Amanda was the sales representative we dealt with, and from the get-go she was stellar beyond words. I told her what I wanted and she didnt waste any time, she focused on the quickest and most direct path to make it happen. Thank you to her and the very chill vibe of this Mazda dealership, it was the most positive buying experience. They dont waste your time here, post prices up-front and dont add any nonsensical addendum fees due to the current shortage. These guys are unbelievably honest and forthcoming, and Amanda is the gem that makes the dealership sparkle.
I have a 2007 Miata with less than 50,000 miles and have been advised the dealership will not provide any diagnostic service on cars 2007 and older. The car was purchased from and serviced by this dealer. I would recommend not dealing with this dealer or brand and stick to a car that can be serviced even if is older.
Ive been using this dealership for three years and have never been disappointed. Its a smaller dealership, but the areas are always clean and the work is always done well. Prices are reasonable and the staff are top notch. The new management seems to really have improved all aspects of the place. I have two Mazdas that I only take here because I know the work will be done right. Handled warranty work and regular maintenance for me and almost always had a loaner if something went long.

My wife and I strolled into this dealership after looking for a vehicle for days on end, we finally got looked at like people and welcomed in. Michia and Nick were the two sales associates that helped us get into an amazing brand new Mazda. I had never owned a Mazda, but my wife has and loves them. We didnt have the best credit or the easiest deal by far but they got us a reasonable deal and helped us get rid of a car that our family outgrew. The general manager and the two sales people worked tirelessly for four days to get us the best experience and deal possible along with communicating and making us feel welcomed each and every time, we didnt only buy an amazing car, we made a life long commitment with a trustworthy team.

However, the guy was so helpful that he didnt try to up sell me anything, but genuinely wanted me to find a car that best suited me. He showed me cargurus and helped me find the car that Ive been searching for. Definitely one of the best experiences Ive had with a car dealership. Im only gibing it four stars because I didnt find the car that they said they had there.
Dont go to this dealer, he is sketchy. We where in the process of buying a 2016 Mazda 6. Because we were from out of state they were unable to get financing and they quotes 6.9. We got financing at 2.5 and the bank asked for a Odometer Statement. The owner said that raises a red flag and he refused to sell us the car. Was it because they rolled back the odometer or because they were not getting the financing. They added 1700 in service fees which should have covered the their financing. So pick one either they were scared to sign a Odometer Statement or did not want to sell the car because they were not getting the financing. Dont buy there, this whole deal is sketchy at best. I dont even want to give them one star.
They priced the car that we wanted at a fair price right from the start and then worked with us on the trade in value of our current vehicle.Orlando Cruz was very friendly and didnt make us feel like we were being ripped off which is a hard thing to find now a days.We will be coming here again.
This was one of the best new car buying experiences I have ever had. Sung-Ho and the staff at Hyman Bros. Mazda are excellent! Although they may not be one of the largest Mazda dealers in the state, they are definitely the best.Plus, many of the people who work here actually own a Mazda product, which says a lot about their commitment to the Mazda brand. I love this place. I used to go to another service center (where my car was purchased) and they were never able to get my recall parts. Finally, I switched to Hyman Bros. All my recalls were handled immediately. I have my car serviced every year here and the service dept is amazing. Very friendly, knowledgeable and reasonable

I bought a 2016 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring online. It was a great experience. They sent me the paperwork because I was going to have the car delivered, but I decided to drive from NC to VA to pick up the car. The car was ready and detailed when I arrived. It took ten minutes to sign the papers, and I was out. Tony, the salesman, was exceedingly nice and helpful--he even followed me to the rental car agency so I could return the rental. This is exactly the experience I wanted buying online. Quick and easy. Oh, and the car was in excellent condition and fairly priced.

Wow, I am very impressed by the service provided here. I am new to the area and was looking for a place to take my Mazda for service like oil changes. I went to the Chevy/Mazda dealer in Hampton and it was a terrible experience. The girl just took my keys, told me where to go wait. Car was done she came and got me to pay and that’s about it. Not much customer service or friendly talk. Pretty much pay and get out.When I arrived at Hyman, I was greeted by Thomas who promptly gather all my information and explained everything that they will be doing and checking. Then he proceeds to tell me that the oil change is on them for my first time visit. I was so impressed that I know where I will be taking my car/cars from now on. I went in to purchase a vehicle and the sales rep Orlando was given to me by a manager named Sung-Ho Lee. When discussing numbers, I was denied a Buyers order, and told they would need to do a credit check (app) for the full numbers. I called back and asked for the manager (Sung-Ho) and he then gave me a breakdown of the numbers (they are higher with the dealer fees than any other dealerships in the area) ( check carmax, Lexus and Casey BMW) Additionally, They were not able to clearly explain the extended warranty details, and Sung-Ho told me he was a sales manager and the finance manager because the company was trying to save money!! WEIRD! Still even so, I was inlove with the vehicle so I moved forward and I was ready to purchase and he went over the numbers and stated he would need to run my credit for $700- Even AFTER he was aware he would be getting a bank check from my lender for the full amount of the loan minus $700!!! I am aware dealerships get something on the back-end when they use their financing options, but I already chose my lender. LADIES ... Please DO NOT SHOP HERE ALONE, and in general if you can avoid this place, go to a better branded dealership! Best of luck!!!

