Went to a few bike shops before this because I thought this shop could only help with a problem if you had a trek bike - turns out they have parts for any bike and the staff were the most friendly and helpful of any of the spots I went to

Would not recommend. Waited months for a bike that was supposed to be available in a few weeks. After I had the bike for a month they refused to fix a flat tire in less than a week. Temperature check at the door with these covid alarmists also. If you have plenty of money and time to spare Id definitely recommend buying from these women. If youd like good service and promises met on time, go elsewhere.

Customer satisfaction seems to be a top priority, and all the staff have been very helpful and Jason was nice enough to come pick up and deliver my bike back to me for some servicing when I had no way to transport it back and forth at this time. Also I wanted to edit my review because I forgot to mention Emily who was Essential in me deciding to purchase my mountain bike from Trek. She is quite experienced and extremely helpful in finding a bike that was the right fit for me. And it was my experience with her that definitely made my decision to decide to go with a Trek bike and your store in Newington.

A very friendly and knowledgeable crew. Although there are a lot of parts shortages (chains, etc.) during Covid, they were still very helpful in teaching me how to keep my bike maintained. PS: I used to have a Trek, but I now have a Canyon, and they didn’t blink when I asked them to service it.

I especially appreciated how informative the staff was and that they took the time to better inform me about my bike. I received a hand-me-down Trek bike that needed some care. Jordan thoroughly assessed my bike and explained what it needed and showed me why it needed it. I went with the level 2 maintenance package and a new chain and gears.When I went to pick up the bike, Ian was very helpful. I explained to him that I have not ridden a bike in over 30 years and was not familiar with the sizing and features of my bike. He did a great job of sizing it for me and reviewing all of the features. He also explained the importance of having a bicycle pump, and showed me the pumps that you offered. Even though I was going to go online and look for a less expensive pump, due to the helpfulness Ian showed towards me I decided to buy the one at your store. I will be returning for all of my bicycle needs.

Extremely impressed by the manager of Trek. I was planning for a 3-day 130 mile bike trip but had some last minute issues with my bike. Without a second thought, he lent me his Trek Road Bike. I was zooming the whole way and had the best time of my life! You don’t meet too many truly selfless, genuine people these days. I can’t thank Trek bike enough for helping to make this trip happen for me.

Trek Bike in Newington is awesome. Very knowledgeable staff. I went in needing some replacement parts and they had everything. I also needed to replace on a Suspension Fork that was on recall and they helped me through the entire process, even giving me email updates and phone calls as to when the product would be in. I just picked up my bike from this location today after I paid for it online. The customer service was excellent. The young lady, I didn’t quite catch her name (my apologies- she’s from down south originally!) warmly greeted me as I entered the storefront...a greeting you rarely get these days. She helped me accessorize my bike with everything I need to safely ride on the road. Her fellow employees were just as kind. Everyone acknowledged me and made me feel welcome - unlike so many other places that make you feel like a bother these days!! Overall it was a great experience!

Our experience at Trek Newington was superb! From start to finish we received beyond excellent customer service. Jason was our sales associate and was extremely knowledgeable and helped us pick the perfect bike for my mother.l in Georgia. My husband also enjoyed great conversation and service from David. On the day of the pickup Eli (not sure if that’s his name...he was a younger gentleman) was amazing with helping my husband get the bike and rack on the car. They even helped us find a bike shop near my mom in Georgia that will honor the same maintenance support that she would have if she lived in the area. We are so happy with the purchase and as we’re driving to Georgia to bring my mom her new Trek Verve 3, I’m already plotting to get back into the shop to purchase a new bike for myself! We scheduled a visit today so my wife could try out a new Trek Ebike and purchase. We walked through the door and was greeted by a young fella asking me if I could wear a thicker face mask or wait outside.. I said sure as we both walked out and now going to another local shop that accepts no mask at all. Cant help but to only wonder where he purchased his sports team supporting mask or whatever it said on it from. Pretty sure it did not meet n95 requirements. I strongly encourage staying clear from Trek Bicycle Of Newington. If you do venture in, make sure youve bought your mask from an approved source.

