Not a bad selection of older games and equipment. No more trading cards, Legos instead now. Worth checking out if your in the area

Game on is my favorite game store ever!! Ken and Will are extremely attentive to customers and were super super friendly and helpful. Long story short amazing friendly workers and great game selection especially if you like retro games.

Great little store. Has some great retro games and also sells movies/legos the kids would enjoy looking at. Good service as well. I recommend if you enjoy retro games to just stop by if you ever get the chance.

These folks are more than fair. Theyve helped me with game recommendations on multiple platforms from ahes 5 to 55 and I havent had a bad one. If you dont know what youre doing these folks do.

A five star does not fit this store. Its just to low.The employees have been great. They have spent the time to teach my boys and my self everything they can about magic the gathering. They have dug threw endless lists to help us find the cards we have searched for. They have given there input to help us build stronger and much more fun decks to play. while the stores inventory may be somewhat lacking at times, they always seem to have a sharp memory of what you were looking for the last time you were in.

Great store, fantastic selection of both retro and modern games and systems. Definitely will be returning. Ken was awesome and helpful.

3 day return policy, overpriced, under managed. Prices marked in games aren’t what you pay, and paid $25 for a remote that “they don’t know if they work or not”. Just wait and go to amazon for what you need. Discovered brand new items are as cheap or cheaper than their used un sanitized controllers or games

I love this place to bits although now that it’s aiming for more toys and movies it’s kinda a bummer that its slowest turning down that path

The game I ordered arrived quickly and in good shape no issues they do a great job with shipping. Opened it and put it in my Wii system I didnt see a scratch or any imperfections on the disk it plays really good its definitely a good place to get games

Im sad that they had to stop selling magic. Thats the primary reason I, and many others go.Edit: your response was super snotty.I would be happy to give 4 stars but Im not giving it 5 when the one thing I went there for, is not there anymore.The employees are great, thats why I gave it multiple stars. But the fact that they got rid of the one thing that drew many people in is unfortunate to say the least.

The only reason I went to Newberg was to check out the Gamestar. Due to the horrible impression left on me is all the reason never to come back.Retro/old games are going to be grossly overpriced always in a retail store which is fine. Theres tons of overhead. Whats not okay is having a sticker priced and getting told the sticker price is wrong and being charged more than what is labeled.Id recommend to never go here. Order it off ebay for cheaper and for convenience.Edit:Laurie H, 3:20 PMAdditionally, the item was marked 12.99 in one of the GBA bins and was discovered to be more on the computer at time of checkout.

Great service. They have fostered an awesome community through MTG and the game nights are a blast. The selection of used video games and DVDs is huge. Plus they have a solid selection of card and board games.

Great place to buy and sell old games. They have a verity of sealed Magic product but not much in the way of sealed. I whent for Friday night magic with my little brother and had a great time. The man at the register was vary helpful.

Pros:- Large selection of games and consoles of all eras.- Large selection of MTG cards, and a few other TCGs.- Will allow trade in for old consoles and games and offer more than GameStop for example. Still you wont get much.- Great knowledgeable staff.Cons:- Most games are overpriced.- Trade in value and are low.- Most of their stock is multiples and often games nobody wants to buy.- Rarely get new stock.

This store has a decent selection of retro games and current. What really makes this place for me is the Magic the Gathering card selection. They carry lots of singles, packs from whatever sets they can get their hands on, playmats, sleeves, plastic card boxes and more. They recently with the change of ownership started carrying legos as well.

This place is a hidden jem. Stop over and see whats new. Even if your not a gamer they treat you as if you are one. And explain all questions you have. Great job guys and gals.

Came here to play in a booster draft, the service was awesome! The group was very encouraging and positive. Alomg with the lady at the desk being veey helpful! Come here for all of your magic and video gaming needs!

Went into the McMinnville store, bought a console, it didnt work, went back got more parts, still didnt work. Wanted to just get my money back and they said nope! Once you give them your money your stuck buying their crappy stuff.

Favorite magic and video game store I have ever shopped at; incredibly knowledgable as well as helpful. Staff is top notch. I have been to a few of the other GameStars and was surprised that they did not have the same level of excellence as the Newberg store. Worth the drive no matter where you are coming from.

Game On is awesome and a million times better then Game Stop. The prices are great and the employees are super kind. 10/10 place.

Good games and friendly staff(fun to play magic to)

The place smelled terrible, ridiculously high prices for games you can get elsewhere for less than 5 dollars. When I picked a game out and they were looking for the disc the girl handled all the games horribly before just dropping them back into the drawer. They couldnt find the disc for mine because they neglected to look at the case when they purchased it with the wrong disc. Wasted stop.

High prices on games ($20 for $5 all day game on ebay), high prices to buy MTG outside the pack (10 commons for $1), and really strong smell (like something from a retirement home). They are however nice-ish, and have slightly lower cost on new packs than places like Fred Meyer.

A few decent deals but most things were over priced. You can tell their stock near the front doesnt rotate too often because all the labels near the windows were sun faded.

Sold out and new owners wont or dont honor past in store credit. I have been going to the local Game On for around ten years. And to find that out today was very upsetting!But at least they have Legos now.........really?!I imagine the new owners are from California....

Only a one-time visitor, but the store was your basic console retail business.I am impressed with the stores stock of vintage games and gaming accessories (NES/etc), but its nothing you cant find at any Game Star or other game cookie-cutter clone-chain.I was disappointed with the locations apparent lack of Magic: The Gathering singles. One would think that with the HUGE window displays of M:TG artwork/branding that they would have more to offer than your basic booster packs and card sleeves.The stores customer service met your basic standards: greeted, asked if I needed assistance, wished a good day upon exit.I say its definitely worth a stop if consoles are your thing.

Prices too high, selection limited. Seems like its on a downward spiral. Hosting card games like Magic is the last step before closure

A very good place for video games. Formerly Game Star and now Game On (with new owner), this place now has video games, Lego and disc golf pucks (one of only places in town). The employees are very friendly all the time, and the money (or store credit) they give you for games is very good!
