This used to be one of my favorite places but has really gone downhill. Despite this English muffin being palm sized, it was doughy and undercooked. The staff suddenly changed here, and I guess so did the quality :(.Update: I thank Justin for the response and look forward to speaking with him. However, I want to address some false information. 1) Carabellos staff went through a major turnover. Whatever the time span, the staff changes ushered in a different culture in my opinion. 2) I DID ask for it warmed, and it was still as pictured. It is disheartening that the owners response would attempt to paint me as an incompetent customer. I have given Carabello TONS of shining reviews, referred friends, and hosted clients there. The past few experiences Ive had, since the staff change, have been less positive. That is my experience and opinion.

Went at 8:30am on a Friday morning and it was a little busy. Tables had fresh flowers and there were a lot of houseplants so the environment was cozy. Would definitely go back!

What an experience! Super people and fantastic, well-balanced drinks with a creative twist! We started off with a traditional iced latte. Smooth, no acidity - quite good. The oat milk latte was exceptional. We also tried the iced mango jalapeno which was tasty fun. The surprise of the day was Tickety Boo Treats, located in the former Analog Coffee Bar space within Carabello. Vegan cheesecakes to-die-for! Several styles but the Lemon Wild Blueberry was stunning. A must try all around.

My favorite local coffee shop!! I love spending an afternoon here studying or reading while sipping on something old or new. They always have the most delicious seasonal drinks, I’m so glad they brought back their Maple Spice Latte!

We live a couple blocks away and have always loved this place. Today shortly after ordering with my mother-and-father-in-law, dog and baby in tow, it started to storm. The owner graciously drove to our house and dropped off our coffee order. Can’t say enough how kind that was. He even gave us free drinks for next time. Truly neighborly.

We enjoy it there, very nice inside. But, you need a signature coffee every day. A choice, one that doesnt have all the florals, and this and thats. Yes, you can do a pour over of a regular coffee. Small $3.13. I always get a refill, wham, total $6.26.

WHEELCHAIR USERS YES YES YES.Worked here for a few hours.First if all fun vibe, super-friendly staff, LOTS of seating (tables, couches, benches), BIG restroom, staff delivers orders to tables.The shop has multiple levels but only one up steps and the rest are all relatively low-grade ramps. The floor pretty seamlessly grades down. I had no trouble pushing up or down independently as a high functioning quadriplegic in a manual WC.

It was cute! the ladies working were so kind and wholesome and I felt nice and safe. Ordered a large iced chai, it was good, with a lot of cinnamon, so a bit grainy at the end.For studying, it was alright! Lots of nice natural light. The benches were a bit uncomfortable but that was the only seating option left when we got there. I also felt kind of awkward taking up space there while I was studying, although I made sure to buy a drink every hour. Didnt really have great food options, but the drinks were delicious.The only recommendation might be to try and make some of the tables more outlet accessible, perhaps with surge protectors or an extension cord?Also note that the bathroom light is on the outside of the door- took me a second to figure out lmao. They also have outdoor seating if thats your vibe/if you have a stronger electronic than mine.

Went in for a quick shot of espresso and ended up having a wonder espresso experience that involved chocolate and mineral water. Absolutely amazing experience. Thank you so much.

First time trying this place. We did the 4 for 25 deal so we could sample a variety. The barista was really cool and explained all the different drinks and made it a fun experience and not just a cup of coffee. We plan to come back when we are in town again.

Had the iced coffee with oat milk and a pastry. Both were absolutely delicious. Also, my girlfriend loved the gluten free, dairy free donuts. Great atmosphere inside and excellent service. Looking forward to going there again!

• Neat coffee shop with plenty of seating, a bit slower to get your coffee, beans to go are decent as well.• Cool-looking coffee shop with tasty coffees, however, it takes a bit of time to get your order, but Id rather get my order done right and with care I suppose. :)Plenty of place to sit, even if its busy, which is a nice bonus and something fairly hard to see at local coffee shops.• Coffee beans are roasted right on site, but the bags were a bit weird. They didnt have a roast date on them. I asked why and they answered that all are fresh and made for immediate consumption. Thats fine and all, but Id like to see the date on there and judge the freshness myself. Without a date they can kind of claim all are fresh.Another thing that I was not a fan of was the fact that the bag wasnt even sealed. Most coffee shops seal it to where you have to cut the top with scissors to get in. This was just rolled up and closed, which does not make me confident that the beans stay that fresh. Will be back probably, but most likely not for fresh beans.

