Very cute and eclectic space on the main street of Newburgh. My friends that moved to the area recommended this place to us for a breakfast spot to visit before we hit the road on our road trip and the food was really tasty. For my vegan and vegetarian friends, lots to choose from to order here. And as any good café would have, they have milk substitutions for folx whoa re lactose intolerant. My fiancé and I ordered two bagel sandwiches and they hit the spot before we left. We also had a pumpkin brickle latte and the maple mocha cold brew and they were tasty. The mocha is good for folx who like drinks not too sweet. And the pumpkin brickle was sweet, just the way I like it.If we had more time, we would have pitched our laptops and tablets and did an illustration session right then and there. Highly recommend.
This was the perfect place to stop on a rainy day while waiting for my husband to finish up at Montifiore St Lukes Hospital, only 3 minutes away. I had hot tea and got my husband a cookie. It was cozy warm, the table I chose had a plug right next to the chair and there was plenty of yumminess to choose from. There were 2 bathrooms, each single use. The bathroom I used was the closer one (green key) and was large and nicely designed. Both bathrooms require a key (green and red...is because it was closer or green (red light/green light) that I chose the one I did?) Luckily I didnt have to ask an employee for the green key, it was on a table right near the bathroom. The bathroom was clean but the soap and paper towel dispenser were not touchless. The garbage pail had a cover on it so it was a bit of a twister game to open the bathroom door, then open the garbage lid then throw away my paper towel, all while avoiding touching the handle. Oops, still had to handle the key. They had hand sanitizer by the key table so I was able to sanitize after all that was done. Both bathrooms had a sign on the outside door not to throw paper towels in the toilet. The paper towel dispenser reminded you yet again not to do this. Who does this? Why are you throwing your paper towels in the toilet?? There was also a sign on the inside of the door to remember to return the key. I did not throw my paper towels into the toilet, I did return the key and I would pee here again.Follow me for more reviews of where I have been and where I have gone. 🤭
Relaxed atmosphere, great food and staff. There is not enough time for me to talk about the coffee. Id rather just drink it. Capisce?
Cant wait to return for the Punky Chicken Salad with cucumber and bean sprouts with a large IGOM tea ☺️☺️☺️
Very cute coffee shop with some nice breakfast options. A great place to sit and relax or do work. Also really nice coffees and plenty of other drink options
Nice ambience. Quick and friendly service, but the coffee had a strong malty flavor that didn’t taste like coffee at all. The almond croissant was stiff and tasteless like cardboard. I was told the bagels were brought in from other locations. So I assume the pastries are as well.
Almond croissant was stale. Not even from yesterday. Coffee was great though and service is good too.
2 Alices is a local coffeehouse, with two locations, specializing in a variety of caffeinated beverages and mostly vegetarian light fare. We stopped by with a few friends and all hot and iced drink hit the mark. Their quiche was a fluffy, fresh muffin-shaped take with awesome flavor. The baked goods case was filled with cookies, pastries, bagels, and donuts from a local farm. WiFi available and a relaxed vibe with lounge seating make this a must-return for us.
Nice place to work. Extensive drink options. Good matcha options.
I really enjoyed the shoppe. Very spacious which made me feel great since I needed to sit down and do some work. The coffee was flavorful and the everything bagel was amazing! Will definitely come back when im in town!
Been living in the east coast for 5 months nowAnd I have to say this is the best coffee shop I have Ever tried !
This place always smells so good when I go in there - coffee and bagels - yummy cookies and real food if you want. PLUS theres always an ART EXHIBIT of amazing local artists on the walls - what could be better?
Nice pleasant atmosphere.
Fantastic coffee. Good workspace.
Great coffee, tasty cookies, really friendly service. The other patrons were welcoming as well, offering to drop a quarter while we got change for the better. They have outdoor as well as indoor dining, with quite a few tables outside. Very lovely spot with a great snack and bagel selection.
Best coffee in town!
Coffee and food are amazing! The staff is very nice and attentive.
Good place when certain employees arent as honestly welcoming as they are with the next customers that walk in. I pay money just like the next. That sound of Good Morning, how are you? Just doesnt ring the same in the unwelcomed gathering toward the counter & the shifty movements in the back while preparing my order as the extremely welcoming ring of a pleasing welcome as again I leave to the next customer. As a human I dont want to be judged, all I want is coffee, tea or a bagel, maybe even a muffin or cookie on the same terms.
Wonderful coffee, great snacks 😋
Cute vibe, lots of art on the walls, seems very covid safe.
Wonderful place, delicious coffee, trendy vibe >> 5 Stars!
