Needed a quick repair and they were the closest. They said come back in 30 minutes. When I did they said they couldnt repair it. Woman had an attitude when I asked her why they told me to come back if they werent sure they could fix it. They did put a temp screw at no charge
Nasty customer serviceaggressive, impolite, and they treat people like if you own them something.I went there for one question and one guy who works there was so brutal with no customer service skills. I guess he hates his job.
Jason and the team have made this store SUPER clean and safe for Covid-19. We were greeted with hand sanitizer, if we tried on glasses we put them on the shelf for cleaning, and all the while only our party was allowed in the store. We felt totally comfortable and safe even in the middle of the pandemic. Would highly recommend visiting the store even if you’re on the fence, it’s a great spot!!! Thank you Jason!!
Tameika was extremely helpful when it came to selecting glasses for my little face. Half the time, I feel compelled to shop in the kiddie section of most eye glass stores, but my 1st visit to Sees was a success. Tameika has a great sense of style (where as I do not) so she was honest when it came to picking the right amount of cool and hip for me. Thanks, Tameika. I look forward to building my eye glass frames wardrobe with your partnership.
I have been going to see for few years now. The glasses are very stylish and unique. On my last pair of glasses I had a manufacturer’s defect which I found after I had them for few weeks. I went back to the store and was given great service by Jason. He even accommodated me when I decided to change my type of lenses. The staff is great but he is really helpful and does his best to help the customer.
My wife and I have been customers since 2012. Weve always been extremely satisfied with the glasses and contacts weve received. The eye exams have been thorough and always resulted in accurate prescriptions. Their selection of frames is wide and weve never had a problem finding something that looked and felt great. Being regular customers, weve mainly dealt with Jason (the manager), who has always offered a level of customer service that Ive never experienced in any other eyewear store. Jason knows our preferences and always recommends the perfect frame. He also seems to know our insurance policy better than we do and always finds ways to maximize our benefits. In short, weve always felt like we were in good hands with Jason and his team. They care about our satisfaction and take care of us. There are many eyewear stores in that area but we never even think about going anywhere but See. Highly recommended.
You must be blind! I had the most wonderful experience as soon asI walked through the door. The sales people couldnt have been more helpful. They seemed instinctively to know my tastes, while encouraging me to try frames I never would have thought of. I ended up buying two pair. I feel like a whole new personality, and I love it.
Have had multiple fantastic experiences at See. Jason is amazing - he has excellent taste in frames, recommending great style choices and ensuring I was happy. I highly recommend him and the shop.
Depends on who waits on you. In 2015 I had two wonderful pairs of Rx glasses made. I like progressive lenses and have worn them for 10 years. But the last time I bought new glasses at SEE, I was working with an obviously new person. The glasses arent right. With progressives, its crucial to get the FIT accurate BEFORE marking them. Otherwise, you end up with (e.g.) distance correction in one eye and medium correction in the other. Thats what happened. When I picked up my newly-made glasses and put them on, I could see fine. But they werent sitting straight on my face. The more the person aligned them for my face, the worse my vision became. Big waste of time and money.
Got two pairs of glasses at this location and customer service is really bad. They made me feel like it was a big inconvenience and that theyre doing you a favor because I needed tightening up a loose screw. But of course theyll be really nice to you right before you spend hundreds of dollars making a purchase.
Staff is very friendly, frequently get compliments on my glasses and have recommended SEE for years. However, everything is fine, until it isnt. When theres a problem, their customer service is perhaps the worst Ive ever experienced. The customer service person at their corporate office, Andrew, virtually disappeared and didnt respond to emails or voice mail. Finally sorted out a mess that began in January and dont anticipate returning.
Admittedly, I never heard of this company until I was shopping at the Warby Parker next door. I left dissatisfied, feeling like all the frames at WP were clunky, mass produced, and too trendy. I’ve had my new glasses from SEE for a couple months now and I can honestly say that strangers on the subway and the street have stopped me 5 times to compliment my frames and ask where they’re from! They feel and look handcrafted and unique — and they actually are! Great service and beautiful products. I’m going back soon for prescription sunglasses!
The customer service sucks! As soon as you walk through the door rudeness emanates from the staff but I don’t go for them I go because I like Dr. Fertig. He is very thorough in his exam and he’s worth putting up with the rude staff. He takes his time to explain what’s going on with my eyes, the tests, how my prescription has changed over the years, etc. He’s very informative and I left with all my questions answered. As for the selection of glasses - they look like the same ones from Warby and major online retailers but has “SEE” plastered on the side. Get your script and buy online!