Scheduled extended warranty dash fix waited for them to get the part in, confirmed with them that the part came in they used it on another car, I made an appointment after verifying they had the part. So we go to drop it off early and they say they don’t have the parts. Not the first issue I’ve had with this dealership. My next car will not be a Mazda and it won’t be purchased from this dealership. Glad this happened because I was going to buy a car this week. Thanks for the heads up!!!’
I felt like I was confronted with this No haggle, take it or leave it attitude from the salesman. Ive Never been to any dealership where they are unwilling to negotiate price on used models.Thats just a given. The car I looked at was also way overpriced according to KBB and cargurus even in pristine condition. This dealership is getting over on people with what their cars are truly worth, trade in values and from previous reviews, the cosmetic issues that come afterwords with the car they sell you. Theres a safety net shopping with bigger names that this dealership does not offer customers.

He was willing to jump every hurdle, gave great advice and worked hard to find the perfect vehicle that was within my budget but something I liked as well. He always followed up with me when a new prospect vehicle came available. Highly highly recommend stopping in to see him!!
So I guess I will not be going to Hyman Mazda! Called today to try and move my services since Hampton Chervrolet/Mazda no longer sells Mazdas and asked if they would honor the free state inspection. They said no - they are losing my business.
I rate Hyman Mazda four stars only because in the real world there is no absolute perfection so I never rate anything five stars just as a matter of principle.That said:Yesterday I purchased a new Mazda 3 hatchback (yes, the future of car design has finally arrived) and was quite pleased with the sales staff. The salesman, Eric, was very knowledgeable and friendly and answered all of my questions and concerns. Mr. Lee made the paperwork as painless as possible. While I was offered several additional options (one of which I purchased) at no time was I pressured to buy one. Honestly, what impressed me most is that in keeping with the true Mazda design philosophy of elegant minimalism, they didnt even put their company decal on the car.I would only add that in reading some of the other review comments (the negative ones) that people are still under the impression that everything in car buying is negotiable. In the past that may have been true and is an impression car dealerships have largely brought upon themselves. Since people can now find the fair market price of a new care online, the price listed reflects that and its negotiation is history. But not to worry; you can still negotiate the value of your used car.One more thing about Mazda. You will never find in a new American-made car the attention to detail you find in a Mazda. For example, the dash on my new Mazda is black but its stitching color has just a hint of purple, not enough to jar the eye, but to intrigue the eye. You wont find that design subtlety on any American-made car. And Mazdas design philosophy extends to every detail, not only in how it looks, but how it feels and how it sounds. Thats real design!Okay, maybe I should reconsider and give five stars.

I love my new CX5! My sales guy Josh Davis was very informative and extremely patient with me. Im a bit of a nut when purchasing a car and definitely shopped around. Unlike other dealerships, who were blowing up my phone 10x/day (I had them saved in my phone, ex. Annoying Adam), Josh was not high pressure. I felt very comfortable with him. Josh Howard was also super informative, considerate and helped me out on my trade in value. I actually purchased his pristine trade-in, so thanks for all the bells/whistles and keeping her meticulously clean! Jessica (Gloria), my finance main broad was beyond helpful. She explained every detail, went over everything with a fine tooth comb and got me the best finance deal. We had a great time, they stayed there with me until 11pm and allowed B-Dog to hang out the whole time! Lots of laughter! Thank you all so much:)

I recently switched to this dealership since the Hampton dealership is no longer a Mazda dealership. I had a recall on my dash and needed it replaced. I worked with Cleon in the service department who completely went above and beyond to make my experience there a good one. Erica was another employee who was super friendly every time we spoke and made the whole experience of building my profile enjoyable. I would highly recommend speaking to one of these two, and look forward to the next time I get to work with them.
If you are in the Newport News area, this is the Mazda dealer for you. I bought a WRX from their sister dealership in Richmond and these guys offered to make some minor warranty work for me so I wouldnt have to drive back to Richmond...and it wasnt even a Mazda! The service department is a bunch of car guys. We talked about the car and mods. I appreciated their knowledge. Roland Felipe is awesome. He bent over backward to make sure the work was done right. These guys make me want to buy a Mazda.

