Very very impressed by the quality of work, detail orientation & service by Carpet Culture. We brought in a vintage rug that came with a strong musty odor and they completely eliminated it - rug came back smelling like fresh laundry. We had a second rug that we had accidentally damaged while trying to clean ourselves, leaving behind multiple bleached / discolored spots throughout. They were able to restore the rug to its original like new condition. It was a high quality wool rug and we are so thankful they were able to save it. Highly recommend and will definitely be doing business with Carpet Culture again in the future. Thank you Javaid & team!
Gorgeous rug, exceptional & truly personalized service. Javaid cares about making sure his customers are respected and heard. The outstanding quality of the merchandise is matched by the care of those who work there.
We reached out to Carpet Culture to resize a silk rug. While there was a slight issue with the new binding because of the material, the crew at Carpet Culture immediately corrected the issue. The rug turned out beautifully! Quick and friendly service.
I wanted to write to say how very grateful I am to have found Javaid and his rug store, Carpet Culture. I was moving from my apartment and had a Persian rug that had belonged to my parents many years ago, and which I, myself, hadnt properly cleaned or maintained. The rug also had a dog urine stain that had been there for many years and which it was believed to have become a fixture of the rug. In addition, the fringes were in not so good condition.Carpet culture picked up the Persian rug (and, in addition, two smaller rugs). Upon a detailed inspection, Javaid, the owner, called me to explain all the work that he recommended be done. Since I hadnt properly cleaned or maintained the rug for so long, it needed additional and more time involved work just to preserve the integrity of the rug and return it as much as possible to its original state. As part of the cleaning process, Javaid explained that the rug needed to be soaked several times just to get out as much of the dirt and dust as possible that had accumulated within the fibers over many years. And, Carpet Culture was actually able to remove the urine stain that had been there for so many years and which some other carpet cleaning companies had said could not be removed. Carpet Culture also repaired and restored the fringes, which was necessary both for appearance as well as integrity of the rug.Javaid explained that some of the processes used to clean, repair, and restore the rug were processes traditionally used by rug craftsmen for many years. I believe this is largely the reason Carpet Culture was able to achieve the expert results that it did.Upon delivery of the rug, my mother and I were so delighted to see the rug after it had been given the loving and expert care that Javaid and Carpet Culture provided. They took time and care to lay down the rug (and padding). For me, its a testament from me to both my parents that a rug that had belonged to them since when they first got married was (finally) being given the care that it so truly deserved.Carpet Cultures prices for each stage and portion of the work were fair and honest in every respect. Javaid would only do work on the rug that he felt was truly needed. My mother subsequently decided to have her silk rug cleaned after seeing the beautiful work done by Carpet Culture on the Persian rug, and the results were similarly wonderful. My sincere thanks to Javaid, and to Carpet Culture, for their honesty, professionalism, and friendliness, and for the very expert and caring work they did in cleaning and restoring a rug that had been in the family for many years.
Great selection of high quality options. Easy to make an appointment and our selection was waiting for us when we arrived. Will definitely come back for any other carpets and cleaning/service we need in the future. Thank you!
I purchased a handmade rug of silk sarees from them. A wonderful product and awesome looking. Needed the rug to be made to two 5x8 pieces, bonded and tied.Capet Culture is a phenomenal company to shop for and get custom services done with the rugs. Very professional, courteous and fantastic service. Great collection and special values. Thanks you guys, Anil
Amazing experience! A great selection of beautiful and diverse rugs and a lovely team of people to assist. Within one day we had the rug of our dreams! We looked on the website first and then went in store to see and feel the rugs. The selection was great and the owner was very knowledgeable and helpful. We were in and out in 15 mins. Definitely recommend Carpet Culture.
Amazing experience. We got a great price on a beautiful rug that seems exactly like one we saw at Restoration Hardware for about half the price. Everyone we dealt with was nice, helpful and informative. Theyll be the only place we shop for rugs from now on.
Carpet Culture is the best carpet cleaner we have ever used. He uses a portable machine instead of a truck mounted machine but he does great work at the best price. We will use him again and again!
Its like I have a whole new place now! So glad I am using Carpet Culture rug cleaning services since 2005. The rates are still very good and the services are fabulous. My rugs came spotless and they smell great! I am very happy with their services and would definitely use them again. I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone. Thanks again Carpet Culture for your excellent services.