Always nice coffee and good environment
Nice atmosphere and delicious coffee. The quiches were yummy, too.
Great coffee shop and they serve wine too.
Best coffee place I been too. Great customer care. Free WiFi. A friendly atmosphere. Most importantly great coffee and snacks at a great price. I give this place five stars.
On passing through this lovely town my husband popped into Alices for coffees to take away. The owner was so very kind as my husband didnt have change and they didnt take cards he insisted he gave them to us, and wouldnt accept him going to get change. . It was also one of the best coffees ever tasted. Thankyou for giving another lovely memory of a town i visited on holiday during my childhood to see my grandad. Such kindness to strangers in todays world is remarkable although it waa a small act it really touched our hearts thankyou. 🥰
2 Alices is my favorite coffee shop in Newburgh. The bagels are giant, soft, and great toasted with cream cheese, especially if youre able to get them early in the morning. They have a few pastries too that are really good. The drip coffee is so good that I dont mind drinking it without cream or sugar. Tons of latte flavor options, with a seasonal drink menu full of fun flavor combos. House-made chai latte is great. Theres a selection of loose-leaf teas, too. Theres a small outdoor seating section in the warmer months, with plenty of indoor seating. Local art on the walls that changes every month or so. Staff is always wonderful. Ill always make sure to stop by 2A whenever Im visiting home. Love you guys!!
Its a quiet open space. People come here to work and seem to be very comfortable hanging out with their laptops open. Only drawback is the music. A switch of the streaming dial would make this place perfect.
Who would have thought this place exists in this area of the City of Newburgh? Amazing coffee. Amazing decor. If youre in the area dont be afraid of the area .. Do yourself a favor and give it a shot!
I am addicted to 2 Alices. They have a great selection of bagels, pastries, coffees and teas. Fun and trendy, the staff is young and full of life. Very engaging and helpful. They offer soup, quiche and a few simple sandwiches. Love going there!!
Good coffee, super friendly staff, good COVID practices
Price are a little high but items are good. The owner is sarcastic and that turns off older people. Use to be my favorite place but havent been there in years. Owner needs to go to charm school.
Know what you are looking for and they will make it. Pretty cool coffee place with great espresso drinks. The place has a funky vibe and the service was welcoming. Will be back next time Im in town.
Typical high end coffee shop. The coffee was good, I think the coffee had cinnamon in it... not a fan, the food looked great, thats not why I was there.
Delicious coffee, espresso drinks, and teas. The quiche muffins are yummy and always fresh! The bagels are my favorite- the rockstar in particular is quite filling as it is tasty. A great place to do homework, work & have meetings!
Came for a punk rock show. Had a good time nice selection of coffee and tea and even their small beer menu was impressive. Parking is abundant on Broadway local art hangs on the wall plenty of seats will be coming back for sure
Love the people, the food, the vibe. Great service and atmosphere. Definitely our. New favorite spot, especially on weekend mornings!
Love this place, green tea smoothie is my favorite.Nice place to catch up with friends
A comfortable place to spend time, eat the best quiche accompanied with creative toasts and perfect coffee. Why would you go to Starbucks?
Great coffee but if your on a diet watch out for the pastries. So good you put on a lb just looking at them. Yummy
Great coffeeshop. Vegan options available. Beautiful photographs and artwork by local artists create an intimate, comfortable setting.
Busy around 2, but wonderful barista! Nice seating area, large and comfortable ! Would recommend
Excellent coffee and excellent food. I recommend you try the hard boiled bagel sandwich. It was surprisingly good.
Enjoyed time with my staff here. Cappacino-Yes! Ambiance-Yes!
Great atmosphere, wonderful coffee & delicious cookies. They also have outdoor seating for sipping in the sunshine. Worth a visit!
Great, great great coffee shop! Staff is always wonderful and pleasant! I prefer the Broadway location over the Cornwall location. Mikey the owner is a great guy who wears No FX tee shirts! Viva La Revolution!
Nice coffee and bagel here. Great selection of different drinks
Soup of the day (Cream of Spinach)Highly recommend!!! Looking for a place to study, relax, and enjoy a quick bite. Come to 2Alices located in Newburgh & Cornwall.
Just driving through town looking for a good cup of iced coffee. Definitely the nicest coffee lounge in the area. Great iced coffee too.
Local cafe with a huge indoor space. Opens early and stays open well into the evening. The bagels are especially good.
I only been there once, but it wae very good .
Much quieter than the other location, I could do work in peace, and very much enjoyed the atmosphere.
Semi-healthy bagel with everything bun was sooo delicious!
