Came in here was greeted by a super tall guy with curly hair he was awesome we had a tail light out he replaced it and everything even checked my fuses!! I love him that right there is the best customer service Ive ever got in my life. He should be running the store.

The most useless employees we’ve ever personally experienced at autozone. Literally stood outside smoking cigarettes next to us and offered zero help. TERRIBLE customer service.

This is the second time I have been in this Newport location store and and they have just been very rude. First time was about a battery and this second time I went into the store just to buy glass cleaner wipes. Lady at the front desk was ringing someone up and when he left she left the register and never came back, KNOWING THAT I WAS WAITING TO BE RANG UP. A guy came in behind me and they said “sir if you’re ready I can ring you up, again knowing that I was standing there waiting!!! Some tall guy was staring right in front of me and never said anything. I just tossed the wipes and left. These people are very rude here and obviously don’t like their job. I wish this location would shut down or they get all new employees there. I always get great customer service at the Latonia location. Btw, the glass cleaner wipes are cheaper at Kroger.

The employees are both friendly and helpful. Got assistance with installing my cabin filter.

I get top notch service here each time I visit this location. Its the only place I go when my vehicle is in need of things. Knowledgeable and helpful staff.

I just stopped at Auto Zone with my mom tonight. Her oil light was going off and I have no idea when she got the oil changed last. Rafael was so helpful. We couldnt even get the hood open on the Jeep. Then he helped get the oil and showed where it should be on the dip stick. Thank you so much for all your help Rafael! Mom is now able to golf in the morning!!

Stopped by for a new battery today as second time in the last week my car wouldnt start... Staff was friendly, tested my battery which tested fine. Proceeded to test alternator and starter. Everything checked out fine. Suggested possible causes and after checking i found the USB charger was causing the battery drain. Needless to say when the time does come for a new battery or parts I will becoming back.Thanks for the quick, friendly service!!!

I ordered parts Thursday. The gentleman said that the parts would be in no later than 1 pm Saturday and he/they would call as soon as they came in . At 2 pm Sat still no phone call. I drove to Auto Zone and asked about my parts. They asked me for my phone number, then asked my name. They said that they didnt see any orders under the name or number !! They said do you by any chance have a receipt . Well of course I do . They still couldnt find the order . So the guy goes walking around in the back looking for my parts. Then comes back up front and proceeded to explain that he didnt know what was going on with my order. An older gentleman comes up and says are you looking for these ? Which was my parts.

Always ask you if you need help as soon as you walk in the door. Usually always have the right part for my car.

This place was horrible! I just left they wouldnt help me with anything I needed fuses for my dash my dash lights are out. They couldnt tell me what type they wouldnt even step out of the store and there was at least 6 just standing behind the counter twiddling their thumbs with no one in the store but me. I went out got the panel brought it back they told me I need to remove a fuse I tried they were in there too tight so I asked for tweezers or something and they told me they didnt have anything to help me with that. Never came to assist or asked if we needed help. Finally gave me a useless paid of bent pliers that didnt work because they were broke. I gave up and left and Ill be er return there again. Awful worst customer service and lazy employees ever.

If you debate going the extra couple miles to this auto zone because theres one in Covington, save yourself the headache and just go to Newport. The staff here are helpful folks who dont act annoyed while assisting you. Never had a bad experience here, and Ive never felt weirded out by the cashiers, unlike my experience on Madison Avenue in Covington with the non binary person (hopefullythe word person doesnt offend it)

Rafael was a Godsend for my son. He hit a pothole in his new car and his tire and rim was damaged. Rafael without any hesitation came out and helped him use the air compressor that came with the car. My son was almost in tears but Rafael saved the day. He was able to drive to the tire place to have it repaired. Thanks a million 😁

Kriss and Emil went above and beyond for a simple battery swap!Recently I discovered some SEVERE corrosion on my Duralast battery. I realized I was overdue for a replacement, so after cleaning away what I could, I jumped it and took it in.Kriss was happy to assist me as I came in, and she was pleasant to talk with as we determined the correct model. The old battery was actually still in the last year of warranty, so I was able to get a slight discount on my new battery, which was an unexpected surprise. She was happy to perform the swap as well, so we headed out to my car.I had tried to budge the terminals on my own before going in, but I unfortunately didn’t have many tools on hand. I hoped it would be easier with their kit, but boy was I wrong! The corrosion had essentially bonded the terminals to the old posts and even with a variety of long handled tools we were having no luck after several minutes. Kriss retrieved the Store Manager Emil for added strength, and he was able to beat the suckers into submission—literally! We completed the swap and I drove away extremely happy, with a noticeable difference in my electrical system’s power.I can’t express my appreciation enough to the both of them for handling a situation that far exceeded the expected conditions of a routine battery swap. Thank you both VERY much and you’ve made a customer for life!

Was not impressed with Cassandra. How can a person with no knowledge of cars work here. Went in to have my battery checked because my battery indicator kept coming on. She didnt know how to use the machine to check it. She barely spoke and her boyfriend sitting in the parking lot was very creepy. She did finally give up and went in to get someone else who knew how to use the device. Andrew came out was personable as well as knowledgeable about cars. If not for him my car possibly would be broken down on the side of the road with my kids in the car!!! Great guy!!!! He was even able to make my 12 year laugh!!! Which is a hard task these days.