I needed a rug for rentals. My friend recommended that I should use carpet culture as he had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and the collection was amazing. Roy handled my order with professionalism. Thank you Roy for being so great & friendly. Will definitely be back!!!
I used Carpet Culture services before moving into my new apartment. They did a fabulous job, took all the dust and dirt out of my living room Persian rug I inherited from my parents. This is the first time I have used a company to clean my valuable rug.I will recommend Carpet Culture to my friends and will continue to use their services. Thumbs up for your wonderful services!
I live in New York, but I work for modeling company based in California. My company need to come to New York for a Photo shoot. We were looking for rugs to rent for our dresses to contrast with. We were in the market to see the rugs and went to several places. We barely found any rug store which had the type of rugs that we were looking for and their rental prices were too high so we couldnt decide right away. On the way back to the hotel we went for dinner at broom street we saw beautiful carpet store but it was closed. I googled their website and I have never seen an easier website. Everything is categorized as shop by price and size. Next morning we went there and looked at the store. They had huge collection of rugs, Their rental price was also very reasonable. We got very good deal. They provided free pick up and delivery services too. It was an awesome experience. Ive recommended so many people to them since then. I will choose Carpet Culture for all my future rug rental services.
Carpet Culture beautifully restored the fringes of my antique Berber rug and cleaned it professionally (no traces left from an unfortunate run-in the rug had with a glass of red wine!). I can highly recommend Carpet Culture – this is the second time I have used their services and both times I was impressed, not only by the quality of their work but also by the personal involvement of the owner, Javaid, who insures an ultra-smooth / VIP experience for the customer. Carpet Culture will be my go-to place for rugs and rug cleaning in NYC for some time to come!
Another year, another great service. Came on a Tuesday Night (great for our schedule) & worked quickly & efficiently. Service was reasonably priced & carpets looked great!
I was met by incredible service and a deep knowledge base. The staff is dedicated and very accommodating. After I bought the carpet they offered to drive it all the way out to Brooklyn and drop it off at my house. The owner was there the second time I came in and was really helpful and even gave me the carpet liner for free. Support this business!! They are passionate about their product and about their costumers satisfaction.
It was my friends Birthday and I couldnt decide what to buy. I saw Carpet Culture while I was taking my morning coffee at Happy Bones. There I found a TURKISH VINTAGE KILIM BAG which I thought would be the best fit for my best friend Zara. The design of the bag is so awesome and the quality of the product is 10 out of 10. The price was only $199, and its worth it. We were satisfied. Products are Very well designed. And the best thing is, she loved is so much.
We just moved in the Bronx. I was looking for some well made rug for our new houses living room. We didnt find any good store in the Bronx. Then, did some online researching and found this beautiful store as a solution. We purchased a soumack rug from Carpet Culture. The design is very beautiful. They added a FREE rug pad. Wed recommend this store.
Got a beautiful 8 x 10 Saree Silk rug on sale for $699- within my budget. Beautiful rug store. Excellent on line selection. The products we saw in person are exactly described on website. I love my rug.
I moved into my new apartment and was excited to get my oriental rug, which was in the storage for a while. When I opened it at my new apartment. The moth were flying everywhere. I saw several holes and I was very upset. It was a valuable rug which my husband gifted me at my birthday. I dont know what to do with the rug.One of my friend recommended me to Carpet Culture. I called them and they picked up my rug. My rug was returned in few weeks. They did such a good job and I couldnt find the damage. They also gave me some tips as how to prevent my rug from moths in future. Highly recommended!
While I visited New York City last october, I bought a pair of shoes from this store. They are very well made. Its very hard to find good shoes for people like me with wide feet but these shoes easily fit and its very comfortable. I really like the color and the quality of the product is great. I still have them in good condition. Id definitely buy another pair and recommend them to everyone.
John arrived ahead of time to do the estimate and Dwayne did an excellent job on my office carpets and in a timely fashion. No chemical odors either! I had a narrow window of opportunity scheduling wise and they were very accommodating. Good work at a good price with good customer service. A trifecta in my book! An independent business well worth supporting.
I dont think my rugs were cleaned for years. They were filthy. I found Carpet Culture through yelp and was impressed by all the reviews. I have tried a number of rug cleaning companies in the past and have been really dissatisfied with them all. This is one of the best service experiences I Ive had in past years. Excellent customer services including the cleaning updates and drop off..... The charges are reasonable and the work is excellent. I will definitely be using Carpet Culture again.
