Really great place. I had a scoop of Tennessee Whiskey and French Lavender and both were fantastic. Im still thinking about the French Lavender the next day. My wife had lemon and strawberry and said they were good too. We really liked the fire table inside. Well definitely be back.

Fun experience! Good place to take a friend to celebrate a birthday. I don’t really drink beer so there was also a wine and non alcoholic option. I thought the ice creams were okay. The sorbets were better. Wines were pretty good and a generous pour. You’re getting probably two glasses of wine, maybe 3 with the flight. Worth returning. I’ve heard in the winter they have hot chocolate flight which may be too much sugar but hey 🤷🏼‍♀️ make the drive!!

Absolutely loved visiting The Frosty Barrel! Worth the drive, 💯. The icecream is phenomenal by itself but paired with wine and beer was incredible. We were all very happy with our visit! Cant wait to come back once its a bit colder out for their hot chocolate pairings as those look amazing! The people who work there are so friendly and the experience is so fun. We will definitely be back!

Stumbled on this place with a unique menu. Did an ice cream flight and friend did a hot cocoa and ice cream pairing flight. Very unique experience. They also has beer, wine and a bit of food.

An incredible selection of ice cream as well as beer and wine. The real highlights are the beer/ice cream and wine/ice cream pairings. Perfectly done with awesome flavors that complement both the drinks and ice cream. What a treat!

Great spot for summer!Got myself a mixed wine flight with ice cream pair. Only sad part is they didnt make the description card for this. My favorite is the Blackberry Cabernet, second from left, not too sweet and a really good aromatic scent. Its almost like eating a flower, I swear this is only time my wife doesnt hate my breath after drinking alcohol, jk.Friendly staff. 5/5Roomy and clean interior. 5/5Food price, proportion, quality rating 6/5 extra point for great idea.

I love this place they always have interesting flavors, nice staff and a very nice atmosphere indoors and out. Some suggestions I have for them is: add waffle cups like salt and straw does. Another suggestion I had was for them to add Açaí bowls to their menu its something that is missing in this area and would be great to expand your hours to the morning and during winter months. Maybe do a collaboration with Healthy Bonez Beverage Company?Regardless thank you for the great ice cream!

So good. Sooo good, and what a great idea!! I LOVE this place and can’t wait to go back. Quality is 1000%. The only thing I’d like to recommend to the owners is to have more comfortable outdoor seating! 😂 ice cream, drinks and gluten free cookie YUM. I could eat here every day!

This is genius! Two of my favorite things paired together?! Yes please! They have a mocktail flight, a beer flight, and a wine flight. Very generous servings. You can also just get ice cream/drinks by itself. I was able to get pupsicles for my doggo, too! There is indoor and outdoor seating and the staff are real friendly! Can’t wait to return!

Worth the trip! Such a variety! They had meat and cheese boards, paninis, flights of ice cream & alcoholic beverages! We got a non-alcoholic flight, lemonade float, and a meat/cheese board. Are the board right away, but got a photo of the flight. Really fantastic and super nice people❤️👍 Really recommend!!

Great place with great prices! Got an amazing hot chocolate flight with ice cream for sub 20 dollars including tip! The owner was great and included an extra scoop of ice cream while we waited. Truly a great experience and we will be back!

This place is an amazing find. Came for some great local ice cream and found an awesome flight pairing with wine or beer. I was amazed at how well the two complimented each other. Definitely a repeat visit!

Yum, this is an awesome ice cream place and they just don’t have ice cream! They pair ice cream with wine or beer and they have cookies too! Great friendly service and had a great recommendation of the white chocolate raspberry, which was incredible!

Super creative idea for an ice cream shop with beer/wine flights. We only ordered ice cream and it definitely taste homemade - recommend a waffle cone with cookies n’ cream. The Salted caramel flavor wasn’t good - tastes like store bought caramel and too sweet. S’mores didn’t really taste like s’mores. I would give it another try if I was in the area again. FYI, They aren’t allowing samples with Covid-19. Staff was kind and courteous. Shop is small but has plenty of four top tables and outdoor seating. Parking is limited with other restaurants sharing same lot. Parked on road in neighborhood and walked a short distance to location.

This place is SLEPT ON. Great customer service, ice cream, cookies, wine, beer, and so much more. This place is perfect for adults and kids. Cant decide on a single hot chocolate flavor? No worries, they have hot chocolate flights with ice cream suggestions that pair with them. Or you can get amaretto sorbet with prosecco (pictured below).

This place is amazing! My favorite is the French Lavender and the Cotton Candy. I also got the beer and ice cream flight. The pairing was different and delicious. Frosty Barrel is one of our familys new favorite places.

