I have been a customer of Clay Nissan for about 3 years now. They have made every experience in the Service Department a dream! Whenever I have any questions, I just call my Service Advisor, George and he always has answers. Appointments are made with ease. Where else can you get an appointment within 24 hours? My car is ready when promised, and knowing the people who work on your car gives me piece of mind. If you need service on your Nissan, Clay Nissan in Newton is the place to be!

Clay Nissan sent a mailer for the Nissan-sponsored Owner Appreciation Event offering a free oil change. I responded online well before the deadline of May 31, chose a couple of suitable dates and times, and was told I would get a note telling me when to bring in the car.Never heard from them. So today I called and was told that even though it was their fault they never followed up, I would have to pay for the oil change.BTW its a 2004 Quest, in need of replacement with a new car. At the moment I feel the replacement will be anything but a Nissan, certainly not from Clay.

What a great place to buy a car. My salesperson, Paul answered all my questions and made the experience of buying a car fast and easy. I am new to the area and needed a lot of help getting my new car on the road. Not only did my salesman provide a wonderful experience but he also introduced me to an insurance agent that help me the right coverage for a great price.I have worked with a lot of salespeople and Paul is by far the best of the best. The dealership had the vehicles I was interested in and the negotiations were fair and honest. After such a great experience, I plan on purchasing all of my cars from Paul.

Ive recently had my car serviced for typical maintenance: lube/filter, air filter, tire rotation, and a brake fluid replacement. Andrew Blankoff in the service department was extremely accommodating and made sure the entire experience was pleasant and problem-free. He ensured the work was performed quickly and at a time that was convenient for me during the day. Overall, I felt the pricing at Clay was very fair and the quality of the work performed was supreme. I look forward to having my car serviced at Clay for all my future automotive needs. I particularly look forward to working with Andrew again, as his charming and helpful demeanor have made me a very satisfied customer!

I would like to acknowledge Valerie Benson for her continuous service excellence.I bought my car in 2010 and can honestly say that I have my car serviced ONLY at Clay. Val is one of the reasons I continue to return for each service (and George too).Val is professional, friendly, honest and knows her stuff! She always greets each customer with a smile and is happy to discuss and answer all of the questions you might have (and I have a lot of them). To say Val is Best In Class is an understatement!I will continue to frequent Clay Nissan because of employees like Val (George and Brad). I look forward to buying my next vehicle there!Scott

Recently purchased a car from Clay Nissan through Fifi. Everything went very smoothly. Fifi and her manager Tony worked with my expectations and price. Not pressured but still could tell they were doing what they could to meet me at my price. I have been a customer of Clay Nissan since 2009 and have used them for all my service needs. They know my car inside-out and I would say that they have exceeded my expectations. They are able to diagnose the issue and fixed it professionally, they are super busy on Saturdays, but if you have time try going there on weekdays and you will be in good hands.I would recommend Clay to everyone for service and purchasing new/used cars.

George has taken care of my truck for many years. He is totally reliable, and easy to work with. I know very little about cars, and he has always explained things to me. The dealership is also easy to spend time in- popcorn, internet, great cookies. But those are very superficial. It is truly that my 2001 truck with 130,000+ miles still runs and is reliable and as safe as a vehicle that old can be. just FYI< Using someone elses google account to write the review as I dont have one. Visited: April 17th 2011a) Why does the mechanic have to change my seat configuration all the time? I drive a manual transmission and it takes me a couple of weeks of driving to reset it back to its original configuration. Also, Ive noticed this a couple of times, but my car seems to have new dings and scratches after each service. I cant blame them because I usually dont take before and after pictures before I drop my car off.b) Im extremely upset by their sales team. First, they send me a letter saying that they want to buy my car, and when I show up, theyre like oh, it works only if I buy a new car from them. It would be better if that was mentioned upfront. When I asked the sales guy to appraise the value of my car anyway, he said that all appraisers had suddenly become busy and that I should come again another day. Excellent. I dont know how these guys sleep at night.Their service department is OK, but their sales team strengthens the typical car-salesman-stereotype: bunch of dishonest, sleazy, aggressive people. Ive been a Clay Nissan customer for 3 years now. And after being treated this way, I have decided that Im done with Clay Nissan. Im not coming back no matter how many free-car-wash-with-new-dings coupons they send my way. Thanks.