Great customer service with a great selection of bike add-ons and upgrades, just ask and they will point you in the right direction. Needed hybrid tires to make my MTB a little more road friendly and they went into the back and got what I needed.

Just bought a trek domaine alr plus form newington trek, great experience they gave me good money for my old bike (2020 domaine SL5) Malory and KC were great. i had to travel 45 miles to find the bike i wanted in my size .when i went for a test ride Malory suited up and took me for a 1 1/2 mile ride around neighbor hood. all in all everything went smooth . i would shop there again. Although I have biked for many years and completed some big events I can’t handle snobby vibes. I perchased a boxed bike online from a different company and Trek Bicycle was able to fully assemble the bike for me at a reasonable price and the service was fast. The employees are friendly and acknowledge their customers right away which is great customer service. I definitely will go back for any bike repairs and highly recommend them to anyone.

For my first new bike in decades, David did a great job looking things up in answer to my questions of availability during these tough Covid times, via phone, even before I arrived to buy my new bike. I took the bike I wanted for a nice test ride and he did a nice job explaining the new tech on the bike. I will return when it’s time for a new bike.I’ve also bought a number of bikes there since 2014 for March of Dimes auctions. I’ve been told, for each year of the auction, that the folks at Trek Newington were helpful and generous to the charity team. Can’t say thank you enough.

Made us wait outside, it was a cold afternoon, not a care in the world on there part, controlling who enters the store and when, my wife and I were cold, but being patient with there “guidelines”. store employee was extremely rude to us about wearing our masks. Once inside they took our temperatures which I felt they had no right to do. They are not doctors. In the market for 2 gravel bikes, but we will take our business elsewhere. Do not recommend unless you wanted to get greeted and treated like a slave upon entry.

Bought a Checkpoint SL 5 and absolutely love it! The sales and service team were awesome! Really helped me figure out what bike to get and what accessories I would need for my new bike! Highly recommended!

Eli at Trek Bicycle Newington was great. I came in to the store knowing exactly what I wanted - a 2021 Fuel EX 5 that I better order quick because of the wait. But Eli did one better and had a used 2019 Fuel EX 8 available with no wait. Bought it right away and couldn’t be happier. This bike was for my son, now I’m going back to treat myself. Nice job.

Its nice having a place local that has almost everything I could need in stock. This was my second visit. The first time was before people started buying bikes up. The second was to get pedals to replace the ones on my Salsa warbird, as well as to ensure I had some nice pedals for the Domane SLR project one I have on order. Plenty of helpful staff on site and was shocked to actually see bikes in stock.

They took our temperature upon entering the store which, under current circumstances I sort of understand. We were also asked what we were doing there and what we were looking for. I immediately became confused why a worker at a bicycle store was asking me why I was there. General rule of retail, never ask a customer WHY they are at your store. I understand they are trying to take precautions do to the pandemic but that went a little too far. We will take our money elsewhere

Id strongly recommend avoiding these guys. They are slow and have a bad attitude.Bicycles East in Glastonbury is a much better alternative.

I called today they said it would take several weeks just to get the bike looked at never mind fixing it.Guys, youre just attempting to sell and fix bikes. Its NOT rocket science!!

These guys are overdoing it a bit with the covid precautions. The governor has ordered the state reopened yet there was a line out the door for them to take your temperature.Also they do not have a large selection of bikes available in stock which they also blame on covid.

Very limited selection of bikes in stock.I didnt see any waiting lines of bikes to be fixed but was told repairs would take weeks. Probably time to hire more help, maybe try employing those with more than half of a brain this time around.

Had a great experience with Trek in Newington. I had wanted to get my first road bike and after doing a good amount of research I decided on the Domane AL 2. COVID had made it almost impossible to find any bike, let alone the one I wanted. Placed a call to Trek in Newington and spoke with David Brofsky who told me as luck would have it, they had a Domane AL 2 in my size, due in about a month. Went through the process of purchasing the bike and accessories over the phone with no attempt to upsell me on anything.Fast forward to recently picking up the bike. Due to COVID they brought the bike out to me. The gentleman who brought it out answered every question I had, made all the adjustments for me and when I did not care for the water bottle cages I decided on when I ordered the bike, brought me out what they had, and swapped them for me on the spot. He even helped load the bike on my bike rack. Even though Trek in Newington is about 40 minutes away from my home, I will not hestiate to use them again based on the experience I had.

