Their buying ammo from bimart and re-selling at 400 percent mark up.. Seems pretty shady to me.

The owner was very nice to deal with and the item I bought was as described on the listing.

Let me say this first, the place looks oddly satisfying however the customer service was very poor from one person and the other guy was busy with a customer. I kinda wish I had a better Experience so I could have excuse to come back.

Been coming here for a little while now. Always helpful and friendly. Fair deals and amazing people. Always fun to go in and chat with the guys who are very knowledgeable. And if they dont know something they look it up right then and there. Had one or two small issues. But overall there is a reason I keep doing business with them. I always have a great experience with the Trading Post! The owner is very helpful, nice and respectful of me every time I have gone there. The read of the staff are great too, I dont have a lot of experience with pawn or buy/sell shops, but I am glad to have this shop as my first choice! He has helped me help my family. Very nice man!

HORRIBLE customer service!!! Went in today to check on some things, guy working the counter was rude, unhelpful, and had a horrible attitude. Even asking to speak to someone higher up, he still followed around with a snarky attitude and was majorly lacking customer service skills. Been a customer here for years, and I will not be back again due to this experience. Its one thing to get bad news at a business, its another to be disrespectful during the transaction. If your looking for good service, I would highly suggest going somewhere else. Its too bad too, the owner is a nice guy, but clearly has hired very bad staff.

So helpful in valuing my items and gave very fair price after showing me similar items selling on various sites. Fun to talk to and never pushy. Just genuine good guy. Knows his stuff

Been going in here for a few years now and have bought many tools. They got some pretty good deals on firearms and the staff have been really nice to me.

Terrible customer service the guy was swearing at my mother and I because he sold a garbage bicycle and wouldnt return it. Told my mom all it needed was a chain ....after purchasing at the trading Post the bike spent 2 weeks in bike shops and found out the bike actually needed a front and rear derailleur new shifters and a new front shock Tommys bike shop in Mcmcinnville said its not worth putting any money into this bike. Then we proceeded to try and work something out with the trading Post but they were absolutely rude and non cooperative... I will honestly never do business with them or refer any business their way... There is no reason to swear or threaten or insult customers who wanted to simply resolve a situation.

Great inventory and great customer service, I couldnt be happier. I asked for a few dollars off on a drill and they offered to drop the price even more. As long as I live in the area I will suggest this pawn shop to anyone looking to save some money or need a loan. Keep it up guys.

Be careful when putting a deposit down on anything. Get it in writing. Make sure of the terms. Even then, who knows. Lets just say I wont be doing business there anymore.

Discriminatory and no loyalty matters to them I took the same item from a month ago that I pawn and bought back on my fixed income and they wouldnt even give me close to the same amount the couldnt even identify the device correctly online... they should just move out of this town!

Great place great guys working there. Kept our items for a couple extra days tIll we got paid. And fair prices compared to a lot of pawn shops I have been to. And they treat their repeat pawners even better once you establish a relationship.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PAWN SHOP THEY WILL DO EVERYTHING IN THERE POWER TO RIP YOU OFF. We bought a blue ray player and was told it was checked that it worked get home to find out it doesnt work. To also find out that the employee that sold it to us didnt do paper work on the stuff. So not only were we treated badly we were ripped off then the owner was trying to get me to leave it there. Why so you can try and act like this never happen. Thanks but no thanks.

There is a young man working at the Trading Post by the name of Keeton, but says his name is Tyler, this person was extremely rude, unhelpful and also shows ZERO compassion for people going through a hard time. My daughter and I came in to pawn a ring in order to get enough money for gas to get to Portland to visit my older daughter who had just had brain surgery. Not only did he offer an insulting amount of money, but he then decided to toss my ring back at me and make the comment that I was quiet, because I did not know the routine with pawning jewelry... I am still fairly new to this experience. In NO way were we rude.. He then implied that I was illiterate for not understanding HIS lack of information given. I was NOT impressed by his behavior. Told me if I had been nicer he could have given me more money..? First of all, it is all too obvious you do not like your job.. Excuse me for coming in today.. I will take my business elsewhere. I did not appreciate YOUR surly attitude. Your customer service is atrocious. I suggest you learn how to read people and their situations better. So as not to come across as arrogant. As another employee had pointed out, who was actually helpful unlike you.. The Owner is out on vacation right now. That may be, but I doubt he will be pleased to read such an outstandingly negative review on account of you. I find it interesting that I can have such a positive experience with someone else, but with you it was so negative. Perhaps it isnt the customer...its you. For the owner of this establishment.. Get better employees for your shop! Business is sure to improve with the release of a few lazy employees.

I went in to pick up a bow today and the guy was just arrogant and rude. When the place first opened up i think i was in there the second day of being open and there was only one guy and he was awesome and we chatted about guns for awhile and I have recommended this pawn shop to many people and this 20 something kid messed up the whole image i had of the place. I wont be coming back and definitely wont recommend it to anyone.

Seriously hate the Trading Post in Newberg. Ive tried to take things in on 4 separate occasions and they have never even tried to be helpful. Its simply a oh thats hard to sell, or not worth anything without even looking at it. Things that I know are worth good money. Plus they are very vague, and EXTREMELY rude. My rating and recommendation? 0 stars, and if you value your time and sanity, never EVER go to that pawn shop.

Beware!!! The young men in this pawn shop are very rude and disrespectful.Have pawned items n cases, such as a laptop in a case or a gun in a case etc.They will try to keep your accessories or cases etc. they will state that the case or accessory was not listed on the paper work as if the customer has the power to write up what items they receive. Whatever wasn’t listed on the slip they steal. I have had this done 2 times. The owner won’t do nothing about it!Nice guys but when they are wrong they get very aggressive, especially when they short you money from change coming back from pickup and then stating they can’t print the receipt to show how much change is owed.Come on fellas we can do better than that! Customer service!

He is always straight to business and very fair. I appreciate that in a family Business, good prices and willing to help you out when you need cash and want to pawn somthing.

The staff is always talking amongst themselves and dont even greet people when they enter or approach the gun counter. We have to stand there staring at the wall for a minute or two before they stop their personal conversations and greet us. Not that great of a selection in my opinion and not good service.

I don’t know why I have bothered coming here multiple times. It’s always the same outcome, with me walking out frustrated. Over priced poor condition items. Lots of it is more expensive than if you were to go buy the same thing brand new. Blows my mind how they are still in business.

This place is a joke i purchased 2 games here and both of them were not even close to what they were supposed to be not even the same consol. Wouldnt be suprised if somebody breaks in and shows them what its like..

They buy very low (maybe 1/4 to 1/3 of value depending). They sell at or over retail. Get ready to hear We feel we have this priced very fairly like a broken record when stuff is clearly used (and you attempt to negotiate at all). They price everything at full ebay auction pricing. Surprise you guys arent an auction house and ebay has excellent returns. My guess is with how big internet commerce is places like this wont be around much longer. In many cases they would go $25 on a item that is $28 or $29 new.

Have used trading post in canby, and then I found out same guys were in Newberg I was very happy. They have always been there in my tough times with some friendly words and fair deal bussiness transactions. So of the many mixed reviews, some good some not. Though my experience has always been a plesent one, So this customer will keep telling my friends and family and will keep going back. Cheers and happy hunting.

Worst pawn shop I been too they are greedy and only give you an eighth of what the item is worth and the look on eBay for the cheapest the consumer is not eBay and they arent ordering it from the web its in there shop right in front of them and when you go in a few days later its triple what they gave you what a ripoff
