Had tea/lunch at this cute White Heron tea room, it’s beautiful and well decorated. The foods were delicious, definitely the best quality for an afternoon tea that I’ve ever had. The tea was delicious too I ordered the Florida Sunset -without caffeine.They have great selections of shopping in the front of the store. Couldn’t have enjoyed it more.

Attended a baby shower this afternoon. Beautifully decorated private area; every variety of teas you can imagine. Suffice to say the owner, Kelly, is a connoisseur of fine tea blends because the flavor of every individual pot was perfect. The pastries, sandwiches (half, full sandwiches!) were obviously homemade; the pastry crusts were light & flaky; fillings, creamy & not too sweet; the scones? My all time favorite were the best I have everrrr had! Served with a whipped butter that was to die for.Great little place, very reasonably priced for the product & atmosphere.A lovely gift area with everything Tea related and some really cute, unique baby gifts. All reasonably priced!Highly recommend for ANY occasion or just a nice outing.

We had a beautiful time here in celebration of our mother’s birthday. Our server, Dawne, was so sweet and accommodating. The tea room had a lovely ambience and the selection of brews was otherworldly. The food was delightful, to boot. First time sampling Devonshire cream — so delectable! We certainly look forward to returning.

I love some tea time with my mom and friends. This place is perfect for the occasion. The staff is wonderful and always ensure you have a wonderful time. The food and tea are delicious. One thing I love is their rule of silencing your phone while in the tea room. They want to ensure you enjoy your time and make those with you, your top priority by giving the attention to the time there. Have been there twice and will go again soon.

I ordered two of the take home afternoon tea kits and everything was amazing. Its all petite, but you get a lot of food! The food was so fresh and flavorful and I loved my tea choices. Cant wait to give tea in the dining room a try! I am an awful picture taker, dont be fooled by that, everything is packaged wonderfully and the presentation is very appetizing :D

Visited the White Heron this past weekend for a bridal shower. Wow!! What a delightful afternoon! This was my first time doing tea, as it was for many of the girls in attendance. It was an intimate and relaxing experience, one which I enjoyed thoroughly. Everything-from delicious finger sandwiches and light desserts, to flavorful, aromatic teas, served in our individual tea pots-was lovely! I spent some time browsing through the gift shop afterward. The White Herons proprietor, Kelly Hackman, has even partnered with local chocolatier, William Dean, to sell their artisan chocolates, and she also carries another favorite-Florida Salt scrub products. I will certainly return in the future for some tea and some gift shop purchases.

I believe they impressed on a 1 out of 3 on the high tea. I have been to a good number of tea rooms in my time collectively and I have to say this was the scarcest dessert plate I have ever seen and some of the desserts were good and some were to be desired. The scones were very very dry, and I usually love scones, but I did not care for either of them. And now for the one out of three, the sandwiches were good I will say that. Best way to describe the decor was modern, elegant, clean-cut and quaint. It has a Better Homes and Gardens meets Tea Room kind of feel to it. Silver, gray, white, and turquoise seem to be the color scheme here with white-washed effects. If youre hoping for a Victorian or Old World Victorian type of feel this would not be the place for you. Sidenote, upon being seated and starting our high tea at the very first cup of tea, when I went to add sugar there was a lump in my sugar from dampness and there was a hair in my sugar. When brought to the servers attention they apologized and said they would get us a new one but did not return with a new one, another staff member assisted us by giving us a sugar canister from another table. And lastly, I found it in very poor taste that they started frying up bacon in the back room during our high tea which permeated throughout the building (though not very big), but I found it in poor taste since high teas are almost always prepared with a reservation prior cooking is not usually done at the time and not that type of cooking. Its like smelling Chinese food when you sit down in an Italian restaurant for an Italian meal, it just kind of messes you up.... I have had nicer experiences for a better price but it is a local place if you hail from the New Port Richey area, so considering I didnt have to drive too far, all in all it was okay.

Definitely worth the 50-minute trip and a return visit. A delightful experience.

This has become a tradition every year for my daughters B-day. We have treated friends in the past but this year was the two of us. The presentation is beautiful, it makes you feel like a royal. Theres a unique gift shop in front that leads to two beautifully decorated rooms... Enjoy 🍵

I have wanted to have tea, my whole life. I am an avid Downton Abbey fan and wanted so badly to experience the wonder of Tea Time. Ive never had scones but, they were dry and spongy. The sandwiches were just ham and cheese, cucumber and chicken salad on a croissant. Tiny amount deserts.The Teas was delicious, once I got to drink it. I waited seven minutes for someone to show up with sugar and cream. I finally asked and got sugar packets///. 18.95 a head..Naw, I think ill pass. Glad I got to expereience it but, it was not what I thought it was going to be. Sweet ladys, beautiful room but..its just flat.

Excellent food, tea and service! Its a beautiful interior and the table settings are beautifully done.Reservations are necessary, as with most popular dining spots, so there is no waiting in line. Little touches are obvious throughout The White Heron and the gift shop has what I call zones - areas of specific appeal to age groups and themes.The owner is knowledgeable about tea, well-trained, and obviously well-traveled.

