I loved all the staff, they were super sweet and helpful. But Linda herself was a bit rude and condescending. She was even condescending to her own staff (don’t think that customers don’t notice!). Maybe this approach works for the client base you’ve already built, but I can tell you for sure this doesn’t work for new or younger clients. Do better! 😊
Linda is a very caring and thorough eye care physician. The back office may not be the greatest, and you will need to be persistent and call to check on your new glasses 🤓, but Dr. Linda makes up for any shortfalls by the back office not following through and advising that your new glasses are ready for pick up. They are all very friendly!
Ive been going to Linda for 15 years. I am very happy with their service. I have gone to other opticians once or twice during that time and came right back. I have astigmatism and bifocals so its important that I find the right place. I saw a comment about getting glasses fixed and them breaking and an unhappy client gave a one star review. Ive worn glasses a very long time, if frames are twisted or broken and you bring them into be fixed there is no guarantee that they can be fixed without the frames breaking and that goes for any optician.I have brought new frames in, that I did not purchase from Raymond and they were very clear that they did not guarantee that the frame would not break when the lenses were put in it but they would if I had purchased brand new frames them through them. I have purchased frames from them the frames were great, Ive sat on them a few times and they are still holding up. They do not sit perfectly straight on my face but I was specifically told by the Raymond staff that if I tried to get them fixed they might break. On insurance, they were very thorough when I was buying glasses. They called my insurance so that I knew what kind of a budget I had or didnt. I appreciated them doing that because insurance for the eyes can be tricky at one optician in the city they didnt tell me and when I got the bill (after I had already ordered my glasses) I nearly fainted.Im giving them 5 stars because they have stood the test of time. Lastly, I have a local business and whenever I asked them if I can leave a couple of promotional post cards they always say yes.
Just got my classes adjusted at Raymond Optical. They did a horrible job. I was considering buying my next paid of glasses from this store but the employees were very unfriendly and unprofessional. They were unable to give me accurate information about what it would cost to buy another pair of glasses without insurance. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere.
Employees are very helpful, excellent service and good variety of products. I have being using their service for the past 5 years, they always on time with your glasses.
I just got my Wood and Gold eyeglasses back and its damaged and the store in New Rochelle is taking no ownership for cracking my expensive eyeglasses. On top of this to be called a liar by the store manager is incomprehensible. When I brought my glasses into the store to have the lens replaced, the frame had one crack and the manager looked at it and said she would ask if they would be able to do replace the lens. The crack was on the outer side of the frame. She said yes they can do it. Today, I saw that my glasses. There are now two cracks, a new crack in the inner side near the nose piece with GLUE, that was not there when I gave the glasses to the store. When I called the store to let them know of the damage, the manager accused me of lying stating that the glasses were given to the store with both cracks and glued. First of all, I would never try to add glue on Gold and Wood glasses! And the store would never have accepted glasses that would not hold a lens in place with cracks on the left and right side of the frame holding the left lens. And to be told a liar over the phone, I cannot describe the insult. I work in Human Resources as a Vice President and am just shocked. I never posted a complaint on social media. But this really drew the line for me. If Raymond Opticians followed due diligence and investigated exactly what happened and looked into the matter, I would have moved on and but when my character is being questioned and... called a liar is just... outrageous!
Very unhappy with the service. I went in for a eye exam and contact fitting. After the exam Im told I was grossly undercorrected . How is that when I got my prescription there the last time?? Okay now contacts. I was given test lens to try on. they irritated one of my eyes horribly. I called and told them and asked when should i come back for a fitting. the lady who answers ask me didnt you were those before. Umm wait isnt the doctor supposed to check your eyes with the contact in it to see if they fit properly?? The shape of our eyes can and do change. I was never told to come back in a week or whatever to see if they fit properly. They are not thorough and I regret ordering my glasses from them. The reason I am giving 2 stars instead of one os because the lady who helped me pick my frames was helpful. I asked one of them for help finding my size and she said did you try on all the frames in the store?? what?? never again!!
Their eye testing machine is not up to date. I could not see with the glasses they provided and they refused to do anything about it. Not the eye doctor you should visit if you would like to see ....
Unprofessional, annoyed to call another location for the records and unwilling to help this customer out. Will ALWAYS go to the Yonkers location from now on!
