This is a beautiful old course. The greens are fast and true and the layout requires you to hit all your clubs - its not just driver/wedge. In addition, the members are terrific and friendly, the staff is top notch and the cost is very affordable. If youre looking to play 18 holes in less than four hours, this course is a gem and one of the best values in the Greater Hartford area.

Awesome, the people and the food was great. The best greens in the state. Love that place.

Lovely atmosphere and beautiful grounds-scenery

After looking forward to time spent together with friends I ordered Shrimp Scampi at an alumni gathering in December. Two other people at my table ordered the same and at a rather high cost. We were all disappointed in the meal. Shrimp Scampi, by definition, is flavored with a lot of garlic. None of the three of us could taste any at all. In fact, it tasted rather lemon-y. In addition, the tray of tiny desserts was also a big disappointment. The way I feel now I will not be going back to Cafe Louise for another meal on future trips back to Newington.

This golf course is my back yard its lovely

Course was in good shape, staff was very nice, but for a Private CC, I didnt see anything special about it. Seemed run down to me and there are public courses in better shape.