Extraordinary coffee! I especially recommend the natural process/dry processed beans. Service is excellent and the space is comfortable. This is the best coffee in the area.

LOVE this place! I only go to the Analog bar. Austin and David are great baristas and make for interesting conversation. Have some fun with the experimental drinks they craft! My favorite thus far is the Tres Leches Cappuccino. Go into it with a good attitude and you might find your new favorite spot in Greater Cincinnati!

I’ve been pretty supportive of this shop for the last few years and little did I know…they have been supporting conversion therapy for years. You can Google it it dates back a few years but it has really been brought to light in the last few days. Do they have good coffee? Absolutely. But how can you support a company that uses its money to actively support conversion therapy? They have recently lost the support of many local restaurants, which have stopped serving their coffee completely. (Thanks sleepy bee)! They have yet to issue a statement and I doubt they will considering they have actively disabled links on their website (the “where to find us” link at the bottom of their site) and their Facebook and instgram are not open for comments. I am so beyond disappointed by this. They can do better.Purchase at your own discretion. I wish there was a way to return from this.. but I doubt it.

I am a visitor and my friend recommended this coffee since I am obsessed with coffer&coffee shopsI tried Cortado and was good not too strong and gave u a smooth tasteUsually I love my coffee strong but this one was goodThey do have a nice sitting and working area!I wish they do more breakfast stuff and more pastries because they do have good coffee though

I work from home but very seldom do I actually work from home. It’s important to find a place where I can actually get work done. I’m kinda new to Cincinnati so I’m also using this time to explore many of the coffee shops in the area. This place was not a disappointment at all. I love the huge seating area and all the natural light! At times it got kinda loud just because it can be super busy, but I was able to have meetings and still get all my work done. Will definitely be coming back.

Nice, sorta funky coffee & pastry shop. Its got a friendly vibe, and is pretty cozy. The staff were very friendly and the service was fast. Great drink presentation, and the coffee was well made. Not bitter and overroasted, nor weak. Appears accessible for differently abled folx. Street parking.

Visited for the first time and so disappointed. Coffee was cold to start off with asked the barista to reheat it, all she did was put some steamed milk which did not work and all she did was excuse and not even offer to make another one. Put out a burnt quiche when asked to heat it. Hot chocolate was like store bought swiss coffee with added sugar. Will never return

I’ve never been to the physical location but have been ordering the Addicting Liquid whole bean roast for years…it’s what got me and my wife through the pandemic. It’s the best coffee we have ever had. I’m leaving a review partly because of the other 1-star reviews that falsely claim that they support “conversion therapy” — a lie and rumor started by an internet activist.

My 9 1/2 months pregnant wife NEEDED an iced chai latte. When I got there it was the only item out of stock. The two awesome baristas proceeded to make as close to a chai latte from scratch and gave advice on substitutions for her temporary dietary restrictions. Im not a coffee tea guy myself but based on how I was treated this place is a 10 in my book. Also my wife loved her drink!

The Carabellos have always been an awesome philanthropic Coffee/compassion roaster! Quaint shoppe w wonderful Coffee, atmosphere, craft foods offerings, and employees. The Analog Bar is a must with Austin and Jacoby. Weve done Coffee home brew classes as well as a fun, festive Mothers Day event at the Analog. A must stop! I was in the shoppe writing a paper on the (beer) hops market and Justin took the time to discuss how the coffee market works.

My son got me hooked on Carabello coffee after finding it in his local coffee shop downtown Indy. Addicting Liquid is my go-to whole bean, and is simply the best coffee I have ever had!I wasnt satisfied to only get it when I was in that area, so I visited their website to see if they delivered. Happily, they do, AND shipping is a flat $5 and the coffee was to me in TWO days!!I am now a lifer- thanks Carabello Coffee Company!!

This is hands down my favorite coffee shop in Cincinnati. This gem in Newport is so welcoming and of course has amazing coffee! The staff all take pride in making the perfect cup for you. I highly recommend stopping at Carabello. You wont be disappointed. Try the cold brew!

