Love going to the Rock shop, sorry I cant remember the name. Some of the other shops are great 5o. Love the way its decorated outside. Makes it fun!
So the hours for this place are very weird, but the shops are eclectic and fun. Rooster rocks is absolutely the best, the gentleman who owns it has an incredible encyclopedic knowledge of what he carries and seemed to take a real intrude delight in telling the children all about it. His youngest grandson was working there and was also very inviting and really great with the kids. If your kids are at all in the rock loving phase, or if you make jewelry or want to find a really unique coaster, table or accent piece this is the place.
Eclectic flavor for those looking for something off the beaten path. You can always find that something you didnt know you needed or wanted till you see it. We always stop when visiting Newport.
Super cute place with great shops. However, theyre not all open daily. Only a few are usually open at any given time. The petting zoo is also here and is really awesome.
This is the most creepy place we went on vacation. It is odd. There are a few cool shops there. A pottery shop where the man who owned it was super friendly and a rock shop that was fascinating. The entire village felt off to me though.
Cute little shops. Glass blowing, polished rocks, gypsy stuff (very cool)For hippies. Enjoyed walking around and looking at stuff. Will return.
Super fun quirky, out-of-the-way, place to find all sorts of one-of-a-kind items, vintage and thrift store items... Really anything you would could ever want to find while on vacation in a fun little spot of town. Good for kids and adults alike, theres plenty to do and tons of fun to be had! There are artists and consignment shops, theres an indoor bouncy house, a petting zoo, even a Cafe that makes homemade donuts, they are amazing!
So glad we stumbled across this place!! Such a cute little area and some great shops. Definitely worth it.
Great time for young ones and young ones at heart very fun pirate themed they also offer live circus shows sword swallowing fire dancers great for all ages
This place feels like you’ve fallen through a hole in time and have wound up in a different universe which is similar enough to ours that you can get around but different enough that you know you’re not in Kansas anymore. The shops aren’t different from any other tourist trap on the coast, but the owners are all super friendly. We stopped and talked to Jac Genovese for a while and looked at his pottery. His paintings around the village are also pretty fun. The guy who runs the rock shop is also super sweet. I’m not convinced that they are not a wizard and a dwarf. The “zoo” was closed when we were there, but I am skeptical that it’s an actual zoo. It’s worth a short stop after you visit the aquarium.
A little dirty to be totally honest. But the escape room is fun
Lots of little shops to browse and Great photo opportunities. The street is very whimsical and cute.
Great themes in the area of pirates and very colorful. Was in a hurry so I did not see much outside of the pirate treasure but just so you know it’s like a gigantic thrift shop mall
The artists are great and prices are ok I got a few things but I think it will be nicer when its finished.
Went to the Hot Shop and it was closed, locked doors!! But people were inside. No one came to the door to advise. Very disappointing
Such a large selection of unique stores to choose from.
Very fun collection of unique shops in a quieter section of town.Learn from a local Rockhound, attend a circus sideshow, and even attend a circus sideshow here.
They don’t have super long hours, but it’s a nice place to wander around that isn’t a part of the big malls.
This was such a fun little place. Very glad that I went
There are a lot of random shops there that are fun to walk in! The touch zoo is AMAZINGG
If you go to Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport, OR, you should stop by at Aquarium Village. It is 0.3 miles from Oregon Coast Aquarium. Their address is 3101 SE Ferry Slip Rd, Newport, OR 97365, if you need to type in your GPS.It is an interesting place, at least to stop by and take photos or selfies.
So many neat shops and experiences. A whole day could be spent here!
What a quaint off the beaten path. Mollys Food Follies was phenomenal!
They did a good job on the artistic flavor of scenery here how fun for kids on summer break!
Alot of neat little shops to check out. But some of them were closed in the middle of the day.
Super neat place to go check out we will definitely be back
Most of the shops are empty. What was open didnt have quality items.
Fun place for kids (and grownup kids too)!!
Nice Place Most Shops Were open An Friendly People
Fun, eclectic and a nice way to spend a few hours.
Nice little place. Fun escape rooms. Needs more stuff though imo.
Closed early on Sunday so did not get to see much.
Awesome little area to shop and eat!
Nice to just walk around sight seeing. Good food at Fish Tales. Place for the kids & adults to enjoy & buy Oregon coastal souvenirs.
We love Fishtails Cafe, excellent food!
Nice little Gem alot to do in a small Area
Fun kids have a great time
Love all the shops here when they are open. So many amazing creative ideas.
