple food and its easy to get..but if you want quality...Id pass on this..the baked fish and baked chicken needs to be on Medicaid or Medicare.My opinion.

Its conveniently located and easily accessible by bus or streetcar as well as within walking distance in the uptown area. However, it is the only grocery store in this area. Its small but they do offer a wide variety of foodstuffs. It is on the pricey side though so expect to spend more than other grocery stores.

Dont get anything from the deli. Itll expire in two days flat.Got a bag of bagels from here that were supposed to be good for about three weeks. They became moldy the very next day (and I didnt even open the bag...)Prices are high for food that wont last you the next day, even if its marked for next week...Chicken noodle soup from their soup bar taste like mop water or some sorta cleaning detergent. I felt sick after eating it.Just dont.

Its a decent neighborhood supermarket with good fresh food and alcohol selection. Rest is not too great and its a bit pricey for certain items. But great if you need something quick.

This is literally the worst grocery store in the city. Small, cramped, always out of everything and the prices are inflated because they’re the only grocery in the area! Not the employees fault but I hate that I have to go here to get groceries.

Great to stop in quickly for last minute groceries and dinner plates. We do most of our weekly shopping elsewhere because it would get a little expensive to do it all here, but Robert cant be beat for convenience in picking up last minute and forgotten items! Even weeknights around 5 the lines move pretty quickly for how many people are there.

Nice neighborhood market. Prices are a bit too high, but the location is kinda convenient for me, so I dont mind too much.

Selection is fair for a smallish grocery store but if youre looking for variety in some healthier items, good luck. Theres no variety in tofu for example and very little with many other vegetarian or health foods. The employees are helpful and friendly and theres rarely a long line

I like to shop in Roberts, its clean, fresh products, in general good service. But it doesnt have an international (Hispanic) section to find basic-high consume food like corn flour.

Overpriced and relatively small selection. Was hoping this would be a more affordable place for good produce but Rouses has better quality and prices for most things are even lower at Whole Paycheck. The only good thing was friendly staff and quick checkout.