Beans and make are actually really good! The vibe is a little too grass roots/cracker barrel to sit and work, but for a place to grab a good coffee to go this is the spot. I’ve tried a few places in Cincy and it’s hard to find quality. This place has it. I bought an Oat Milk latte iced and am well pleased. Will be back when passing through.

Just a stop on our way through town. It is a very cute place for coffee lovers. The cafe was where we sat but they have another half that is a coffee bar! The coffee was very good and my son liked their hot chocolate. Also their salted carmels are delicious!

Coffee was pretty good, maybe a touch pricey. Then again they let me stay for two hours with a laptop and were incredibly nice to me. Overall solid recommend.

GREAT COFFEE! I will be back to form a second opinion and write a new review. However, right now Ill leave it where it is. The espresso is good, not great, not bad. The store atmosphere with customers and the furnished building itself was great. The staff was okay, and one particular person was not great. This possibly middle aged man was very impatient with my selection, and not helpful.I consistently start a stopwatch on my watch, and take an exact 30 seconds to decide. When I first came I said this was my first time here at Carabello. Anything I did seemed as an inconvenience. I truly hope my second visit will be a better experience.

Why would you put a table right next to where you order your coffee and food. This breaks the social distance rules. Plus witnessed two customer get into. The customer sitting down didn’t have a mask on and slapped the customers arms who was standing up waiting to order and told them to get away. Which the other customer did move, but guess it wasn’t good enough. Then an employee has the audacity to ask that one customer who was harassed and assaulted to leave.Piss poor customer service and discrimination was seen.

Great third wave coffee in Newport. They have really light roasts and very knowledgeable baristas. If you happen to be there on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, check out their Analog Bar. Imagine fancy cocktails but espresso instead of alcohol. You will not be disappointed! When you buy a bag of coffee, which you should, my personal favorite roasts are their Costa Rica and Panama. If those arent in season, get a Pacamara of any sort. Enjoy!!

Incredibly lovely local coffee shop! All of the baristas are knowledgeable and friendly. They offer innovative almond and oat milk creamers that area locally sourced.If you prefer a darker roast and they do not have it they will fresh drip brew for you.Everyone is very friendly!Great place for a business meeting!

Delicious drinks, good munchie food items, and a chill atmosphere. A unique item: the interior brick walls have pocket holes in the mortar. Write a note on a scrap for some future strangers to find, then slip the note into the cracks in the wall!

Amazing shop! Justin was super cool and gave us a little mini tour / exploration of his shop. Theyve got two sections; the regular bar for weekly drinks but also a craft bar for weekends (thu-sat) for artisanal tastings. We werent able to try out Analog drinks, but Justin gave us some samples regardless. He seems to care about his staff, which translates into tasty drinks and a fun vibe. We hope to make it back even though were from Pittsburgh.

They have a great selection of coffee, the almond croissants are great, the place looks good, nice calm atmosphere and staff is friendly.

Nice atmosphere seemingly busy to study I would bring headphones. Coffee is great they also sell their beans. Some small foods like scones sold here. Coffee bags seem to run about 15-20 bucks so about what you would expect for small roast beans.

Fascinating local business. Really cares about sourcing quality, fair-trade, artisanal coffee. While I’m not much of a coffee person myself I like to frequently stop in for a chia latte with oak milk. They also roast and grind coffee in house. I did have some coffee here that changed my views on coffee (shout-out to David who was super informative) - it was the first cup of coffee I actually enjoyed. They also offer quality cocktails and an nice inviting environment whether you come for the coffee, drinks, one of the classes they hold, to enrage with your local community, or to just use their WiFi and get some work done. I highly recommend this coffee shop as one of, if not the best, coffee shops in the Cincinnati area.

This is my absolute favorite coffee shop in the Cincinnati area! Great coffee and tea, and the baristas are the best (friendly and quick!). The atmosphere is perfect (clean, cozy, lots of natural light) and is perfect for meeting a friend or working/studying. In no time at all it became my second home!

All time favorite coffee spot!

I recently ordered ground coffee for a birthday gift. Yesterday, when I received my order I had gotten whole bean instead of the chemex ground coffee that I had purchased on line. Oops.I emailed Carabello Coffee Company later that evening. The very next day at 8 am I received a phone call from the owner! I must admit I was shocked. I’m 56 years old and never before had I heard directly from an owner of an establishment. He was very concerned that my order had not been right. He took responsibility, apologized for the error and assured me that my correct order would be shipped immediately. Wonderful! If the coffee is as good as the customer service then it’s going to be fantastic! Looking forward to sampling it soon.I recommend Carabello Coffee Company to everyone on this planet! I also, encourage other businesses to follow in Carabello’s footsteps. I fully understand that mistakes happen but the true test is how you mend them. Carabello rocks!