There is a lot of shops but most of them are only open weekends.
Fun little shopping district with some nice restaurants
Cool little shops just outside Newport. Great little themed lots of little things To do
Cute shops and friendly people
Had lots of fun exploring the different shops and see all the interesting items.
Really cute side attraction to the Newport aquarium
Again, worth the time to check out. Shps are ever changing but the ones that are there permanently are amazing! See for yourself!🖤🖤🖤👍👍👍
A cute area and has many small shops. The zoo is open but see their website for hours of operations. There is a small restaurant that is open and serves breakfast.A neat area to look thru as has amazing little stores for antique items, fragrance shop, pottery items and local made jewelry.Only a handful of shops are open so check the Aquarium Village website for updates.
All the stores that were opened had great products and service.
Little tourist spot with shops, eateries, and the most awesome petting zoo ever. Great exotic animals all housed indoors. If you are in the market for unique gifts, this is a great place to check out. Celtic Thunder and its owner is awesome. Fun little spot for the wee ones, especially if they arrrrrrr into pirates and pirate themed things.
Very awesome place
So cute and a few adorable stores I wish I had the extra money to shop in but we were vacaying on a budget and this place was amazing to visit and so many cute picture opportunities😊
Wow! What a place to get an education.
Kind of run down since Willy left.
A rare gem in the heart of Newport Southside Aquarium District. A must see for any travelers bucket list
Great place to bring your family.
Very eclectic location. This area provides a great quaint experience amongst local shop owners offering various products and services. Think pirate themed store front flea market. All shop owners were extremely friendly. Lots of neat items and shops.
Unreal place...friendly people and had a nice history talk with a fellow from a rock shop...
Oh my gosh I got to blow my own glass orb, fill it with my little beach treasures that I found and have it mailed back to Michigan. How cool is that!
Very good food, service good
This place is so cute! It really seems like everybody working in these shops is committed to giving kids a great and memorable time. The bouncy house place is awesome and I could spend hours in any of the antique or craft shops. It could do with a couple more interactive attractions for kids around their teens and up, but the fact this place exists at all is pretty spectacular. I love all of the decorations and old pirate Mannequins. It does seem like a couple of the stores are deteriorating so I hope enough folks are paying them a visit so that they continue their upkeep. I hope to visit again soon! Theres certainly more for me to see in both the Aquarium and the village.
Some of the new shops are so unique and great experiences as well as prices! There’s not long lines to get in, or rude sales people. Just great staff and fun times ahead for families of all ages! Handicap parking easy access to fun stuff!
Bizarre little area
Pretty interesting area filled with novelty shops & a petting zoo. And its right next door to the Newport Acquarium.
I love the setting, but it seems like half the shops are always closed.
This place is fantastic. There is so many stores to check out. All the buildings are uniquely decorated. Honestly a great place to walk around. Maybe buy some stuff. Its worth it just to even look.
Very friendly, informative. Would love to attend a class.
Very nice walkthrough area but because of c-19 most of the venues were closed
Awesome area but its so easy to miss! Pull off highway 101 if you have time and check out some of these fun shops. We went to the hot shop and had a class on how to glass slow an ornament but there are tons of other shops too if that doesnt float your boat!
This place is really neat but too bad most of it is closed. I dont think a lot of people know about this place tucked in the back.
Had a great time!
Strangely cool.
Great location for shopping and eating
Informative staff. Facility was clean and the animals were happy
Friendly staff. Very reasonable prices. Hopefully more animals next time. A lot of rescue animals. Able to pet animals and feed them. Able to hold some animals. Animals appear to be very well cared for.
Love the shops
Most things were closed
I did not expect much from this place. Thought I would see a bunch of animals that were common pets. I was wrong. They had a lot of really cool animals. Most of them you can interact with and the kids love it. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Unfortunately they are always growing and adding because people get exotic pets and can not take care of them so this is where they go.
Pirates plunder has tons of cool stuff. Scored this ring for $20 the other day! Awesome earrings for cheap.. huuuge variety! Cell phone cases, natical stuff, resale clothing for $5, think I even saw some old comics last time. I could list so many things. But thats just one store out of many! Indoor bounce house for kids right next door. Cool rock shop with an awesome old guy named rooster that owns it. Super knowledgeable and hes a hoot. Face painting and airbrushing located close by him. Theres seriously everything in these shops. The store owners dont get enough recognition. Go check it out! Oh and theres a rad petting zoo. They have a porcupine that you would think was a dog or cat... Go scratch his chin he digs it.
