Maharajah acupuncture & herb shop is incredible. I’ve personally dealt with Dr. Lisa, I’ve traditionally always gone to the dermatologist or my primary care doctor to try and alleviate my skin issues which typically ends up as a temporary solution. Dr. Lisa is great! The acupuncture treatments I received from her were second to none. David is an absolute savant when it comes to addressing and alleviating issues w/ natural remedies as opposed to going with the pharmaceuticals that 99% of health care ‘professionals’ recommend. I now have virtually none of the pain, anxiety & insomnia issues that I had been regularly experiencing prior to meeting them 5 years ago. Dr. Lisa has changed my life! One year ago, I lived on Tylenol pain pills and had constant pain. I heard about Dr. Lisa from a friend that had been helped with her health concerns. I figured I had NOTHING to lose. I started acupuncture treatments. The needles were a problem for me, but I was so afraid to stop just because of my fear of needles . Dr Lisa always connected with my feelings and concerns, so when I told her the needles were a problem, she had an answer to fix my fear. She has a special machine that works in similar ways, all without needles. She explained it is often used on children, and adults that fear needles! I was a happy patient! It worked wonders on me. It took 10 months, but I no longer take any pain pills and I live free of pain!Dr. Lisa is a positive, caring, very patient, professional. Her goal is to help people feel good and live their lives free of pain and medicine that can hurt their health. Insurance companies are starting to cover acupuncture, but my insurance did not cover my treatment. How sad that they will help me go to doctors that prescribe drugs that do not stop the pain, just cover it up and hurt my overall well being, but did not cover the answer to stopping my pain without hurting my health. Dr. Lisa helped me reach my goal of living pain and drug free.....that is priceless to me!I am so thankful for her . Dr. Lisa is absolutely amazing! I came in with an old neck injury from an accident that flared up so bad that I was in severe pain and my right arm was numb and my nerves were firing with raging pain. I saw 3 neurologist and the only person who was able to help me with any relief was Dr. Lisa Maharajh! She did acupuncture and worked her magic and it was the first time I was able to sleep in weeks and weeks. She took time with me and also helped educate me so I could know how to help myself if and when flare ups happen. As a healthcare provider myself, I am well aware of the multitude of prescribed treatments available for chronic health conditions. However, my own personal experience with severe insomnia and systemic lupus flares needing hospitalization required me to look at alternatives to chronic disease management. It is hard for me to describe how miserable I felt before I started to see Lisa. No matter what I tried to do to feel healthy again, nothing was working. None of the medical specialists that I consulted with were able to help.When I had my first consultation with Lisa, I brought my medical records with me and we reviewed them together. We discussed a plan of care and began my treatments. It wasnt a quick fix, it took about 6 months, but I could feel a slow progression towards wellness during that time. Lisa always took the time to analyze any new symptoms and adjust my care as needed. This was especially important to me because it showed me that she actually CARED how I was doing.I am now sleeping through the night WITHOUT any sleep aids! My chronic lupus ailments are minimal and manageable with an occasional Ibuprofen.....and thats working 12 hour shifts in the Emergency Room! I had my first accupuncture treatment from Dr. Lisa last week. My neck and upper back had been very tight and painful for about a week and a half. I tried massage, heat, tens and stretching to aliveate the discomfort with limited success.One treatment from Dr. Lisa and everything has been back to normal since! Thank you very much. Dr. Lisa really took her time and listened to me, and was genuinely concerned for the way I was feeling. She truly restored my faith in Doctors. The herbal medicine they gave me while we await test has been really calming with out sedating which is everything Ive ever wanted in a anxiety medicine. Dr Lisa SAVED my life.. I had cancer surgery and radiation treatment but the side effects left me with digestive problems, lymphedema,very high blood pressure..and Much more..Dr Lisa explained treatment via accupuncture and Oriental medicine and supplements, vitamins, and other treatments. She did extensive research to help me and found special medications and supplements for my health situation. She explained each step and treatmemt and did research for best options for me.