The establishment is loud the food is not worth the price. Also, while trying to enjoy my tea a female employee decided she wanted to lock away the stereo equipment door which had been open before coming to sit over in this area. She persisted to attempt to lock this cabinet and the lock was clearly broken. Obviously she felt that now a non white person was sitting in the area it needed to be locked. Then when she realized she could lock it a male employee came to lock the cabinet and is currently having no success either. I won’t be recommending this establishment to anyone.
Adorable setting! Like a NYC style coffee house. Great coffee and prices. Worth checking out!
Super cute place to go study and get some work done!
Best coffee in Newburgh!
Very inexpensive but feels like a high end luxury cafe!!! Great friendly employees who when talking to them is like they are the owner. I mean they don’t have the slightest hint of “I hate my job”, and they have an ear for chit chat.
I really liked this place, surprisingly large and comfortable place, very modern and very good paistries as well. No complaints on the service at all. I was honestly not expecting it to be so nice inside, but it is, they do a great job here.
Probably the closest piece of Brooklyn in Newburgh. Coffee is good and the place has a nice vibe.
Yummy treats delicious drinks! The berries and cream iced matcha was amazing.
Prompt, amiable service paired with an inviting atmosphere makes this café easy to visit, again and again. Oh, and the red eye was spot on.
Nice cozy environment, but hand made beverages are sub-par. The pre-made teas are fine, but the espresso beverages have always disappointed me. Staff is hit or miss- sometimes nice, sometimes they dont seem to care and are dismissive. Can also buy baked goods here, which are so-so. They post local events and interesting things on a cork board, which is always nice to see. Art on the walls is locally made, can be bought, and changed often. I love the local support here. Also serves as a venue for local events and meetings
I love downtown Newburgh and 2 Alices is one of my favorite spots. I am always happy with my coffee, Muffins or tea. The Excellent, friendly service keeps me coming back!
Great coffee. I had the potato leek soup of the day and that too was excellent. Friendly and accommodating staff.
This place is the only coffee shop in the area aside from Bank Square across the river, which is fine by me since Id still go here anyway if there were. Both locations are fantastic.
Bad service, burnt americano, and when you bring in a travel mug, what Barista anywhere only fills it halfway up and charges for a grande? 2 Alice baristas, thats who.Visit the coffee shop three spaces over and be less disappointed.
Perfect spot to get some work done, have a good cup of coffee/tea and meet with friends. Friendly staff and atmosphere.
Great coffee!
Always enjoy the pastries and the coffee. The owners and staff are fun and they make you feel welcome to just hang out, chill, and have your coffee.
The neighborhood looked a little rough but the coffee place was nice and the coffee was tasty.
Awesome spot. Great coffee
Beryy canftrebel to sit and. Home like atmosphere and they have exelent costumer service
Excellent coffee! Super friendly service :)
The coffee and food here is a joke. The customer service here is terrible. They just stand around and dont know how to communicate to the customer. They just see you as a dollar sign and thats it. The place looks welcoming but is complete devoid of heart.
The best place to sit and relax. The barista with the yellow hair is very cute. I think we might actually have something brewing.
Delicious drinks and eats (highly recommend the mac and cheese with salsa). Great place to set up shop and get some work done or swing by for a quick coffee.
A great local coffee shop that my husband and I drive 30 minutes to get to! Drinks taste wonderful, staff is always friendly, and theres a little basket of toys for kids which helps us enjoy our coffee a little more :)Or last visit we tried the Turmeric Chai Tea, it was exceptional!
Incredible food and drinks! Will definitely return
I love their peppermint tea!Their bagels were very fresh when I was there! So delicious!!!
Great coffee and pastries, industrial open dinning room with huge communal tables and lots of light. Great everyday
Love the quiche muffin.
Im not a coffee drink, wasnt much to order while I was there for a business meeting. Overall feeling is a nice space with a warm brick and light wood surroundings & they have a large conference table.
Great sandwiches and relaxing place to hang out
Pretty neat. Good tea and vegan options. Nice atmosphere too... 😋
Good selection; things change up often and stay fresh. I always order some form of green tea and try whatever interesting new menu items they have written on the walls.
Spacious cafe with great coffee and healthy food. Enjoy an open, quiet atmoshpere. Great place to take a break from work, have a meeting, or simply have coffee and read.
Nice environment, nice people good costumer service
An hip and tranquil oasis in the hustle bustle of downtown Newburgh. I will definitely be back.
Good vibe and music. Delicious food. Go here :)
SOOOOO COZY! Great drinks made with love for the craft and attention to detail.