Liked the beer and ice cream pairings. Ive personally always liked some ice cream with my beer, so to see it on the menu was a fun treat. A flight of 4 beers, paired with 4 scoops, was around $15. Good flavors of both. My favorite of the bunch was the coconut ice cream, paired with the coconut porter. Delicious combo!

This place is wild. Its an ice cream/beer+wine place that pairs their ice creams with wines or beers. You can get the usual cones and sundaes and whatnot OR you can get flight of their stuff paired with alcohol. This is crazy but in a good way like your ex that would make out with you behind the stairs in her grandmas basement, not crazy like a methhead. Its good crazy not chew your face off crazy.

The only reason why you shouldnt visit Frosty Barrel is if you hate delicious ice cream with a passion. They have an amazing selection of rotating ice cream flavors including both dairy and non-dairy options so there is something for everyone in the family! I am usually not a fan of non-dairy ice cream but Frosty Barrel does an incredible job still maintaining the creamy essence and burst of flavor. If you ever stop by, I recommend the mango ice cream or the white chocolate raspberry! Both delicious options thatll have you fighting to put the spoon down.

What a cute ice-cream shop! They have beer on tap, ice-cream, and wine! Oh and dog treats. Basically something for everyone. Their whisky ice-cream was so good, and their waffle cone was fresh. The whole place smells so good. I wish I had not eaten lunch and instead came here to try the flight of ice-creams! A good reason to come back here again. I would recommend that they sell some dog gelato too, thatd be awesome!

This was a fun spot to grab a drink and ice cream with some friends. we each got the ice cream pairings - some wine - some beer and really enjoyed our time here. the service was friendly and the atmosphere was cute and comfortable. would recommend coming here for a treat!

We got the beer and the wine flight with ice cream and oh lord is this place dangerous! The pairings they have are amazing! The drinks complement the ice cream so well. Each of the ice creams I had were light, refreshing, and delicious! Another bonus is all of their ice cream is nut free which is great for someone like me who has an allergy! I will 100% be coming back!

(Editing my review to correct some misinformation) Fantastic ice cream. Apple pie tasted amazing with chunks of crust and some pie inside. My only complaint is that sprinkles cost 50 cents for a spoonful, which is a tad expensive. Still very much worth it though.

We got single ice cream cones and the ice cream was alright but the scoops were quite small. For the price, I would recommend other places over this one.

Really chic inside, cute little seating patio outside. Ice cream is super creamy and very tasty. Lots of non ice cream options, too, like cheese and meat boards. Only downside is they have some unique flavors but they arent currently letting you sample so Im kind of stuck playing it safe for now. There has to be a COVID friendly way to do samples though, hope they figure one out. Still all around delicious though.

Way over priced only store brand level ice cream do yourself a favor drive .25 miles further to Safeway buy a pint of quality ice cream

Frosted Barrel is a great addition to Newcastle. This sweet family owned business is making their own variety of small batch creamy ice cream. We tried the fresh strawberry (SO good), toasted coconut and their espresso chocolate. We loved them all and will be back again and again for sure.

Tbh this should have been 4 star review but its important to give new businesses some slack. Ice Cream was good but it took quite long, plus you cant even see the menu until you get to the front. You can tell that there are new to the business but they are good still

Amazing ice cream including dairy free and gluten free options!

Ice Cream was definitely tasty but they ran out of certain flavors so we settled on what was available. Additionally, they were running a training mid-afternoon on a Sunday which limited access indoors. A bit perplexing to run training during business hours on a day when most families are out and about. Anyhow, will be returning in hopes that more flavors are available.

Support this local business!!! So glad Newcastle has an Ice Cream shop now. They have a lot of fun options and not just ice cream. Super clean and nice interior.

I took my daughters to Frosty Barrel for a treat today and was blown away by this unique ice cream shop. First and foremost, the ice cream is delicious - our family ordered Mango, Mukilteo Mudd Chocolate, and Cookies and Cream. Second of all, they have cookies - fresh, delicious cookies of several varieties that go perfectly with the ice cream. They also offer alcohol pairings with their ice cream and I saw plenty of couples stopping by for date night. The ambiance was beautiful and staff were warm and courteous. We had such a lovely experience that I had to share!

Stopped by today for the first time and it will not be our last, amazing! I learned the scooped flavors are often different than the pint containers so ask for the full menu. We got a pint of Smores and a pint of whiskey maple. Both of them are absolutely fantastic, but very different. This is not the everyday scoop of ice cream, but a top shelf treat!