The guy on the phone was super helpful answering my questions and setting up my appointment .I got the opportunity to find this company online. They got some wine stains out of my living room rug. I am very pleasedI already recommended Carpet Culture to my friend and decided to get on Goggle + to give them a positive review! I would definitely hire them again.
Carpet Culture give a great value of time. I called them to clean my rug, and they were at my place on time to pickup. It costs me a good amount of money. But, I was pleased, my rug came in very clean and spotless. Very professional. Id recommend them.
We Bought 4 pieces of vintage kilim pillow cases made in turkey from carpet culture online. They are beautiful. Just the perfect match with my rug. Fast Delivery, safe payment methods. So far, we are so happy with it. It added beauty in our room. Thanks to Carpet Culture.
My dog pee on my Moroccan rug. It needed to clean it ASAP. I called Carpet Culture. The pick up guy was very nice and helpful moving my coffee table. They beautifully cleaned my rug. All the stains are gone and it smells great. I am very pleased and will recommend them.
I had previously used one carpet cleaning company and noticed simply wasted my money for the terrible job they did. My doorman recommended Carpet Culture. My rugs came back clean and smells amazing. I am extremely satisfied with the services. The delivery guys were very friendly. I will definitely keep them in mind for any future services.
An excellent place to buy rugs. Javid is incredibly knowledgeable and will go the extra mile to make sure youre happy with your purchase. The rugs are beautiful, and well priced. Much more so than ABC Carpet or other local competitors for comparable or superior quality. Their rug cleaning and repair service is also top notch.
As we were preparing to bring a new baby into the home, we wanted to be prepared in advance by attending new arrivals room. We were in the preparation process of furnishing, room color, bedding and more. The baby will be crawling before walking and will spend time on the floor. We were looking for a rug which will be hygienically healthy that will not put our childs health in danger. We did some on line research and found Carpet Culture. The website was very impressive and we loved the display of the rugs.
We were in Soho looking for last minutes Christmas deals. We came across this beautiful rug store on Broome Street named Carpet Culture. We were not in the market for rugs. We saw this Moroccan lady Fatima repairing old Turkish kilim rug. We spend some time watching her how neat job she was doing. We had some rugs to clean and asked the guy how much you charge to clean rugs. They quoted me a price.I said that seems reasonable price but we live in Connecticut. I have to find somebody locally. I couldnt believe he offered me free delivery and free pick up. I scheduled the date and they came and picked up 5 rugs. My rugs were returned back in one week. The rugs came back clean. It was worth a try.
I decided to give this place a try after reading all the positives reviews on Goggle. The pick up guys were supposed to show up at 11.00 am but arrived at 10.30 am. My Turkish Kilim rug was returned timely. It was cleaned professionally and looks brand new. I had a really nice experience with this company. They did a terrific job.I have used other rug cleaning companies in the city. I will be comfortable using Carpet Culture again. I will definitely recommend them!
We are in the process of opening pop-up store for a month near Soho and we needed antique look huge rug. We went couple of rug places to get the rug on rent. Their charge was very high. It looks like buying a rug. We did some research online and read some review. We went to this rug store which is literaly 5 blocks away. They have a huge collection from around the world. It took me a while to choose the rug because they had tremendous collections of rugs. The sales person spoke to the owner and explain my situation. The owner provide me rug rental at a discounted rate and also gave me additional neighborhood discount and wish me good luck for my new business. It was very amazing experience ever!
Bought a pair of rug shoes last year from carpet culture. Forgot to rate them until I got their email again. Shoes are very strong and of good quality. Id love to shop, and stop by again.
Hands down, best rug store anywhere. We were in search of a rug for our dining room and, tricky as it were, we needed the rug to go with our Afghan living room rug (what happens in open floor planning) as theyd be in close proximity to one another. Juvaid helped us purchase what was the perfect complement to the other rugs in our apartment. Highly recommend this small shop for its selection, friendly atmosphere and expert guidance. Skip the big box stores; go here!
I bought an Afghani Tribal Rug a month ago. It was on sale for $199. I saw it online, then visited the store in lower Manhattan. The product was just as described on their website. Very nicely designed and the product is wonderful. Also, the employees are very smart, helpful and friendly. Id recommend Carpet Culture for everyone!