I love this place they have excellent customer service. My windshield wiper broke and I could not get it out the little cartridge under the metal thing they changed my wiper blades for me I always get phenomenal service at this location. Its nowhere near my house but I always go to the Newport location because of their customer service

No one will go out of there way to help you, and the store is usually highly understaffed. There are a couple of knowledgeable/friendly associates at the register but thats about it. This location needs more employees to support the amount of traffic through here.

Service is so-so. Their computer system is incredibly slow and the store is not properly cooled when its hot. They sell cheap China junk parts. Would not recommend, unless you want to replace the part again in 6 months.

Khriss at Newport Autozone is awesome! She is very knowledgeable about any car. I bought my Saab in and she not only helped me select the correct windshield wipers she installed them for me! She did the same thing replacing my back brake light. She ordered it and installed it like the pro she is. Saabs are temperamental and I only allow a few people I trust to work on mine. Khriss rocks!✌

Disappointed in how I was treated.... I understand the staff is there is suppose to to help you but I polightly declined any advice which one of the store workers was insulted and told me that “he didn’t like my attitude” so he had someone else help which every single time this guy is right on point and is very kind and will go out of his to get you the parts you need, I only gave two stars because of Matt who works there who is awesome and helps you out with everything you could possibly need help with and then the older taller guy who helped me out with my parts, both very kind and helpful individuals.

Rudest Auto Zone that I’ve been to in a long time. Guy named Darrell was more productive helping his employee than helping a line of customers he had. Not only was I getting upset but there were others who needed an auto zone employee to help guide them to the right product. I even asked Darrell to assist me in putting my windshield wipers on because I never done it before. He never came out when I was standing in the rain trying to firgure it out myself. Not a fan of the Newport Kentucky auto zone.

The woman who was working was very helpful and friendly. She tested my batter and alternator and when both passed helped walk me through other possible scenarios that could have been causing the problem. She went above and beyond to test the parts and to continue with further help.

They were very helpful. Checked my battery and replaced it. Took no time at all! Thanks AutoZone!

Some of the staff members here can be really nice but there is one woman who works here that is rude as can be. I went to the store and asked her a question and she didnt even look to see if they had it she just said no they didnt carry it. But when I got home later that day I had my husband call up and ask and it was the same woman she was really nice to him and told him they dont carry it in store but they could order it for him. We never ordered the part they lost our business.

I went into the store with a very specific goal. I had done my research so I knew what I needed. Once I made my way to the register the gentlemen asked me a few questions when he saw what I was buying, and then he made a recommendation for me to buy a different product that saved me over $10. Problem fixed, money saved, super happy customer! I will always go back to the store that saves me money and time. I know these guys have very specific daily sales goals that have to meet. For them to put a customer before a sales goals is pretty awesome. This is now my go to auto parts store.

Relatively friendly helpful and all around a good experience. The only reason I did not rate higher was on a couple of occasions when they are experiencing a high level of customers some if not most of the workers have a completely different demeanor almost rude. I understand that job is relatively easy when theres no customers but when there are customers that is why you are receiving a paycheck so please try to check your emotions at the door this is business and when emotions interfere with a business Capital can be lost

Best parts stores in town

Listen i get you wanna give and make sure people get the right parts but when i tell me fiance exactly what oil her car takes, and she personally wants full synthetic, the employee working, some old man (she through away the receipt), basically insulted her for getting the wrong oil and asked her where her husband was. His comment of youll be back in 2 hours to her is false.... Because we wont be back. I would rather pay manufacturer prices than to see my fiance upset with having her intelligence insulted. I personally have had issues with the old man in the past but you dont insult someone because they had, in your and also wrong opinion, the wrong oil.

Employee was coughing and wasnt wearing a mask while stocking the aisles.

I bought a battery here last April and was having trouble with my car starting. Finally had to get it jump started. So I went back to Auto Zone where I purchased the battery, luckily it had a five year warranty. They gave me a brand new one, no charge. The warranty starts again from the date of this one. They installed for free. They are really helpful.

Love the AutoZone. They are always very helpful. You can get the parts you need and even fix your car while your there.

If I could rate the Auto Zone in Newport KY I would give them a 0. Rude customer service in my opinion. In my opinion the customer service act as if you bothering them when you ask a question. And dont try to call they dont answer the phone.

Any time I need something for my van I am able to find it at Autozone. The staff is always great and ready to help.

I usually like Autozone, but we drove to Newport which isnt the closest store, because they were the closest store with a Mini Cooper Drive Belt. It ends up that they couldnt find the Drive Belt. It did show up in their inventory, but the belt couldnt be located in the store. It was 8 pm, and we ended up driving out to Erlanger to get the belt from ORiellys. Ill continue to shop at Autozone, but this trip was a bummer.

Been a long time supporter of auto-zone.I get all my car supplies from them .Which is surprising because they do not have the best service . I always have to wait, mostly because they are under staffed and that most of the staff are not very personable .I will continue to go to auto zone but if I can be honest it is not because of the customer experience .

Terrible service. Extremely unorganized when it comes to checking out. No one seems to know which register is for cash/card. Doesnt matter how long youve been standing in line, they take others first. Go somewhere else!
