Lida is amazing. She helped me pick beautiful and authentic Persian rugs. I have little boys and a dog and these rugs are durable and make a statement!!! They are such great quality- better than machine made ones form online shops that just mass produce. These are hand-made and tell stories. The minute my little one sat on it with his blanket, he felt at home. Lida not only talked to me on FaceTime and helped me pick them out. She is the queen of Persian rugs. Someone to trust when there are so many untrustworthy sellers out there. I will enjoy my rugs for a long time.oh and the price is totally reasonable

Their kindness and generosity toward answering my questions and providing requested information is exceeded only by their genuine warmth and delightful personalities. We are in the midst of a pandemic and I am in the midwest and unable to visit the shop personally, so we used the FaceTime feature allowing them to show me what I was considering in real time. The antique French textile I purchased is literally breathtaking to me, one of the occasions where the thing purchased is more beautiful and extraordinary in person than the image glowing on ones computer screen!!!I can not recommend Lavender Oriental Carpets more highly and wish for them every success!!!!

Predatory and exploitative business practices towards artisans and weavers. They place orders, pick up only half of the finished goods and then pay nothing.They are in the business of making homes beautiful, but the way they conduct it is quite ugly.Edit :- The owners response is completely untrue. They settled only when our attorneys contacted them. We spent more than what we got on hiring lawyers from halfway across the world, but it was a matter of principle

Worst Experience Ever. I couldnt believe that how they ruined my rug. They picked up my antique persian rug for cleaning and told me that the rug will be delivered within 7 days. But after 10 days, they returned my rug ansd it was smelling very bad. They even did not clean my rug properly. When I asked them what they did with my rug, they said they cleaned. I asked for refun, but they hungup the phone. I will never choose them again.

This is the best place for Oriental rugs in NYC hands down.
