Great store and the staff knows what they are talking about. Just went to them with my basic info and skills and they pointed me to the right tools I needed. Even gave me pointers on how to use my drill. Good tip if your a novice know what type of wall your dealing with before you ask someone for tools :)

Excellent Hardware Store! I have been to this one multiple times, both for easy grab and go purchases as well as the more complicated, Advice/Guidance Seeking purchases. Everyone is easy to work with and happy to help. My last two visits I ran into Jim who did an incredible job of asking me the right questions in order to figure out exactly what I needed. I go there to the Brothers hardware store asking them for recommendation suggestions... They give me amazing tips without the sell first attitude... I went to Brothers because it had some good reviews. I was not disappointed. I was helped quickly and courteously and everyone was remarkably friendly. When I got to the register, the guy who helped me ran back realizing that there was a cheaper alternative to what he had given me. I recommend this place without reservation. I will be a returning customer.

I’m used to going to big box stores and the knowledge and friendliness of this small hardware store staff is refreshing. Very helpful with my questions about repairing wood flooring.

Very well stocked, and for the most part the people who work there are friendly and courteous and most of all helpful. But try returning something that doesnt quite fit. The owner is maybe one of the most ignorant and rude people who work in retail. You have a returns policy, Brothers Hardware and if it pissed you off so much that I returned something, you should probably cancel that policy. And learn some manners.

Jimmy and Bobby are longtime friends of my dad (r.i.p) hell my dad always used to call him when he needed help on fixing something i trust these guys as well.

I came in asking for a random orbital sander to polish metal. Someone working there sold me a finishing sander, but insisted that it was orbital. He kept saying, yes it spins right here pointing to some component. I made the mistake of thinking he was knowledgeable, and bought it. Quickly found out it was exactly the opposite of what I wanted. All it does is vibrate and scratch up my metal more. I tried using it anyway so its covered in polishing compound, not sure if they will take the return. I always get poor advice from men in hardware stores, they really need to hire people who actually USE the tools they are selling.

Best Hardware store Ive been to in NYC.If your not sure what you need just ask and they will always help.Went in for a single nut for a speaker mount they found me the right size and gave me the one no charge.If you are near fifth ave and 38th Street they definitely should be your gp to hardware store.

Yup. Just yup. Its hardware; you get that or you dont.

Closes earlier than google says they should. Got there twenty minutes before closing and was turned away.

There is no company name on the recipe!I bought many things here spend like $50 and when I try to give the recipe for my boss he said.He dont know where this recipe come from so he havent pay my expenses.So disappointed never buy anything here again.