Just purchased 2017 Mazda 6 from Hyman Bros. They were highly professional and ethical (no gimmicks or hard sell) and worked diligently to acquire the exact car I wanted. Their pricing was competitive and my sales associate, Matthew, was a pleasure to work with. I shopped all the dealers in the region for the car and Hyman Bros. stood out from the crowd. This was my first service appointment for my new Mazda 6 at Hyman Bros. I was greeted promptly and with a smile by Cleon my service advisor. He directed me to places I could wait in the dealership. The car was serviced in a reasonable time. The icing on the cake: a complete wash and cleaning of the car! Very happy with the way I was treated and with the service--just as I was when I purchased the car from Hyman Bros. in March 2017. Highly recommend Hyman Bros. and Mazda. I found a car online with Hyman Brothers and did not realize it was out of town. The sales rep. willingly drove the car to a Hyman Brothers close to my home and provided exceptional customer service. The online photos were 100% accurate which allowed me to let the sales rep know I was planning on buying the car if they were able to deliver it, which is exactly what happened. During the test drive I noticed the windshield wiper was torn, and then that the tail light was out. I was able to go back the next day the service department was open and get the repairs done with no questions. The finance department was extremely helpful and friendly and found the best deal for me. By far the best experience at a dealership. Hyman Brothers offers competitive pricing and I was able to get the car I wanted for less than I had seen the same make and model with less options and cost more than I paid.

I wish I could give no stars! I love my Mazda and the dealership I got it grime in California! I can across country and I needed a oil change so I set up with them to have it done. When we pulled in the guys at the service desk were very unfriendly! We had a light on the dash we was asking about the young guy came around flopped down in my car and held his hand out and said ( key) ! He did not ask it was a demand! They were not nice at all if I did not need it to be done I would have left! I am going to call the manger ASAP! They need to be nicer to the people that are kept them in a job!

Mike Saab made us feel very comfortable by really getting to know us and taking time to make sure we were taken care of while we were waiting, the buying process took really long but the friendliness of the staff made the wait worth it! I did have a few things wrong with the vehicle I bought but Mike made sure everything was taken care of and fixed, didnt take long to fix the problems either! Great dealership with that family feeling instead of strictly business.
I visited Hyman Bros. with an immediate need for a replacement vehicle when my old car was deemed a total loss. The staff provided expedient, but thorough service. I was able to drive a 2012 Mazda3 off the lot that afternoon. The salesman that assisted --Michael Larry--was really helpful in answering all my questions and my concerns.I found that he provided a lot of helpful information without the sales pitch, he just explained the features of the vehicles as I asked. Going through the paperwork was also a very straightforward process. If youre looking for the absolute lowest price, then you might want to consider some other options, but I found the vehicles to be pretty reasonably priced. They also come with a 5-year/60,000mi warranty and offer free oil changes on every third visit. Overall, Hyman Bros made a buying a new car a very positive experience. I highly recommend their service!

I had an okay experience here. Didnt get all the services done on my car I wanted due to a mislead in an advertised price for a service online, however, we determined it was an oversight on the dealerships website team. Some could say bait-and-switch, however, after research and for the price, the services I received were fair and I have no complaints there. They even have better prices than the other Mazda dealerships in the Hampton Roads Area. Staff is very friendly and the facility is well kept. Will I be back? Yeah, if I had to visit a Mazda dealership for services that a local service shop cant support.

They allow you to make an appointment for state inspections and they allow you to book the appointment online. Everywhere else I looked didnt book any appointments online and when I called they said state inspections were first come first serve only. That would mean either getting there at 7 am or sitting there for several hours. This way was much more convenient. They also did their own routine inspection above and beyond the state requirements and only came back to me with one small item (cabin air filter) that I already knew needed to be replaced. Didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need.

Since Im not local to these guys, I cant give them repeat business like I would like, but I was in the area and needed some work done. Not only were they the cheapest price in the Hampton Roads area (by a LONG shot) for some dealer specific work, they also threw in some additional services free of charge! I was super impressed with their timeliness, professionalism, attention to detail, and overall quality of work. I dont write reviews often, because companies dont normally leave a big impression on me, but I could see myself going out of my way to buy my next car there, or get more service done!!!

