Pete and Laura gave me a fair and honest price on a new outboard and their team did a great job with the installation. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great, honest shop. I will definitely be taking my boat back here for the regular maintenance even though they are an hour and a half from my home! Very pleased overall!

Based on the reviews I read I had high expectations for this business. Peter was the only person I dealt with one on one and he was very friendly and polite. I do have to question the honesty and integrity of the mechanic who supposedly worked on my outboard. Perhaps because it was obvious I wouldnt be spending an exorbitant amount of money on my little old outboard they werent interested in actually wasting their time with it. The motor started very easily and still does and ran great at higher rpms but would not idle properly. Not being a 2 stroke specialist myself I thought I would have them take a look at it and hopefully just fine tune the carb settings or at least figure out what the issue was and allow me to decide my course of action at that point. The process was supposed to take a week but when I called to check on it they hadnt even touched it. Apparently other jobs that were in line prior to mine took longer than expected. This really wasnt a problem as I was in no rush. I called to check the following week and still the motor had not been touched. Then supposedly 2 days later the mechanic managed to take a look at it and was unable to get it to start claiming there was no spark and stating that my compression was 20 psi lower on both cylinders than when I tested it. I was told I should probably replace the points and condenser and go from there. That raised a red flag for me immediately because my motor doesnt have points and condenser it has a cdi. I picked up the motor and when I got it home hooked it to the fuel tank, pumped it up and low and behold it fired right up and ran just like it had before I dropped it off. I then checked my compression and guess what? It was exactly what it was before I dropped it off. Long story short unless you are spending big bucks you may want to look elsewhere for reliable service. In my opinion of course

I live in South Carolina and trailered my boat 375 miles each way to Due East Marine.... Why? Because thats how great this shop is. They completed all repairs ahead of schedule. Price, even when factoring in the cost to travel to and from the shop...they were still the most economical for the repairs. Quality, top notch! Also they treated my 41 year old Boston Whaler like Royalty...Honest, you bet they are...no BS at this shop. I want to thank the 2 techs, Garrett and Jeremy for the excellent service that they did. Laura and Pete are the owners and are also fantastic. If your having boat problems, please come visit this shop...you will be impressed and pleased.....these folks live and breathe boats and have a very vast family heritage in the marine industry as well..

I heard about this business from a friend of mine who told me they are top shelf. He was right. Peter and crew helped me out with a warranty issue on a boat I had recently purchased elsewhere. Took my boat in for a busted live well pump. Due East got the replacement pump in and had the boat ready for pickup that afternoon. When I went to pick it up Pete noticed the jack for the trailer wasn’t positioned correctly and offered to reset it on the spot, at no charge. It looked like the boat had been washed as well. Friendly folks and a spotless, professional shop.

What a pleasant experience it was to work with Peter and Laura on recommissioning my near 30 year old C-Cory cruiser. They are the real deal boat people. They do not try to up sell or do phony repairs and the quality of there work is excellent. Due East Marine is certainly my go marine shop from now on.I do not need a new outboard.... but if I did I would seriously consider giving them my business, they sell Honda & Tohatsu, because I know I would get a fair deal..Jim & Jennifer Fox

I have to say i own this pontoon for many years and never ran this good. I was very impressed needless to say this is the only place i will have my boat serviced . Great customer service. Took my boat in to have a new trolling motor on along with a few other minor issues addressed. They Got it done and had it back to me the next day. Would definitely recommend and I’ll be back in the future for sure.

Fantastic service! The staff is very friendly and professional. I took my boat in because it had low power and they were able to diagnose and fix the problem in a short time. They definately have a new regular customer.

I took my 22’ Pathfinder to them to have the bilge pump replaced. Took it in Thursday around noon, and it was done and ready for me to pick up Friday mid-afternoon. Peter was very friendly and professional, the price was quite fair, and I will definitely be back for future maintenance needs.

I have a seadoo challenger and was worried I wouldn’t be able to find anyone to help me out with a steering cable, they went above and beyond and overlooked everything for me. Quick service, very friendly, did little extra things that needed attention but wasnt asked to do as part of the same labor cost of fixing it, like make sure dry areas that needed greasing got greased. Definitely recommend them.