Ive been buying runners from Carpet Culture for years now, my father introduced me to this place! Their rug collection is so unique and trendy! I am SO glad they moved to a new location! I was ready to invest in a new rug for my apartment, and knowing that the Carpet Culture isnt on Crosby street anymore freaked me out! The new location is like a museum. Im in love! Found a Moroccan 69, thanks to Javaid. He always takes his time and is very patient with explaining the origins of the Carpet. Excellent service!
Large selection of rugs at fair prices. I found some rugs which are very hard to find at other rug stores. I moved to Soho and bought a beautiful over dyed rug at very reasonable price. My dog peed on the rug same day it arrived. I was angry and sad. I called them and the trucker arrived within an hour. They not only clean the rug free for me. My rug was returned back spotless within one week. The gentleman Javaid was very quick and efficient. I couldnt stop giving them a positive review. They deserve one.
Carpet Culture is a true find.I have a very valuable carpet that was seriously harmed by water damage. I priced and interviewed several companies, including the most prestigious, to do the repair. My insurance company described the carpet as a write off.The repair was so meticulous and blended so perfectly with the rest of the rug, that my insurance company revised their appraisal to close to the market value of the rug.Jared, the owner, was helpful, polite and extremely knowledgeable.I would not hesitate to recommend this business to anyone wanting excellent work at a fair price.
Great experience. My rugs were done in less than a week and were spotless. Not kidding. There were tar stains on one (very expensive!) rug that had been there for over a year and multiple people tried to remove and Carpet Culture got them out. I have two small children and the rug in their room was filthy and its like new now. I would have no hesitation about using them again. Much better than any of the companies that come into your house and clean the rugs there. Its totally worth it to have them take the rugs - they come back quickly and look like new.
I was moving in my new apartment in Chelsea. All of my things were in the storage. When I brought everything back home, I found my bedroom rug is smelling bad and it has some mould! I was so sad. I brought my rug into Carpet Culture as I saw them while drinking coffee in Happy Bones. The guy gave me the estimated cost. It was reasonable. I gave them the rug and gave my address. Next week they called my rug is ready for delivery. I was surprised. I wanted to see my rug before delivery as I couldt believe how come they did it that fast. I went to the store and they have opened my rug. Its totally clean and no smell at all. I am so happy with their services.
We visited Carpet Culture last month. And bought a Handmade Modern Afghani Lucia Rug for $850. The quality is very high. I took a look at the other rugs too. Their rugs are not cheap but, very well made with a great quality. Its worth the money. We are very satisfied with the one we bought.
Bought two of good quality rugs from Carpet Culture in the last October.I totally forgot to rate their product and service until I got their email today. The designs are very beautiful. One was antique Heriz and another one is Transitional Rug. We got a free delivery. And the service they provide are very convenient, Quick and very much professional. If I have to rate them. Ill rate 10 out of 10. Recommend them.
Amazing carpet. Its perfect for our living room and the best part is that the carpet is so soft, it feels as if youre sitting on a cloud. Great quality of Silk and Wool.

Wow! They cleaned my moroccan rug nicely. No spots left. I am extremely happy with their services and updates while the service was in progress. The delivery guys were very professional and nice. They helped me lay down my rug.I recommend Carpet Culture for rug cleaning services
Purchased the Uzbek Round Textile rug for $299. Very nice product for this price. Beautiful design, delivered on time, after all It made house look more beautiful. Id recommend them
The selection was amazing at an affordable price, comparatively speaking. I had to have a large carpet shipped. They packed it very well and expedited the shipment and it was on my doorstep in a week, after a trip on a container ship. I will purchase all future carpets here.
I visited the store in lower Manhattan in the last December along with my friends. The products are really attractive and well designed. And the people who work there are very friendly, and knowledgeable to give u informations on the products. cheers! Id recommend them.
I have to say this store is the best find in soho! Im so glad i walked in. I ended up getting my rug cleaned after 6 years( I know its gross ) but every quote Ive gotten in the past has been unbelievably high. The employees were super friendly and gave me a very reasonable cleaning price. The rug was picked up and delivered for free! Very pleased
My office was relocating in New York and we found a new place. We moved and found our new office place was smaller than the previous one. The rug was not very expensive but my boss likes a lot we needed to resize the rug.so I was trying to see who does the good job for resizing. No wonder, I tried to see on online and check the reviews! There I found Carpet Culture who has done excellent similar job for their clients . I scheduled for pick up. Once my rug came back from them it looks phenomenon and perfect size without loosing any design in the middle and the border. I am very happy with there work. My boss appreciated me for finding them. :D
I found this company on yelp. Got a rug cutting and binding quote over the phone. The rug was picked up on time next day. My rug was delivered as per the given time and date. They did a great job. I got 15% yelp coupon as well. Very prompt and professional.