The service is terrible. I made a return to have lenses corrected and they came back the same thick way. I had given my own eyeglass case with the frames and that was not return instead they offered me one of the clunky. And I had asked Jason if it would be returned before I left the case.I see their rating is only 3.5 stars which is almost the minimum for eyewear stores. Would never stap into that store again.
I recently had my new prescription filled there in my old frames. The lenses are progressive and tint when the suns is out. They did an excellent job. I forgot the name of the woman who took care of me. But she was very thorough. And it was done for way way less than the exorbitant fees my old eyestore was going to charge me.
I almost didnt go to SEE because of the reviews. I have many options here on the Upper West Side but SEE is closest to my apartment and they are in-network for my insurance so I decided to give them a try. So happy I did, they are excellent in every way! Tameika is the stylist. She is nothing short of amazing! Her background is in fashion and it shows! She knows her inventory and knows what will work given my style, personality and facial features. I tried on many great contenders within the first 20 minutes. This is impressive as in the past I have walked out of frame shops with zero options. At one point the optometrist (Dr. Fertig), who is very thorough and caring, was in between patients and came out to provide me and the other client with his input regarding our possible selections. He was surprisingly very good! He and Tameika were a great team and the other client and I both found glasses and sunglasses! I am a very happy customer of this shop and will definitely be back when I need new frames. I highly recommend this shop and suggest you go in the morning as I did. They are fantastic!
Love this place! While in NYC on travels, I realized I forgot to pack my dailies. I sent a frantic email at 3am to SEE as Im a customer of one in Minneapolis. Jason from this location called me first thing the next morning to set up an appointment with Dr. Nargis Barkzai for the same day! Jason, Tameika and Dr. Nargis Barkzai were all brilliant! Not only did they save me, but they were super nice, knowledgeable, speedy and fun! Thank you all!
Always fantastic!! Love all the glasses Ive bought. Get a million compliments as well.
Love the eyewear. Staff is top-notch, ESPECIALLY Miss AMBROSIA. She DA BOMB!!!WHAT?!?
I had my eyes tested by the optometrist. The prescription he have me leaves me with my eyes still straining. The print I view is small and slightly blurry. I am very disappointed in their work. The eyeglass place I went to to fulfill the prescription did not make the mistake either. I would not return here to get my eyes retested since doctors have never made mistakes before elsewhere.
Do NOT buy anything from this store. It is the worst store and customer service of all the see store in the country. Don’t talk to the manager Jason he doesn’t have a clue what to do and he’s either on vacation or hes sick, off or he will tell you he’s too busy and will call you back and that never happens. They have been through 3 managers in 2 years that should be the first red flag. I have bought 18 pairs of glasses through there stores in Miami, Michigan, Charleston SC and NYC is the only store that can’t get there act together and it’s a hot mess in nyc quality and service in this store is not like there others. So much so that it took them two months to finally send our defective glasses back (that the nose pieces I paid extra for keeps falling off) when they sent me the return label they put the Charleston store address on the return label because they didn’t know how to do it. They said we would get them back by Christmas it’s Dec 26th and now the Charleston store has to send them out to California to be fixed with a 3 week trim around on something that was installed wrong in nyc.The Charleston store is helping us out and taking care of there problem. DO NOT DO business with the NYC store or and sales person in that store.oh PS they have also gone through tons of eye doctors there too.
There is no doubt about it - they have some of the most stylish and affordable frames around.
Went in for info. It was dead and the workers were huddled talking. I felt like I was bothering them with my questions. The woman acted like I was interrupting her conversation and she kept replying with short answers like she didn’t want to help me. I get it, she was talking to her friends but she’s at work. Maybe the company should fire everyone and get self servicing machines since helping a customer is such an inconvenience.
I got reading glasses there as a gift from a friend for my birthday. They were really nice and expensive, I accidentally set on them and broke them (this happens to the best of us)... I try to call them and asked them about their warranty policy for reading glasses, explain my situation to the person who answered and I was actually treated like an idiot. I couldnt believe it... I guess if you brake your reading glasses to them is no big deal but to my friend who actually payed $80 for them and gave them to me as a gift, I felt bad for. Yeah they are a bit pricy. Of course they will be if their location is the Upper Westside (rent is high there). I didnt appreciate the way she handle my call and for that reason only I am leaving this review. I wish they were a little nicer on the phone, I will understand if they dont have warranty on reading glasses but it was a purchase made to help their business by one of their regular costumers they should have been a little nicer about it. Perhaps the girl who answered she was new and was nervous, who knows, but theres no excuse to be unpleasant on the phone to costumers.
Called to set appointment, let them know I was coming on lunch break, that I had 30minutes. They said no problem. I get there and they tell me they are running 30minutes behind. I traveled all the way there to find out.
Not customer friendly
Great glasses store and not expensive. All pairs of glasses cost $ 100
