The owner and his sons were Awesome!! I was traveling thru town, it was almost 5pm, and I started having transmission trouble. I called them at 4:56pm, they close at 5. The gentleman told me to come by, that they would wait for me. They put fluids in my car and was checking for a leak, and found one. Then, it took one of the sons a whole 2 minutes to tighten up a hose. They were total life savers!! Awesome people!!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!!! This man clearly does not know how to operate a business in an orderly fashion. I brought a 2014 f250 in for a front crank seal replacement on a monday, that Thursday he called me and said it would be done that afternoon. No call back. Friday i call with no answer. Saturday i call and he tells me they have finished the seal and should have it put back together and i could pick it up Saturday. No call. Monday i call and an employee answers the phone and tells me a complete different story, they just got the truck apart and are about to do the seal. This is absolutely asinine. I run and operate 3 businesses. I need this truck for my businesses and he cannot even give me a straight story? Getting ready to tow the truck to a different shop, i am fed up.

Driving up us-1 and saw Garys Transmission shop. Stopped by cause I had a bad vibration while giving it has. Gary dropped everything, test drove my truck and new immediately what was wrong..few months later when I had the money i gave Gary a call, he already ordered the part and had it ready sense when we last spoke, and got the jobs done in 5 hours. Highly recommend this honest shop and fair price for any repairs. Thank you Gary and crew!!

Terrible service shop can’t fix a transmission solution is to put a bandage on their mess ups. Would not recommend!!!!

I have been coming to Garys Transmission for a few years now. They are great in every way youd need a mechanic to be. Gary answers the phone promptly when I call, they work quickly, and best of all their prices are fair and they never try to scam you. Ive had them do 3 jobs for me quoted over $800 at another shop that they did for $200-$300. Its hard to find an honest mechanic

My rear end went in my ford . They had it replaced with in a day and back to me. And put a better one in . Prices are reasonable and they know there stuff I would recommend gary with no hesitation.quality work at great price

HAD TO CALL NSB PD. AFTER WAITING 5 WEEKS NO REPAIRS & 1 WK WAITING FOR MY VEHICLE TO BE UNBURRIED TO GET TOWED!!Out of recommendation, I called. Before having my vehicle towed there asked gary if it was something he would work on, (NOT TRANSMISSION) BASED. He said yes. Car was towed there. A day later I brought my own parts there. The shop ended up burying my car. No work on it in over a month. Now I called last week to have it moved to a different shop. Gary says Ive been swamped Ill move it out tomorrow. At this point Im furious and ready to involve the police. It absurd to have to fight to get my vehicle worked on/moved. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS SHOP. UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!

There is no negative star, so the worst star I could give was 1 star. Where to begin...my friend purchased a car in May that had some problems we werent sure of. We brought it to Garys and they said they would look at it and tell us what the problems were. A week later, we called to see if they had looked at it yet, and they didnt answer their phone. We called several times over the next few days, with still no answer. We went up th here, and Garys son, Chris said they had not got to it yet, but they would look at it that day, but he was very busy. We gave him a few days, and called back...no answer, AGAIN! My friend continued to call these people and go to the shop several times over the next few.months, and they still never looked at her car. She is obviously more patient than I am, and wanted to give them more time to look over her car and tell her what the problem was. Finally, after having her car in their possession for over 2 months, they tell her its the fuel pump. They told her if she buys the fuel pump they will install it, and gave her a price and a time when it would be done. After yet another week goes by, she tries to call to see if they had finished installing the fuel pump, again, no answer. After having her car for 3 months, they FINALLY told her that the fuel pump was installed, but it now needed a tune up. They tell her to go get spark plugs and they would give her a tune up at no extra charge. Well, after another 2 weeks of ghosting her, they finally answered the phone and said they havent got around to it yet, but it will be done by Saturday at noon (Saturday, Aug.29th). Being very excited that her car would finally be done, we took our lunch break from work and drove down to their shop. We got there at 12:12 pm. The shop closes at 12 noon on Saturdays, but they said they would wait for us. Well, we get there, and nobody is there. The shop is closed and all locked up. She then called...no answer, and they are closed on Sunday. Monday (yesterday) comes, and when my friend calls, they answer and tell her that they were too tired on Saturday to do the tune up. They said it would be done by Monday at the end of the day. Again, not finished and no answer on their phone. We drove up there this morning and she asked them what happened. He told her it would be done by lunch time today, Sept 1, 2020. and he was charging her an extra $85. Finally after 3 months of these people giving my friend the run around, they finally finished her car and we drove it off the lot. These people call themselves Christians? They did nothing but cause my friend 3 months of having to get rides to and from work, missing out on job opportunities that were much needed because of COVID 19, and the financial stress that has been placed upon her. She had no transportation, and almost driving her into a depression. Thank you very much Garys!!

Don’t know how to fix a speedometer and don’t like Chryslers he doesn’t communicate, well with me at least he wasted a week of my time told me one thing was messed up and then when picking my car up to take it next door he said all these other things was wrong when I got there my car was dead I just got a New battery and a new alternator the end of January and said my car was dead because I need those things done but when started all my doors wasn’t shut all the way im just sayin bad for business

We went to Garys transmission to have our engine replaced we were quoted $450 and paid $500 upfront so they can pick our engine up plus 2 transmission for other jobs. They repaired the other jobs first and when we asked about our car 3 weeks later he replied that he gave us a great deal so we were being put on the back burner because that all his other jobs were $1000 jobs. now were having another mechanic repair it and its costing over $500 fix what Garys transmission messed up.

This is the worst place to bring your transmission unless you have no life.they will tell you in will be ready at a certain day expect to have it 3 weeks after that..thats just a start when you finally get your car since you have nothing to do you will bring it back several times for the same problem. SO TO FINALIZE THIS REVIEW IF YOU HAVE NO LIFE AND BORED GO THERE YIU WILL HE HAPPY.IF YOU HAVE A LIFE AND A JOB I DONT THINK IS THE PLACE FOR YOU

Im from out of state, On the way back from The Cape Canaveral National Park, my car began to make horrible noises in the front end. Believing it was a hub (it was) I pulled into Garys as he was the closest one to me as the noise became louder. He quickly assessed the problem, spoke with me for a few minutes, I explained I had a dog in the car which he stated was no problem, and he quickly and very efficiently took care of the problem at an extremely reasonable cost. Thank you sir for your caring, compassionate business. It saved us from a possible horrid mess.

Amazing shop! Gary and his sons are knowledgeable and always very nice and respectful! I use to live right around the corner and by chance one day I stopped in... Years go by and I need major transmission work and I remember how they were always professional and kind.. I literally had my vehicle towed 27miles to his shop when there are 5 transmission shops within 5miles of my house, Gary not only beat the other shops prices but had it fully rebuilt in one day!! This was a Full rebuild too on a Colorado Xtreme, the significance is it requires a small (high stall converter) and other parts not as easily to come by.. I picked it up a day later and I couldn’t be happier! Trust me I will forever and always take my transmission jobs to Garys, I myself do everything But touch transmissions lol

Had him rebuild my transmission for $700 it went out in 2 weeks he rebuilt it charged me another $200 it lasted two months and has quit again

Been trying to contact him over 3 weeks now all he say is he give me call but never nothing i paid 800 dollars for a transmission took him 3 weeks to even do it then the next day after getting car done the transmission stops working he has yet to try to even help me
