The chicken sandwich I got was nasty. Idk if the meat was old or what but definitely turned me off of eating there. Also they dont have fried foods. Icecream was good tho

My husband and I like a mud pie blizzard, which has been off the menu for a while. We told the employee what goes in it and he made it to perfection.

Fast, friendly, service.... only complaint would be that if they are going to offer sauce with their chicken bites... they need to put a lid on it?Otherwise, great food and friendly people.

Not very pleased with the cake we purchased today. We get a cake a couple times a year for birthdays and have always loved them! Today the cake is mostly vanilla ice cream. Hardly any chocolate ice cream and little to no fudge/cookie crumbles. Not sure if it’s the location poorly putting the cake together or if DQ is changing the cakes. Either way, we may be looking elsewhere for our next birthday!

Good ice cream just cant see the Drive thru menu clearly. When I go with my family.I have marginally blurred vision.I can still see clearly enough to write this review though but the menu could be just a bit more accessible to people with less than ideal vision.Setting the Drive thru menu aside Thier Ice cream and other items are pretty awesome 😊😁

The staff was friendly, candid about their favorites when asked for suggestions, and very prompt.

This is a small store. No dining tables, but you can walk in or use the drive through. The blizzards were properly made. Nice place for a late evening snack.

They put out a great product plus food items the owner is always involved in the community and volenteering with events they take pride in there store and its always painted and kept up the employees are friendly and take pride in there jobs congratulations to everyone it shows at your business and work place .

How is this place still open? Ive been scrolling through the reviews about the Newton IA Dairy Queen and cant believe how consistently bad they are. Its not a secret to anyone who lives here that this Dairy Queen is so bad people will literally drive to Des Moines or Marshalltown rather than go here. Yesterday I thought I would give them one final try - my milkshake was so liquefied it was like water, and the girl behind the counter was trying to count on her fingers to figure out how much change I was owed. I had to tell her what the to give me for change.

Not impressed. Didnt have a lot of what we wanted. No cake pieces for the new cupfection and no sprinkles. Kids like sprinkles. 4 employees inside and it took over an hour for 4 cars to get through the line. I will go to another ice cream place next time. Only gave it a 1 star because I couldnt give it a zero.

The place is gross and needs a deep cleaning. Also the employees don’t know the difference between a Chocolate Malt and a Chocolate Shake. They always give me a nasty malt when I order a shake.

Disappointed in my blizzard. Asked for chocolate icecream they used chocolate syrup, yuck! We had to wait a long time in the drive through.

I really enjoy DQ they have a good variety and their building is clean. The employees are always friendly. The prices are some of the highest in town though unfortunately.

The Dairy Queen in Newton is the worst Dairy Queen that I have ever been to. Their menu board doesnt have a speaker. You have to pull up to the drive thru window in order to order your food. They dont offer burgers like most Dairy Queens do. Their food menu is absolutely pathetic. After ordering our meal, the drive thru person forgot to hand us our milk shake. We had to turn around and come back. I would stay away from this dairy Queen if I were you.

I got charged 15$ for two small smoothies. I asked for a receipt and they couldnt give me one. I looked up the prices and showed them they were wrong but they still didnt refund me.

It has gotten extremely slow. The new people dont listen or not know how to do their jobs. Its absolutely ridiculous.

This dairy queen is a huge joke. We have tries this place three different times and there were complications all three times. They never have product for anything we have wanted, register has been been broken down and couldnt contact the manager that is supposed to fix these issues. I highly recommend not even attempting to come here. You will be dissapointed about something

Mostly disappointed that this DQ doesnt have Snickers... what ice cream place doesnt have Snickers?? I understand they are a smaller franchise, but any other ice cream place, even a mom and pop shop would have Snickers. Very disappointed.

I enjoy this place, and will come here for a strawberry shake when I want one. But I almost always wait in the drive up for over 15-20 minutes. A long wait for one malt.
