I love the store but why are they still making mandatory to wear masks when the state has no more mask mandates? They will start losing a lot business for that. People are tired of masks and might choose to go to another store where masks are optional .

Love this store. Gary and his staff are always helpful, and have a good selection of wine, beer and liquor. They will order anything you want that they dont have. They always offer to carry my purchases to the car. Gary is local and his store has been in New Providence for longer than I have (Ive been here 26 years) and I like to support local owners.When my kids were in elementary school Gary supplied ice for our big fundraiser and wouldnt take any public credit because he didnt think it would be appropriate for a liquor store to be thanked by an elementary school. That impressed me.

I’m not normally one to write reviews like this but I had such a great experience here I had to share. The staff held my selections at the counter while I shopped, offered me a free bag of ice with my purchase, and carried everything out to my car! I was in and out in a few minutes on a busy Saturday night, it was so smooth and such a pleasant experience. I will definitely be making a point to come back here instead of other liquor stores!

Good group of guys who always make good recommendations and dont try to up sell you to the moon.

The owner, Gerry, has over 35 years of working with Americas best craft brewers. This gives him two things the others cant match (1) access to sought after micro brewer runs & (2) it gives him and the team a real passion for the topic which makes visiting his store more of an exploration and education than shopping trip. Stop by and youll be treated like a local from the moment you arrive.

Great selection of reasonably priced wine and liquor. Awesome selection of beer including lots of micro brews. The staff knows what theyre talking about and give great suggestions. Owner is Gary and he is extremely nice and helpful.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Gary, the owner, really knows wine and beer and always has great recommendations. I go in looking for something to pair with a particular meal, give a price range (usually $15 - $20) and I get some good recommendations. They also have some unusual wines you won’t find elsewhere, like reds from South Africa, or Spain, and a decent selection of French Bordeaux’s, and a Moscato that I have never found at the big house stores. A little more than the warehouses but good advice is worth it. Plus their walk-in beer refridge is great too.

Really great staff. Nice guys who are legitimately kind and helpful! Told them my husband was Gluten Free so they gave us a couple of free GF beers to try, it was very thoughtful!

Gary, the owner manages to pack more interesting, high quality wines and micro-brews per square foot than any other store around.More importantly, he trains his entire staff to speak knowledgeably about everything they stock; and, to provide solid advice on what to pair with specific meals, or to match with someones specific tastes.Above all else, he and his gang make you feel appreciated, whether you are buying a case, or just a lottery ticket. I highly recommend Providence Liquors.

Small store but they carry a whole lot! Gary cares too and if you want something he does not have, he always gets it in a few days and calls you when it comes in. Highly recommend.

Went into this establishment to get lottery tickets and the guy at the counter was very rude and disrespectful. I was playing numbers for my co-worker and the total came up less than what he gave me. Im wondering whats wrong, so I tried calling my co-worker to get confirmation. The worker stated I have better things to do than give out lottery tickets, I apologized for any inconvenience, he says no apology needed just go somewhere else next time. How rude and inconsiderate!!! If this guy is the owner I think he needs to stay home and have someone else handle the customer service. If hes not the owner, I strongly suggest the owner look into a hiring a person with better customer service quality.

Just like most of the other reviews here say the owner is rude. No reason to shop here with so many other liquor stores around. Might as well get your liquor somewhere cheaper like Buy Rite if you want to get treated poorly.

I was Talking to the Owner and he was very Nasty, I was comparing price with other Stores on my I phone, most of the wine was 6 to 10 dollars a Bottle compared to Total Wine on Route 22 . He told me to Buy something or Get the Hell out !