During this quarantine period I’ve been there 3 times for different bike fixes. They were professional, thoughtful, and quick to fix the issue each time. When they were done and came out with the bill the prices were always about 1/2 of what I expected to pay. I will continue going there even though they are not the closest store to me. 5 stars all day!

Great bike shop! I have bought 4 bikes at Newington Trek and have been servicing them there since 2016. Very professional and friendly staff offering fantastic service! There are three bike shops closer to where I live, but I would rather drive half an hour one way to Newington because of the great customer service and honest staff that doesn’t try to up sell me every time I need something. I would highly recommend Newington Trek!

Shopped here a few years ago and customer service was great. Now that this pandemic is in place service has gone out the window. Bought three new kids bikes had to make fittings and break adjustments and proper tire pressue all on my own which defeated the purpose purchasing bike shop bikes.

I was impressed when I brought my sons bike in to have the rear brakes looked at. Adam took a look and then changed the pads right there. I didnt have to drop the bike off to come back. I also felt the price was very reasonable. Thanks for a positive experience!

Knowledgeable, gave great insight to the different models. The sales people don’t try to upsale you on a bike. I’ve bought 3 bikes from them, safe to say we are a TREK family now.

I went here and was waiting outside without a mask on “in my hand”by myself, a employee greeted me with the words “ please put your mask on” even though we were at least ten feet away, i stated that we were outside and he repeated put your mask on please “ still at least ten feet apart, i was putting my mask on and was still putting on and adjusting my mask when he then told me to cover my nose “ i was getting to that”. Very rude, i left, I was very disappointed. Seemed he was trying to make a political statement

I had a very nice experience when I went to pick up hitch bike rack. COVID-19 makes it impossible to actually fo inside but I was allowed around back to see the display model I was purchasing and my salesman even showed me the features and how to work them properly. Very friendly, ver knowledgeable about the what I was buying. Made me feel very comfortable spending my time and money. Will visit again soon. Respect.

Trek Newington has the best staff and service department of any bike shop in the area. They want you riding your bike more than anything and they work hard to make that as easy and enjoyable as possible for you. My highest recommendation.

We found Jason, our salesman, to be very knowledgeable, but not pushy which we appreciated. We test rode bikes and after talking with him about the options with other models I really feel like I left with the best bike for me. We were send home with the wrong charge for my battery but they remedied that as soon as they were made aware!

Destroyed a real derailleur during a ride last month and let the bike collect dust in the garage. Finally brought the bike to Trek Newington and they fixed everything quickly for a very reasonable price. I even noticed they threw on a set of brakes since mine were WAY overdue for replacement SUPER thoughtful. I’ll wear these out before I install the replacements I bought. The new derailleur works great and is adjusted perfectly and the brakes should last me a while before I have to replace. These guys and gals are a class act!

I wanted to get into riding with my son... Hes one year old and I figured it would be both healthy for me and also a way for us to bond. I went to Trek of Newington (knowing they have an excellent reputation) to explore my options. I had the pleasure of working with Henry, whom really made me feel like a valued customer. Henry took the time to assess my needs and determine which products and accessories would help accomplish my goals. My new bicycle was ready in a very timely fashion, accessories installed, looking great. Henry made sure to carefully walk me through the steps of maintenance and care, storage, and safety. He even came out to my car and showed me how to install the bicycle rack! I cant say enough praise about my experience at Trek of Newington thanks to Henrys dedication to his customers. I definitely plan on returning with any future needs and certainly recommending my family and friends.

