The first bagel I have ever purchased that was so fresh it billowed steam when I opened it. Excellent bagel crispy on outside, perfect chew. Cashier could have been friendlier but outstanding product. This place is hard to find, in the corner, sunken, of a strange shopping building. Worth seeking out.

Michael, the owner, was incredibly kind. Apparently, our order was taken off the shelf by someone-I hope unintentionally. I was told the person took two bags instead of one. So we were high and dry. But Michael stepped in and made sure we got our bagels. And they were outstanding ! Thank you!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!

Very bad service, really dont care about the customer. Its a pitty it is the only bagel store in Newton Center. I arrived at 12:30PM, half an hour before close time. They already packed all the bagels and I was standing there for 5 min while none of the 3 workers acknowledged that I am there. When I asked if I can get a bagel someone replied NO without even making eye contact.I see many more bad reviews of the horrible service, why dont they do anything about it ??? If you want a bagel just come prepared to horrible service or no service in my case.

Okay. These are real bagels. Its been so long that Ive had a proper and delicious bagel, and the garlic one here is just the best. Living in NYC and south Florida for many years, I can honestly say this is the best bagel Ive ever had.

The best bagels around! I love this place. Theres nothing like a fresh Rosenfeld bagel. Their challah bread is FANTASTIC too. They have a simple and easy online ordering system, which I recommend using up to 24 hours in advance to ensure you get the selection you want, especially when ordering a batch of bagels.

Been on a Bagel kick lately and trying to find a good spot in the area. Ordered a dozen from grub hub this morning and they seem pretty hard. Not doughie or chewie. Not bad I still ate it but I like a begal to be a real soft inside with a firm outside that way when you toast it up it stays kinda chewy not sure if I got an older batch or maybe thats just how they roll?

Ive been here many times and its exactly what I want a local bagel place to be but the everything bagel has like two sesame seeds and a single onion flake which is disappointing.

Great bagel spot would visit again, bagels were amazing and the cream cheese was just right. Unfortunately there is not seating so had to walk back to the car to eat our bagels. If they had seating it would be a 5 star experience.

Went on a bagel quest to find the best bagels in the Boston area - this is it. I get a sesame seed bagel with chive cream cheese and sliced red onions. Between the bagel and the cream cheese, couldn’t get any better. I’ve tried all the places that people rave about - in Cambridge, JP, Southie, Haymarket, Brookline - none compare to Rosenfeld’s. Hoping to get one this weekend.

Visited today with a friend from the area. I bought some Challah bread because it looked beautiful. Oh my word, its the best Ive ever had. Absolutely delicious. I would gladly drive the hour to Newton to come back.

This place was described to me as the best bagel place someone has ever been to (including NYC). Its really good, but I dont think it lives up to that.Theyre closed a lot with weird hours (I live nearby and I feel like half the time I show up theyre not open, so if youre not sure call).Personal criticisms, their lox bagels dont come with tomato, onions, and capers, which is a bummer. I tried their lox cream cheese once and its intense and not in a good way -- consider yourself warned.

Classic bagels, truly some of the best in the region. My last time here was my third visit to this iconic bakery. The bagels are fresh, perfectly balanced, with a wide selection. Next time I may grab a challah. It all looks and tastes so delicious, and for unbelievably reasonable prices.

Friendly staff, greeted us as soon as we walked in. Very detailed oriented and beyond fresh food. I watched them interact with other customers and it was great to see the consistency from all the staff members. Very clean which I am always a fan of. Iced coffee was delicious from the start and the Sriracha bagel was the best Ive ever had. If you are in the area you have to stop in for a treat.

Looking for a legit bagel in Boston? Head to Rosenfields! Its a teeny tiny shoebox of a store, but youll find more varieties of bagels and cream cheese here than anywhere else. And theyre so fresh (and so good) that theyre sure to make you the office favorite if you bring a dozen in to share.

The bagels and occasional bialys are what the store is named for, and I am quite fond of their bagels, but for me the standout product is the challah. Moist, a touch sweet but not cloying, nicely braided, with an excellent crumb and a firm texture, I consider their challah a Best of Greater Boston. If I’m in the area when they are open and am not otherwise over-scheduled, they are a must-stop for me.They do have a variety of other bakery goods, including babka; a selection of cream cheeses to go with those tasty bagels; and an assortment of drinks for thirsty travelers. There is limited free on-site parking, but it can be tough to get a spot for some reason.
