Brought my vehicle to this place after the check engine light came on. Previously had taken it in to auto zone and ran their diagnostic computer on it. It said misfire on cylinder 5 and suggested replacing the fuel injector. When I brought it to Kansas Auto Repair I had told them this exact thing and and they said they were going to run their diagnostics on it and let me know. They did, and informed me this is indeed the issue, but they don’t have the time or manpower to repair and suggested I go somewhere else. If they would have told me this from the beginning I would have taken it somewhere that would fix the issue. So they charged me $200 to tell me the diagnosis I already knew was correct and refused to perform repairs. If I would have seen all these negative reviews, probably wouldn’t have gone there in the 1st place.

I can always trust KAR. They do exactly what they say they will do. Trusting your auto repairman is a big deal.

Do Not take your car here!My sons car was towed to Kansas auto repair At night and dropped off during after hours. The next morning we returned to have them look at the car. They were very rude and a little sarcastic. They did inform me they would look at the car and get back to me that day After five hours I gave up and returned. On my drive back they did call and simply said they don’t have time for me. It was a simple pulley that needed to be replaced. I was informed to push the car off of their property if I was going to fix myself. My son and I push the car into the street replace the pulley and left. There was an Auto Zone just down the road that was very helpful in buying the part and telling me what to do.My recommendation is do not use their services find a Company that wants the business or fix it yourself.FYI. Replace the pulley, took five minutes.Please Do Not take your vehicle to this business.

Exceptional service here each time Ive gone. I was back in town for the holidays and they were able to get me in for some brake work a couple days before Christmas - and then again on short notice one day before I left town. They are always up-front and honest with whats wrong and what it will cost and they have never told me anything is wrong beyond what is actually the issue, like some other places might.

He called ahead to tell us when he would be there, quickly got it set up, and even took the time to fill out our night drop form at the dealership for us, so the family didnt have to load up and make the drive.I know it was late, but thank you Gary for doing a great job!

We got scammed. These guys were insulting and charged us out the nose to diagnose a very simple issue, and then didnt even give us a diagnosis! Instead they wanted more $$ to keep running more tests. Called another place in town and they include all the tests in the initial diagnostics, and charge considerably less.

I was an employee for this company. I thought this was a good company with good ownership because the owner and his daughter always talked about family and how that was the number one thing. What they failed to say is that its all about their family and they do not care about the employees and their families. GARY the owner asked me to preform a VERY UNSAFE act on one of their tow trucks. A wrench cable broke and instead of him (Gary) replacing the cable, he told me to clap the cable back together, which is not only unsafe but AAA insurance policy. I told him no that I will not preform a unsafe act that can not only hurt me but someone else. At that point Gary the owner told me that if you dont clap the wrench cable together then you can go find another job. So thats exactly what I did found a better job. Not only that their repair prices are stupidly high dollar, they can care a less about their employees and their safe. Very bad and unprofessional company!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CARS THERE OR WORK FOR THIS COMPANY!!!!!!

Ive taken my vehicle to K.A.R. on multiple occasions for general maintenance (oil changes, new tires, tire rotations) and repairs (transmission issues). Every time I leave the business with a smile on my face. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable, even offering me names and phone numbers of other mechanics to call when they lacked the capacity to resolve my vehicles problems (in my case, I needed a manufacturers shop). Maintenance happens on schedule, and the prices are reasonable. I have never felt uncomfortable leaving my vehicle under this shops care. I will continue to recommend K.A.R. to my friends and family. They are more than deserving of your business. I wouldnt be surprised if your experiences there also end in smiles!

Let me tell you about this experience I had which started with me pulling my car in for a replacement of a lugg nut and stud replacement that costed 160 dollars and a diagnostics that costed 120 bucks that came back with error codes and failed test. How can u charge someone for a service u couldnt complete and how can u charge some one for taking a tire off taking the brake caliber off and replacing the stud. I asked for the paper work on the diagnostics they never had it they charged me for a failed repair. You an go here but I will not

We received very poor service and staff/owner very unprofessional...will not be using thier service again and encourage anyone else not to....my son a college student close by, took his car in for minor work but was over charged....the car stopped the next day...they charged us for towing service and additional $262.00 on top of the original $400.00....very unacceptable...