I use several companies in the past to clean my rugs. In the beginning they did a fair job but began to get sloppy as I used them more often. This time I decided to go with Carpet Culture. They did a fabulous job. They took all the stains out and the rugs came back spotless. I am very happy with their services.
I’m so glad I stopped by and took advantage of their annual sale. I got a nice bamboo silk carpet for a good price. They have such a huge selection that it made it difficult for me to even decide which one I wanted to buy. The nice guy at the store was very patient and took his time to open up and show me a lot of the rugs.
Purchased the item Chapal Loafers - Womens Slip on loafer - Casual Wool Shoes online. It was delivered on time.Very well made and as described as on their website. Great service. Love that piece.
I have an old Persian rug that needed a little restoration/cleaning for a party I was hosting - Carpet Culture came highly recommended from one of my close friends. The owner took care of it in just a few days and was nice enough to give me a little discount on the cleaning. I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to doing business again in the future !!
I was visiting New York last November. I found Carpet Culture while I was roaming around Little Italy. Purchased vintage over dyed rug. I am pleased with the purchase. Great customer service. Javaid is a rug designer. His designs are amazing. Also his daughter is designing rug shoe. They are beautiful and very comfortable. Got a pair of shoes too!
I came to Carpet Culture to clean/restore a Moroccan rug that I had (stupidly) cleaned myself and ruined. They did a fantastic job and returned my rug in almost brand-new condition for a very reasonable price!! They also have a large selection of all types/sizes of rugs for sale.Very happy I came here and will continue to come to them for all of my rug needs. Thanks Javaid and team!!
Had carpets cleaned and repaired. They took care to do the work thoroughly and in a timely manner. They picked up and returned the rugs and helped move the furniture. Very nice owner and staff. They did a great job.
My husband came into the store to purchase carpet padding for my Girl Scout troop and the very nice gentleman who helped him, donated the padding for my 19 girls. He was most generous and kind. We made our Sit-Upons. We are so thankful for his generosity!Thank you,From Troop 5131
I bought a rug shoe from carpet culture a few weeks ago, called Donyaa Heels - Womens Fashion Heels from their website. It was just as described and its comfortable. Its still in good condition. Id recommend them.
One of the best stores in the SOHO, lower Manhattan . Their products are very nice and durable. Also, the people who work there are very friendly and always willing to help with informations. Id recommend them and visit again.
Amazing place. Great selection, awesome service, timely delivery, transparent all around. Why can’t every store be like this?
We purchased a 10 x 14 rug from restoration hardware. It was too big for out space and needed cutting and resizing. I did some online research and found Carpet Culture. They removed 2 feet in the middle of the rug without loosing any border or design. I cant figure it out how the rug was shortened. They are very professional.
I have found my new favorite rug shoes in this store! So comfortable and cute! I get tons of compliments
We had a party in our house on January 1st. My relatives came over. They spilled beer and dropped wine on the floor at night. I was so upset. It smelled really bad and messed up the whole floor. I called Carpet Culture (found them on Yelp), and they picked up on January 3rd and cleaned the rug for me. Also, it smells great. Extremely professional. Id recommend them for anyone!!
Absolutely clean! I got this rug from Carpet Culture 4 years ago and was never washed since. I had spilled red wine and was stained, plus the colors were getting opaque from just vacuum it. Brought it to Carpet Culture on a Saturday and they did a very clean job in a quick amount of time. Now is fresh and all the colors came back to life, just like when it was new. Would recommend their service to anyone. Thank you Javeid!
I live in a family where our tradition has a long history. My grand grand father had a Navajo rug which my grand father got and later on it was passed to my dad. Now few months earlier, the rug came to me as a gift from my dad. I was so happy and surprised. But I was a bit upset too. The rugs never been washed before and there were some holes. I live in Long Island, and went to a rug store here. They couldnt help me with anything. Then I looked online and found Carpet Culture. First, I was so happy, but then I saw they are in Downtown, Manhattan. Still I decided to give them a call to see if they can find me anyone near by. The person on the phone asked me to send a picture. Then he called back with the cleaning and restoration cost. Everything is acceptable, but I was worried how I am gonna go there for this as I dont go out a lot. Then I got th surprise as they are offering me free pickup and delivery. Next day afternoon they picked up my rug and returned after 3 weeks. The rug came completely clean and all areas are restored. I am so happy. First class customer service and work. Worth spending money. Thanks wont be enough.