RX-8 OWNERS BEWARE! I brought my 2006 RX-8 in for repair because it needed a new clutch and new spark plugs and wires. It wasnt running so I had it towed. The first thing the service people said was Man I hate RX-8s. I told the service members what was wrong and they said they would look at it when they had time.A week later, they told me it failed a compression test and needed a new engine for $7000. They also told me there were 2 other RX-8s in the parking lot with the same compression issue. Instead of replacing the engine, I took the car home and sold it for $600. The person I sold it to later told me that the engine was fine, and that it just needed new plugs and wires and a new clutch. Because I trusted these mechanics, I sold my car when I didnt have to, and spent money that I really dont have to buy a new Mazda 3.I gave 2 stars because my husband got an oil change in his CX-5 and they did a good job. However, because these mechanics are not trustworthy, and I was outed a significant amount of money because of their poor troubleshooting, we will be taking our servicing business to VA Beach.
I stopped in on a Friday to have a look at a new car. Sales consultant Orlando Cruz came out to help, and he immediately got to work finding the cars on the lot that met our criteria. He was knowledgeable and patient, answering all of our questions. When he wasnt 100% sure of an answer, he did research.We came back the next day to buy a car, and Orlando again was very patient and made sure we left satisfied, even though it was past closing time by the time everything was done. Even those not directly involved in the sale were accommodating and made an effort to be sure our needs were met.Overall, it was a great buying experience. No pressure, lots of patience, and a knowledgeable staff.
Jorge was great to work with. He was extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle that I was looking at and was not the least bit pushy as you would expect most salesmen to be. His manager Josh on the other hand was a bit of a jerk when I went in to finalize the paperwork for a vehicle that I walked in with a check in hand to pay for. I highly recommend buying a car from Jorge. His cheerful and sunny disposition make up for Joshs rude and diva like attitude.

I had a great experience buying here. I was helped by Orlando Cruz and he couldnt have been more friendly, courteous, and helpful. The whole process (test drive, purchasing paperwork, trade-in, etc.) took about three hours. They are no haggle pricing so be aware of that. If you want to argue and negotiate youll have to go somewhere else. Personally, I dont think its worth the stress and time for the possibility of saving maybe a couple hundred dollars. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a new Mazda.

My household gets two vehicles serviced at this dealership. Recently there was an apparent dip in customer service, however it was quickly remedied by Cleon. He went above and beyond to ensure excellent customer service and ensured my loyalty. The only reason I give a 4 stars is there are still some apparent communication gaps between the different departments. Everyone in my household will continue to get our Mazdas serviced at this dealership.
Overall a great experience! I just bought a Mazda 3 here. The salesman (DL Thomas) wasnt pushy at all when I was deciding on a car and was very accommodating. The paperwork for purchasing the car was an easy process as well and very straightforward. All the other associates I spoke with were very kind and helpful too. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking to get a new car.
They are so friendly and nice here. Price of service is a little high, but I think that they make it worth it. I genuinely feel like they care about the service they provide for my car. And, so far, Ive had no issues. Thanks guys!
They provide a great service as usual for my state inspection and oil change services. When you have an issue with something preventing your state inspection from not passing they should offer products of all dollar range instead of trying to get you to buy the most expensive item. I understand they are a dealership however providing a range of options I think would not deter people on buying from them in the future.

Just bought my first Mazda. My buying experience was probably the best I have ever had with a dealership. Mr. Dubois and the sales manager are the best around and I am completely in love with my 2016 Mazda 3 Hatchback. So much fun to drive.Thanks to everyone at Hyman Bros. On May 29, 2020 my son went to this dealership to trade a car in to purchase one of theirs. He inquired about a hatchback for 17k+ and thought thats what he signed for. When the paper work was complete they pull a sedan out. They did a bait and switch with a sedan for 2k more. Then 13 days after the sale the manager Lee rudely called me the co-signer to redo a page of the contract that he messed up. Asked me to lie on it to cover his error. Worst place! Rude and liars!
Excellent service. Just bought a new CX-5 from Hyman Brothers. My wife and I shopped at another dealership. Hyman Brothers advertised the best deal. The final price was actually $50 less than my low-ball estimate. Good trade-in value on our Mazda 3. Chris, the sales person, was genuine and offered no pressure. I recommend Hyman Bros to anyone interested in buying a Mazda.
Was looking at a 2019 mazda3 with a nearly paid off trade in with decent equity left over and a credit score over 740. Had a good salesman but management was lacking, traditionally when a deal is stuck and the salesman is going back and forth from sales manager to customer and the customer is ready to walk the manager typically meets with the customer. In my instance this did not happen. The manager let me walk... Hymans loss

