I ordered two large skylights from Alex that arrived beautiful. Not only were they sized correctly to my custom dimensions, Aqel even built the 4 curb width all the way around that I needed to correctly install them. The insulated glass option was an added bonus, and the skylights ended up looking great. The price was fair, and included delivery. I highly recommend this place.

Aqel did a amazing job reconfiguring my metal bed frame. My bed head was too high and I needed to have a portion of the metal frame cut out and have the remaining frame welded back together. I received a turn around in less than 24 hours and the reconstruction of the bed frame was done with precision.

It never cease to amaze me that there is a steel workshop inside Manhattan. Each time I step into the store and ask for some custom steel structure, Alex and his dad pick up a piece of steel from their store room and cut, bend, weld, bind, and twist the steel plate using various machines inside the store. At awe with the amazing workmanship, I felt that I was transported 100 years back in time to look at some master at work. For a fair price, I got a custom made product in front of me and a memorable experience. I am a satisfied customer. These guys also have advanced large machines that can produce huge structure for you.

Great place for shet metal and skylights

Needed so parts to add a filter rack to a duct. They fabricated them to my dimensions while I waited. so handy to have a place like this in Manhattan.

I purchased a fabricated return vent on 7/16/20, I gave sarah the measurements for the vent; she never specified inner or outer measurements only measurements. When I received the vent it was two inches too big all the way around, they made me pay for another vent and when I received the second one it was flat with no edges and white which originally I purchased an aluminum grill. I can hardly get a hold of anyone there and when I do they are rude, unprofessional, and extremely disorganized. I lost in all roughly $475.00 with these people, Im taking the time to write this review to save someone else from making the same mistake also I believe companies should hold theyre selves to a hire standard and not take the money and dispose of the customer. Seems like customer service no longer exists.

Had 60 large pans for water heaters made in record time at 40% less then other sheet metal fabricators charged. Good old school people that get the job done. Great job.

Avoid this company at all cost.Unfortunately I did not read the reviews before I contracted with them to remove an old and install a new exhaust chimney. They did not show up when they were supposed to! Communication was non existent.Tried for 2 weeks to reach out to the owner Alex who blatantly ignored my attempts to reach him.After repeated calls over 2 weeks to get them to finish the job, when eventually they did complete (supposedly) on a Friday afternoon they demanded immideate on the spot payment! I assured them they would be paid promptly, after I received all the appropriate paperwork including their insurance and an invoice stating the job was completed.Saturday morning men from their company (Aqel) proceeded onto the property they had supposedly finished their work the day before and started to remove portions of the new chimney. Professional? You be the judge.

Our experience with Aqel has been a nightmare.They did two small commercial exhaust systems for us and nothing was done to code and perhaps even worse, nothing works!-On two occasions I caught them trying to install used blowers-We received several EPA violations due to the equipment not being code compliant-They could not care less about fixing their mistakes. Really the mistake we made was paying them when the jobs were done so poorly.

Alexander and those working were kind, efficient and reasonably priced. ...same afternoon build on a custom oven vent duct piece!

Don’t go to this place. Alex and his Dad sold me a skylight that was leaky and not sealed properly by their installers. I’ve requested several times for them to come and fix it and they ignore my calls and emails.

Came to buy a plenum for a static duck the box was not put together ...the sheet metal was pitted with water stains the job was horroable then the manager shifted the blame on me...then I demanded a new box and the new box was bent up and sloppy not professional
