I got a nice Martin from my father for a graduation gift 19 years ago. Plucked away through the years but have picked it up more seriously recently. Always had been tiring to play because the action was high. Took it to John who tweaked the setup and it is like playing a different guitar. Sounds great, instantly helped improve my abilities, John was super friendly and the price was reasonable. Super happy. Thanks man

John restrung and lowered the action on my Taylor GS Mini and it plays better than ever before! He did excellent work for a very reasonable price. Ill be trusting him with all my future repair needs.

John is terrific. He has done an extensive electric bass repair and electric guitar set up/ re-fretting job for me and both times did such a great job. He is a perfectionist, very good communicator, and turnaround time was fast. Highly recommended for any stringed/ fretted instrument work.

The man who put new tuners and strings on my banjo was called Pete, and he was just what I needed. He explained my options for what to order, what it would cost to acquire and to install, and his work was first rate. I wanted good, not cheap. I got good.

John did a good job. I had him install new pickups and route the battery pack for them. Guitar looks and sounds great. Pricing was reasonable and he stayed in touch with me with updates on the progress

I brought my guitar to Mr. John at JK Gooves right off of magazine street. I gave it to him looking to get my intonation set and strings changed. But he went above and beyond by cleaning it, checking electronics, set the bridge correctly in addition to the strings and intonation. He also had it done by the next day. I’ll definitely be using him for any future guitar repairs.

John was great. He did such a good job repairing the truss rod and doing a set up on one of my electrics so I brought over an old yamaha 12 string that needed a ton of work. They both play great now and I think his pricing was very reasonable. He talked through all my options and pricing prior to do any work and would call and check with me if the plan needed to be altered. Highly recommend.

John did a beautiful job on my LP Special (fixed a faulty contact on output jack and set up/ restring) and my Telecaster (setup/ restring and took the thick poly coat off the neck). The setups were perfect. Nice and low and perfectly intonated up the neck and the finish work on the Tele neck was absolutely gorgeous. Great attention to detail. In addition, he always responded to my texts right away and kept me updated on the progress. The turnaround time was really quick and his workmanship was top notch. Prices were very fair. John did an excellent of setting action as well as an all over tune up on a 20 year old Taylor and Martin Jr. I’m a beginner and was so happy with John’s ability to not only make my instruments easier to play, but his ease of communication with one who is just beginning.