This is the second time i used carpet culture for rug cleaning services. the work performed was neat, clean and perfect. wonderful service. cant say enough positive things about them. i will use them again.
Javaid and team did an amazing job cleaning, repairing and restoring five hand loomed rugs crafted by my great-aunt. They are about 100 years old and precious family heirlooms. Very happy!
Carpet Culture restored a poorly treated hand made silk rug fast and beautifully. I am very happy to have the rug back and in such nice condition. I would recommend Carpet Culture to anyone.
Carpet Culture did a great job adding new fringes to my oriental rug.The guy came over to my apartment to look at the rug and helped me assess, how the new fringes will be added to my rug to avoid further damage to the rug. He took the rug after we agreed with the price. My rug was returned within two weeks. They did a fantastic job and brought back to life my oriental rug....
Reached out to Carpet Culture to resize a 8x6 cotton hand-woven rug which was too big for the space we purchased it for. Carpet Culture gave a quote that was affordable and picked up the rug (out here in Brooklyn) and within the week had it back to us in the corrected dimensions. The pattern was somewhat complex so was impressed that they were able to resize without any detectable trace of carpet editing.A great find and value if youre ever in need of carpet services of any kind.
I really like this place. I wish I had a whole house to fill with their beautiful rugs. Their Vintage Kilim bags are my favorite line from the store. I also adore their vintage rug collection. I managed to purchase one Kilim bag for my girlfriend. I fully plan on going back to buy a beautiful rug in future. It will be one of my first stops soon after purchasing my first home. This is beautiful rug store in Soho to browse through if you are in the area
This place is the best!!!One star negative review should be removed. It is clearly a mistake. It Is obviously about some other company which seems to be building contractors.
I recently moved to Soho neighborhood and was looking for a Beni Quranie Moroccan rug for my new one bedroom apartment on Crosby Street. I accidentally stumbled on to Carpet Culture rug store on my way to Happy Bones to get my Morning coffee. I walked out with an amazing rug for my new home. Awesome service, great prices and great selection. Check them out before you trust my review. Will definitely be back to purchase rugs for other areas of my home.
My antique rug has 2 small holes and edges were fraying. Carpet Culture restored my rug and added new fringes. My rug looks great . They also emailed me a small video while repairing my rug.
I have a carpet that had not been cleaned for over 20 years and I was considering getting rid of it and buying a new one. Lucky for me, I found Carpet Culture and they made my worn out old carpet more beautiful than it ever had been before. They repaired tears and worn out fringes and edges. They got rid of all sorts of stains. They brought my carpet back to me so rich with color that it looked like the high def version of what had been there for all those years. Amazing! Plus, I learned that my wonderful brand newcarpet was hand made in Morocco in the 1920s and is worth a lot more money than I had ever thought. I highly recommend Carpet Culture if you need a carpet cleaned or repaired. They are top of the line in their workmanship and have very fair prices. Thank you to Javaid for your excellent personal service.
Used Carpet Culture twice in last 10 years to pick up, clean, and deliver back my wool rugs - great service, great job. thank you!
Carpet Culture has been cleaning our rugs for last 8 years. We used them first time when they were on Crosby Street. We have two lovely pets. They often do accidents. Carpet Culture always take care for cleaning of our rugs and dog pee stains. They are professional and friendly. I fully recommend them!
Ben was extremely courteous and while we had a logistical mix-up, it was my fault - not his. I would highly recommend him for services in the future.
We have expensive carpets from Iran and Pakistan. Id tried many other New York cleaners, but they would wash carpets and leave the soap in them; roll them up before they were dry; not use products that take care of our special tapestries. Then I found Carpet Culture! Mr. Bhat is knowledgeable about a wide-range of carpets. (I would certainly consider buying a rug from him over other NY dealers.) He took great care of our rugs. One is a Gabbeh, with long beige, wool strands. He returned it to us fluffy, clean, dry, and beautiful. I enjoy my rugs much more, just knowing that Carpet Culture is here whenever I need them.
Awesome products. Rug shoes and bags are very fashionable. Recommend them.
