We have sold 2 sailboats through Matt Leduc, and purchased another. So we have had experience with him on both sides of the deal. The listings he creates are unmatched anywhere. He is adept at photography, and building the file of photographs which comprise the listing. Matt is very technology aware and is able to arrange call-in showings where prospective buyers can visit the boat digitally, which we found very helpful in our recent sale. When we were on the buyer side Matt was very good at understanding our needs and desires in a new boat and arranging listings for us to consider. But above all, Matt Leduc is excellent at bringing the deal to closure. He is a skilled communicator and is very responsive to email, text, or telephone. Honestly, I have never experienced such professionalism and commitment from anyone in any brokerage business like that which I received from Jeff and the latitude team. I was trying to sell my boat on Nantucket through the local dealer that I bought it from. The dealer wouldn’t even take the time to follow up and make the effort to list the boat, despite the fact that it is one of the most desirable fishing boats for the New England waters. Even when the insurance company shut down all closings due to a hurricane, he stayed on top of it and within hours after the halt was lifted, I was able to take possession of my boat. I worked with Tim Norton at Latitude for the purchase of a 2006 Hunter 45 last May. I explained many times that this was my first purchase of a large boat and the first time working with a broker. I have purchased Real Estate and I thought that the same standards held for boat brokers. I learned from him that there was some unwritten set of rules that govern the process. I had sold my Irwin 43’ just before my son Max entered Roger Williams U. in Bristol and planned to quit sailing at 75. But the call of the running tide never left us and Bristol was a good place to start the search for another vessel. We fortunately met MATT LEDUC during that search and from the first meeting Max and I were impressed with his friendly and professional demeanor, not to mention that smile. He stored my winter cover in his home until I could retrieve it.You learn what a man is made of when you see his devotion to his kids which I saw first hand. He would not show a boat in high season ( I overheard) so that he could attend a sports event in which his son was participating.Today Matt is my friend.