I absolutely love Kelly and all of the kind ladies found here at the tea room. Prices for the tea room are extremely reasonable as are the prices in the gift shop. Kelly and team go above and beyond to make a person feel welcomed. They know their tea ingredients by heart, yet are always willing to double check for any reason!!!! They have a very wide variety of teas and are always more that willing to create the small bags if there are none. The open house nights are fantastic for trying new teas as are the tea nights!

What can I say except that this is a little of pocket of Heaven here on Earth for me! I have been to other Tea houses, and NONE come close to the warm friendly atmosphere of The White Heron! The food and teas are divine! Anyone who would say otherwise about this gem of a place would truly perplex me! So that is my review...Oh my it is time for Tea:)

Awesome experience. Ive lived here most of my life and embarrassed to say this was my first trip, but not my last. My niece had her bridal shower here and it was beautiful. I had the monk tea which was delicious and the cucumber sandwiches were my favorite, but they were all really good. Dawne was our hostess and she did an amazing job.

We love this place! Got carry out afternoon tea. It was packed real pretty with doilies so you still feel like its something special.

Cant wait to go back there.

Love this place! My friends and I come every month. The food is delicious and fresh, unlike other tea shops in the area. The owners and staff are super friendly. The cookies and cream scones are my favorite - not too sweet. Chicken salad sandwich is also amazing and I usually hate chicken salad. So many wonderful tea flavors - recommend the cream caramel!

What a wonderful destination experience. Ana, our hostess was informative and lovely. The atmosphere is quiet and tastefully decorated. Our time there was not rushed in any way and was quite peaceful. I was able to visit with my family without the normal din of a usual restaurant.The food was plentiful...we had to get to go boxes and delicious. The teas were delicious.This is definitely a place I will recommend to friends and family.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! My fiance and I stopped in for some tea to go. He was unsure what he wanted to try. They assisted him with selecting just the right tea. They have a beautiful gift shop with tea accessories, jewelry, a variety of specialty treats, so much more. Definitely a must see.

I am thrilled to have found The White Heron. Since moving to Florida 2 years ago I have been in search of a tea room with the charm this place has. I loved that it was quiet and beautiful. Service was great.I do want to say that the scones were a little disappointing. They were more the consistancy of cake rather than scones. And there was no lemon curd to go with the cream and jam.The sandwiches were delicious. The chicken salad on a croisant may have been better served on smaller bread. I found the delicious chicken salad to be lost in all of the bread.Everything else was perfect.I cant wait to take my out of town friends for tea!

Went to Tea tasting and was able to find teas that I really liked and some that were not for me, before buying. The artisan chocolates were all excellent quality. Had a good time and learned a few things. Great hosting by staff and very friendly.

Favorite place to go by far. The staff is really nice and the teas are delicious, and there are many different kinds of teas, even for people who aren’t really tea drinkers. My boyfriend and I have been about 10 times or more, and we both recommend it ☺️

Excellent tea house with a modern elegant Florida theme. I love my food everytime I go and Ive never had an issue with any of the teas. I love their goji berry green tea, iron goddess of mercy, and granny green apple the most. All teas are avilable for sale in the gift shop. If you dont see the blend you want, you can ask and they will bag you up the tea you desire. The owner takes part in community events, hosts after hour tea parties, and season tea tasting events. Some of my favorite tea blends were first tasted at some of these events. The staff is super friendly and its like going to visit your friends house. And while I can always stop in for a cup of tea or scone whenever, I look forward to my next afternoon tea reservation the most.

The atmosphere is lovely, the service was very good. We were not impressed at all with the food as it seemed it was prepped too far in advance. A few more touches could be made to make this five stars for me.

Not a good experience the tea hostess was rude the food awful the tea it self was ok no cream they dont make there own scones. To answer your question we were there today for about 20 years the women in our family have an annual Christmas tea this year we ventured outside our regular place and sadly we regretted it, yes you had devonshire cream but no milk for tea, I dont want to continue you may have had a bad day today, it happens, I would definitely have a word with your tea hostess.

What a wonderful and special time we J Girls from Clearwater had at the beautiful White Heron Tea Room this past Saturday. Loved it all from the beautiful gifts/shopping to a delicious High Tea Luncheon .... everything was great (especially loved your cucumber sandwiches) and the pretty setting and service ~ along with tasty teas! Thanks to our gracious hosts .... it was a memory making visit!

The service was excellent, loved our tea specialist, very friendly and knows tea. The portions were more than enough and very tasty. I would visit a minimum of twice a week if I lived here.

This is the greatest shop. It is so beautifully decorated and they carry such unique items. The tea room is unbelievable. So gorgeous! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the areas history. Make sure to stop in when youre in downtown new port richey.

This place was exquisite. We were stuffed with the 3 tiers of food and got the “afternoon tea”. My favorite was the snickerdoodle tea, it was to die for. Everything was so fresh. Such a great and quiet experience.

Too many rules. Very strict policy. Limited menus choices. Owner very nice but our server seemed stressed and not very friendly.

This is a lovely, hidden jewel. There is a fine assortment of tea blends, sandwiches, (including cucumber sandwiches), and sweets. We enjoyed the quiet and intimate elegance of the ambience where true conversation was encouraged.