Perfect use of a centennial building (formerly residential house?) in Downtown Newport. The walk-up window is very convenient. Hopefully I eventually see the inside. I love the homemade popsicles here.

The first time I went to Carabello coffee, I had a great experience-- great coffee & great atmosphere! As a result, I suggested to my friends that we go to Carabello to study for finals. Within five minutes of finding a table and sitting down, the owner introduced himself! Super friendly conversation until he noticed that we had yet to buy our drinks. It was pretty clear that we were just getting settled in before purchasing our food & drinks. Although he attempted to be friendly in his approach, he basically told us that we need to buy a drink now because this is not a library that is subsidized by the government. It felt awkward as we tried to explain that we were about to head up & had just arrived. He then proceeded to go to the table my two other friends were sitting at. One of my friends was still working on her drink and the other had finished his and had placed it in the dish return. The owner also told him that if he were to stay, he needed to have a drink in front of him. He hovered around to ensure that everyone purchased a drink right away- approaching our table multiple times as if we were a group of loitering teens. This approach was extremely uncomfortable and definitely made the group of us feel awkward and unwelcomed.

The best coffee shop in Cincinnati. Excellent taste, smiling and courteous staff. Highly recommended!

Chose this place because it said family friendly. The tea I had was good, however, when i asked for a high chair for my daughter— i was told they don’t have any...i’d consider no high chairs makes them not very family friendly. it was a rough time drinking tea while my 10 month old climbed around the table.

Stayed in Newport overnight during a road trip and grabbed coffee before hitting the road. We loved the iced mochas (fresh roast flavor). Next time we are in town, we would stop here again!

Have been a huge fan for years. Awesome people, fantastic coffee!

Very nice atmosphere in a nice spot. Polite staff. They are on the pricier side for coffee and I wasnt given the correct order. I ordered the Iced Coconut Mocha and the staff member tried to give me a mocha with an added shot of espresso. When I pointed out that I ordered it I got the same drink he tried to give me the first time. I am not sure if I coconut was added or not but I could definitely taste the espresso. Will give it a second chance and will improve my rating if its a better experience.

Great place to sit and hang out. Dont forget to purchase something if you sit longer than an hour.

Hands down the best coffee in town! From dark rich roasts to bright floral roasts, Carabello serves one serious cup of joe. The team is awesome, too! I’m always greeted with genuine friendliness and welcomed back. It’s like the Cheers of coffee shops.

This is one of my favorite coffee stops to sit and write and have a very high quality latte. I get almond milk lattes here and I usually dont even like almond milk. I normally get soy, but they only have almond and oat milk alternatives but so glad I tried it anyway. The espresso used here is so good and, after returning several times, I can say they are also consistent. I have never had a bad latte. However, it is always packed and not much seating for a single person as bigger tables are reserved for groups. I have been lucky to snag the last available seat every time Ive been here. Employees are also consistently nice, welcoming, and helpful.

Delicious coffee! They actually roast their own beans in house. They also give a little back I cant recall now if its Nicaragua or Honduran children but I know that part of their proceeds go back to one of those countries. The owners and the staff are super friendly. There are soups and quiches and pastries. The cappuccinos and lattes are expertly prepared and beautiful. I have a favorite drink called the London Fog, which is a cross between an Earl Grey and a latte. A cozy location with a variety of customers. I highly recommend it. Actually I spend so much time there the only thing I wish they had was sandwiches!

This place is awesome! We went for one of the Harry Potter nights and we loved it. The drinks are so good and they are super creative!

Awesome coffee! Its not your grandmas Maxwell House percolator coffee...its 10 steps above! I love the quaint atmosphere and the extremely personable hosts of the coffee that serve you! Dave graciously gave of his time to make us feel like a very welcomed part of a family. The knowledge of coffee that has been studied and artistically made with a passion to satisfy the taste buds, is obvious by watching the crew create each and every pallet pleasure of a 8oz cup of java.
