Jam packed with every ornament you could imagine. We would go back if we travel back to New York. Clerk/ owner was very nice and we were treated with courtesy. Very satisfied.

What a charming and magical store. I just bought an ornament for my mom from the Christmas Cottage for the 10th year in a row. It has become a tradition. The owners are so kind and helpful.

Found some really nice ornaments in this store along with nutcrackers and the classic Turtle Doves from Home Alone 2.The owner and staff were super friendly and helpful.After leaving the store I heard my name being yelled. I turn around to see the owner running full speed down 7th Ave. I had left my credit card at the store and he made sure I got it back. Top notch service. Will shop here again

We went at Xmas just to see New York at Xmas and loved it. We stayed in the Wellington Hotel that turned out to be next door to the Christmas Cottage. It is reputed to be the oldest Xmas shop in New York, it is certainly an Aladdins cave of decorations, we went in a few times. We went in a lot of Xmas shops whilst in New York and this was certainly one of the best. Maybe a little pricey, but in our view had the best selection for quite a small shop. In the end we bought a few decorations that now adorn our tree in the UK. I would certainly recommend you have a peruse if youre on the hunt for Christmas decorations, but still worth a look if youre passing.

My daughter and Son in law visited your lovely shop while on Hoilday and brought me back your wonderful Elvis ornament as I am a great fan. We are from England and I have ordered on line two other Elvis ornaments since then. The service, tracking and delivery as been first class and I would recommend anybody looking for something special for Christmas to look at the website and have it delivered. Thank you lovely shop.

Store has some very nice Christmas ornaments, tree toppers, stockings, snow globes, and other Christmas themed items, but the store is very expensive. Some ornaments are over $15 each, but I guess thats to be expected in the city. Overall the store has some very nice products and is beautifully decorated

Its Christmas time in the city! Amazing decorated trees and atmosphere filled with lots of gift ideas. Got some snowmen for place settings for everyone to take home. Love topping my packages with an ornament instead of bow gives that personal touch. One of my favorite traditions every year is treating myself to a new ornament to add to my collection...but hard to pick just one!

Every time I go to the city and pass by this store I always have to go in and take a look. The atmosphere is beautiful and no matter what time of year it always puts me in the Christmas spirit. The employees are all friendly and helpful and will go above and beyond to make sure the customers have the greatest experience and will continue coming back for years to come!

This store has a great selection of ornaments, lights, stockings, pretty much anything Christmas! If youre visiting NYC this is a must see, especially during the holiday season. The store has a wonderfully kind staff and the overall atmosphere is so cheerful! Love this place!

After recently visiting The Christmas Cottage I could not resist writing a review. This little shop is a gem in the heart of New York City, selling everything from old world santas to New York items. The store is decorated beautifully with many ornaments of your choice, mine particularly the best teacher. I will be back soon!

When visiting new york we really wanted to go to a Christmas store to get decorations we could bring home with us and keep forever. We made sure we had time scheduled to visit the Christmas shop within their opening hours. When we visited the shop at 7pm it was closed, leaving my mother completely devastated as we had read the good reviews. Really disappointing as it was our last night in New York.

How incredibly cute to have a Christmas shop open in September!! Was an absolutely delight to find this place, on one of those nostalgic rainy nights no less.The atmosphere is decent, small and cozy with a nice green rug. But the ornaments (which comprise the vast majority of the store) have quite a few tacky ones among them. Lots of stupid characters and trite quotes. I dont remember many Olde World Christmas decorations like silver bells, crystal trees, or red and green globes. Just a bunch of cheap, tacky, made-in-China throwaways.

I went to the store in the hope of finding some Asian, Black and Latino angels and Santas to decorate our familys tree and home. This is NYC after all, so I was feeling fairly optimistic that the store would mirror the diversity of the city and my family. Unfortunately, going by the contents of this store, only white people celebrate Christmas. All angels, all Santas (except one), and almost all other ornaments with people featured white people. The only exceptions were three ballerina ornaments with Black girls (compared to probably 30 featuring white girls and no Asian girls - and no boys for that matter), one brown skinned racially ambiguous Santa, and gay wedding ornaments featuring two men in any Black/white combination. I submitted my request for more of a diverse selection to the two employees working there, but they were extremely uncomfortable with my request, and it was clear that they were not going to pass it on to the boss. Sadly I left empty handed. Please think about the people you serve in NYC - locals and tourists - and reflect the big beautiful diversity here!

Christmas store open year-round in Midtown, between Times Square and Central Park.It is very small, but it is covered in ornaments down to the last corner. Although there are bigger Christmas stores in the city, in this they have practically everything. Prices are similar to most stores of this type, quite expensive, but it is good to buy some souvenir accessories.