My wife and I bought two entry level hybrid bikes here in the past couple weeks. Jeff the salesman was terrific, spending 2 hours with us answering questions and showing us other options but not up-selling. They let us try whatever bikes we wanted, adjusting the bikes and giving pointers as we rode them.My bike was a 2015 floor model (last of a discontinued bike) so they got it aired and lubed up and sent me out with it. Unfortunately, 2 days later the front tube split by the valve and a week later the rear did (probably stale from the bike not being sold for a season). When I took the bike in, they changed it for free, no questions asked because it was a new bike and seemed like a defect. They also got me hooked up with tools and instruction to change it next time myself! Good service.They had to order in my wifes bike to get the right color and size. It came in and was built quickly, but I failed to realize wed entered the wrong size. Without hesitation, Dave (owner) ordered the right size bike and offered a brand new bike as a loaner in another color over the weekend until hers came in. What service!Overall, weve been treated with respect and got the bikes we wanted at a fair price with a years worth of tune-ups included! They have plenty of employees, seem to enjoy their sponsored rides, and have a good selection of bikes, accessories, and knowledge to share. Happy we chose Newington Bike!

I scrutinize endlessly the offerings from different bike shops and different brands, and Trek Bike Newington continues to be my go-to place.I am continually impressed and appreciative of the quality-to-price ratio of the products sold by Trek. Whether the items I have are relatively new or a few years old, everything continues to hold up well and perform to expectations.

Your shop was extremely professional, courteous and friendly. We had an unusual purchase. My 10 year old son has been very interested in mountain biking, as we live along the Columbia Trail in Hunterdon County, NJ. He had grown out of his 20” Trek from 3 years ago and over the last few weeks we had a great deal of trouble finding a Trek 24” mountain bike or other comparable bike. We found a few more expensive bikes which could be shipped across country, and our local dealer recommended searching online as the stock of these bikes in several brands was low. We spoke to dealers in NJ, NY, PA, Ohio and Massachusetts before finding one at your shop in Newington. The estimated delivery of new stock was late August, so I drove 160 miles and picked up the bike the same day and my son couldn’t be happier with his Orange Roscoe 24. We took a 15 mile family ride yesterday along a rail trail. We will likely vacation in Cape Cod in the summer (after the Covid restrictions lift) and stop at your shop for a quick tune up and thank you.

So Ive bought 3 bikes here within the last two years. Jason has been great in helping me out and my wife out with every buy. For that Im only going to buy Trek going forward. Thanks again Jason for all the help and savings!

Highly recommended. Great selection, knowledgeable staff. When I purchased a triathlon bike I had a great fitting session with Henry who adjusted the bike to suit my riding style. Ive brought it back for service and have been pleased with the results. Great, friendly group of people in a convenient location.

Adam was very knowledgeable and friendly when we dropped off our bikes for service. When service was completed the bikes ran like new, tuned and cleaned like no other service I have had at past shops.

I dont write many reviews and I don’t like writing poor reviews especially since the folks at this business establishment have been nice and also seem genuinely concerned about issues, but enough is enough. I bought a new high end Trek road bike here a few years ago. I have had nothing but problems with it. Aside from 3 annual tune-up visits, which are normal, I have been back an additional dozen times for issues. And I am not just saying “a dozen” as a frustration number. It has literally been12 times. The bike was never correctly assembled when purchased, and as a result, numerous issues have occurred. One was with the pedals which produced incessant and annoying squeaking during rides. Turns out after 4 visits it was found that they were not installed and torqued to spec. The rear wheel failed after the guarantee period and the new purchased wheel was never tensioned correctly, resulting in the end of a ride and another visit. In addition, after the 3rd tune up and subsequent visits for other failures, I was never told that the chain was stretched and other parts (derailleurs, etc.) were failing after several thousand miles. This resulted in more trips back to replace one at a time; when all that would have been required was pro-active part replacement recommendations (which I fully understand is at a cost for parts and labor) as part of those annual tune-ups. The inconvenience was one thing, but all the lost biking hours during the relatively short New England Season was worse. I have found another local certified Trek Shop since, and the Trek is performing as expected now, with good proactive and professional service and repairs are done right the first time.

Brought my bike in after a few months to have a few concerns looked at. Told them something felt loose in my cranks and the rear hub didnt sound right. They put the bike on the stand for 2 minutes and said everything was fine. Basically acted like they just wanted to get me out of there. Didnt look at the cranks at all. I brought my bike to bikers edge and they found the bottom bracket spline was starting to strip out and they are fixing the rear hub for me. Save the time and go to a regular bike shop. These corporate owned stores just dont have the same service and knowledge as an independent owned store.