Tried to get a factory defective dashboard replaced under warranty and was put on a wait list for the part. Called every few months for 3 years just to be told i’m not on a list yet but they can add me to it. I called again today and was hung up on initially and then told it would be 2 weeks before my car could be seen for basic maintenance. Loved my Mazda but stay away from Hyman Bros Mazda.
Came all the way down from Alexandria,VA. The staff was nice, quick and courteous. They gave me a fair price on the estimate, took me out on a test drive and made the purchase experience pleasant. Would highly recommend
Went in for oil change & to check tires since i recently got a low air pressure alarm. They found a screw in one of my tires & patched it up. The service department had my car in & out in about an hour. Very happy with work done.
Had some manufacturers defects on my rims. Unbeknownst to me it was pointed out by the service technician that they were covered and would be replaced (all 4) for free. Well not liking the color of the new rims that came back the service technician had the original rims re-done at no cost! They truly worked with me trying to make me a satisfied customer because I would have lived with the lighter replacement rims but I wasnt happy! Great Job to all involved!
Best dealership! Jessica is beyond knowledge with the process for financing a car. And was so helpful! The customer service in the service department is fantastic as well! When my lease is up I will be doing business again with them!

Went in to check out a Mazda 6 today, worst service Ive ever had at any dealership in my life. Im about to turn in my leased Mercedes GLA, and was thinking of looking at some less expense options for my next lease, you know so I could put a little extra money away into savings or something, anyway I asked the sales guy who approached me what a ballpark lease Payment would like on the show room model they had of the 6. (Guy didnt even know what cars he had in the showroom floor despite having been there all day.)Of course they wanted to get all my info and run a credit check etc. but I said,no, I just want a ballpark amount. I have upper 600 to low 700 credit score, thats all you should need to know, along with why my down payment would be.After being unable to coerce me into running my credit etc he says, well Mazda wont even least to you unless your upper 700-800 credit score. So your telling me Mazda only wants to lease to the upper 5-10% of America? Please, I find it hard to believe 1) that that is the case and 2) that there would be any issue leading to a person who has good credit and was able to lease a car a Mercedes worth nearly $10,000 more than the car in question.I was like come on whats the lease price that would be in one of your commercials? Knowing that that price is based on like 10% down at time of signing. He couldnt do it. Said they dont have that info and it just takes time to figure this all out. (Time they had plenty of because it was a rainy day, and all the employees I had seen were handing out in one of the windowed offices in the showroom.So of course I told him, never mind, Ill take my business elsewhere to someone who action wants to do business with me and not just rip me off. Im pretty sure if I played ball with these guys I would have been spending just as much to lease a $31,000 car as I was for the $39,000 car I was about to turn in.
Staff was nice and friendly. However they will price gouge you like crazy in the shop. Charging for things like rotating the tires which is free at most oil/tire centers. Also repeatedly forgetting to perform services you asked them to and having to remind them before you car comes off the lift. Recently got the same services performed elsewhere at well under half the cost. Im not coming back.
Great service and friendly people. I had visited about 7 or 8 dealerships in the area within about 3 days with varying customer service levels. However, Mark Marvuglio at the Human Bros Mazda knocked it out of the park with his customer service. He was concious of my time, asked questions to figure out what I wanted, and showed me a vehicle which was in my desired spefications and price range. He was not pushy or continuously trying to upsell me like many of the other dealerships in the area. He answered questions when I had them, and provided info without being rude or condescending.When it came to the purchase of the vehicle, Mark was patient and kind. And Hyman Brothers offered an respectful value for my trade in. Ultimately, I felt respected and satisfied with my purchase. Would highly recommend!
I just bought a 2018 Mazda 3 Touring from Jessica last week. I had been looking at a used Mazda 3 with around 30,000 miles and didnt think I could afford a new car. I got Hyman Bros. website just to see what they had and found my car at around $3,000 off MSRP.I went to look at the cars and was pleased that a salesperson didnt jump on me immediately. When it was clear I was looking at cars Jessica came out and asked if I wanted any help. She was SUPER friendly and as we talked I didnt feel pressured at all. When we started talking numbers and I was passed off to Sung-Ho I was equally pleased to see how down to earth and friendly he was. I never felt pressured into anything, every step was explained along the way and they answered any questions I had. It really was a super easy and laid back buying experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Hyman Bros. and Jessica!