My experience with Carpet Culture was exceptional Javidad and his team did a fantastic job repairing and restoring a rug for me to have hung on a wall. Though the hole and damage to my rug was substantial, Carpet Culture was able to repair the rug leaving the previous damages totally unnoticeable. In addition, even though it was my mistake for miscommunication, Javaid went out of his way to change a detail that I wanted changed after the restoration... And again, the fix was totally my fault! The service here is exceptional. The results produced exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for high quality restorations!Oh, and did I mention that their inventory of rugs is really impressive. I was lusting after several while I was in picking up my restoration. Ill definitely be back to snag one when I am ready to add another rug to my collection.
I was traveling to Morocco last month. I have seen lots of beautiful rugs. So I decided to bring a piece with me. I brought 1 small 4 x 6 rug and one 2 x 15 Kilim runner. But the biggest problem is those were too much dusty. I needed to clean both and needed to install the runner on my stairs. So I did some search on google and yelp and found Carpet Culture. Saw people wrote really good reviews. I called the store and the guy named Javaid received my call. He gave me really good and affordable estimate. Still I made calls to 2 other companies but didnt receive that competitive quote. I decided to go with Carpet Culture. They picked up my rugs for free, cleaned them, removed all the dust and dart out. Next week the team of Carpet Culture came to my home and installed the runner nicely. It was really great to have them do my work. They did it so nicely that I cant be more than happy! I definitely recommend them to others. Their services are incredible.
Terrible, had a quote had to get another contractor to fix some steps they couldnt do, took some time, when I was ready to go they wanted full payment upfront ? No way, 50% upfront 50% on completion. Goes to show they would of just done some lousy work and left and had all the money. Unprofessional company looking to make there money and leave you wether work is up to par or not. Find someone else. There policy also stated 50% upfront and 50% upon completion, they should follow the store policy. I will let the industry know what type of people these guys are.
Had a great experience at Carpet Culture working with Javaid to find the right rug for our apartment, and he treated us with respect and care, which is not always the case especially when dealing with something that can be as picky as choosing the right rug for the right price. Had such a better time shopping here than at a big store, and will certainly be coming back and pointing all my friends here.
I am always afraid of insects and now I am afraid of Moths! Moths have destroyed my most favorite antique rug which I bought almost 10 years earlier from Carpet Culture. I knew that they do repair. So, I looked them online to get the contact information. Javid picked up my call and when I described about my past purchase, surprisingly he remembered me! I was so happy. He sent his driver right away to pickup my rug and he cleaned and destroyed all the moths and the eggs. And gave me tips how to save the rug from moths. Moreover he has restored my rug and it completely looks like nothing has happened. A great person with a lot of knowledge and experties.
Very courteous and prompt pickup/delivery. Im just not sure how my new rug is wearing. Have to wait and see.
First rate experience at Carpet Culture. My 100+year Turkoman carpet was beautifully and sensitively restored in a timely fashion.
The nicest people and extremely knowledgable. Ive bought great protective cushioning for my rug here and also had it cleaned, both great experiences.
I cant believe my eyes when I entered this store on Broome street, soho. What a collection and the price range is awesome in comparison to other places I have been. The owner Mr. Javed takes personal interest in helping you within your budget and what your likes and dislikes are.I would like to come here with my family and friends to have some of the nice collection of rugs, I have looking for my living room.
I had a fabulous 100-year old beaded Afghan saddle bag. Seams in the old wool gave way one day, sending cowrie beads all over. Javaid and his talented team repaired it so its completely impossible to see where it was damaged. Now its strong and should last another 100 years! The work took many hours longer than Javaid calculated. He did not even attempt to raise the price. He also cut an old patchwork Turkish rug in half for us. He thought the edges could be bound off relatively simply. But when the rug separated from the backing the three cut edges had to be hand-stitched. He worked very hard to find yarn to match. Again more time than hed counted on.Custom work is very hard to calculate and get right. I know because I did the pricing in a custom furniture factory for 20 years. Javaid stood by his word. An honorable man doing honorable work to valuable treasures. They say never trust a rug dealer but I sure trust him.
I had a terrible new year eve. My sister was visiting me from LA and accidentally spill red wine on my new viscose rug. I was freaked out what to do next. I found Carpet Culture on yelp. They completely took out the stains. I cant believe my eyes. It costs me money. It was worth spending money after 100% results.
Great service, kind staff. Does it properly. Highly recommend .