On a Friday night 30 minutes prior to a 3 day week end I had a tire issue which, due to a missing tire key could only be solved by a dealer. I called Clay and explained my issue. George Brown calmly took care of the problem. He had a member of the service crew switch out some small parts and rotate out the damaged tire at no charge. I have serviced my car there for 9 years. The service has always been professional, accurate and usually less expensive than I would anticipate.

I had a great experience at Clay Nissan. After a recent snow, I backed over a patch of snow and tore off the plastic protective shield under the front of my car. They had the parts, installed them for free, and gave me immediate service. I was in and out in maybe 40 minutes, and it cost me--literally--$10.71 for the whole thing, including parts. Plus they gave me free coffee. Im impressed, and Ill go back again for service.

I came with a flashing airbag light, they gave me a quote for 3000$ to replace the whole passenger chair. i tried to get the parts number, they were rude on the phone passing me from one to one. i started digging about this problem i realized the part itself is 1200$. so i wondered why the 3000$ so i called them and suddenly they say oh we can actually do it for 1600-1700 $. i went to a different dealer which was very honest. he said i might want to try and get a used part. i found a used chair and fixed the problem in 400$ instead of the initial 3000$ i would not suggest this dealer to anyone!!!! they are only after your money.!!!

From the moment I walked through the doors I was greeted with a smile by Rich. He took the time to explain to me in detail the services my car can anticipate to have. Yesterday, I took my Altima back to this dealership after a squeaking sound reappeared following a repair the previous week for a steering fluid leak. They say they cannot hear the squeak, I say ok, but please do an oil change. Once the oil change is done, I pick up my car and drive to local Target. I shop for a bit, come out and my car is dead. I phone Clay Nissan and ask if they noticed anything with my battery or could have done something to it. Nope, they say, just a coincidence. Hm. OK. I call AAA, they come and replace dead battery for ca. $140.00. Today, go out to car and find battery charger behind the front seat. Doesnt belong to AAA; so I call Clay Nissan. Yes! They are missing one, a blue one, just like the one I found. I explain that this is evidence that something was clearly happening with my battery when my car was at their shop. Believe or not, they still deny any contact with my cars battery. What??!?! Come on! Own up! You touched my car battery - the charger didnt jump into my back seat!

Very poor experience with the service department. I brought in my 2014 Xterra which has a small lift kit installed. Needed a front end alignment and ABS code diagnosed. They took the vehicle, looked at it, claimed it was all screwed up, and that they could not work on it. However, they are still insisting on charging me $100. I will absolutely not return.

This review concerns the service department. In January 2015 I brought my car in for an oil change. The man at the desk said I should consider getting the 50,000 Mile service. I asked how long it would take because I was just going to wait. He said 2 hours, so I declined to have the service done.An hour later, as Im wondering why my oil change is taking so long, I finally get called back to the desk. They tell me I need new brakes. When they quoted the price I said no thank you, I would wait and have it done later. This is when I realized that they were doing the 50,000 mile service that I had declined earlier. I could chalk this up to being my fault, perhaps I wasnt clear and it was a busy day in the service department and he didnt hear me correctly. But regardless, I was stuck there for a LONG time. After 3 hours I was finally called up front to pay. When i asked the girl who was ringing me up to go over the services, she said she didnt know what I got done and had to ask someone else. Real helpful. When I left, I thought about my brakes and how I hadnt had any issues with them. They werent squeaking or having any issues. Its over a year later and I still have NO issues with my brakes.Im leaving this review because I had an appointment there on Saturday afternoon for the recall on Versas. As I was looking for directions to take the bus back to my apartment, I started reading some of the service department reviews. I had my doubts about going back to them but those reviews solidified it. I cancelled my appointment and will be bringing my car to a different Nissan Dealership for the repair. I dont feel comfortable going to the Newton Nissan for any repairs.

Im on my second Nissan Rogue in the last 5 years right now and I would never dream of buying a car or having it serviced by any company other than Clay Nissan of Newton. The sales experience has been great both times but what really stands out for me is the personal attention that I get from George Brown and the service department.I drove Fords for 25 years and never used the dealerships service department for anything other than warranty work. George and his team at Clay do all of my routine maintenance as well as taking care of a few minor issues that Ive had over the years. I get in and out of the dealership fast when it comes to my routine service. On the one occasion where they had to keep my car for a few days George provided me with a loaner. The vehicle itself is obviously what brings me or any other customer to a particular dealership but the service department at Clay in Newton is what keeps me coming back. I really cant imagine going anywhere else!

This is about their repairs/service team:We (my wife and I) bring our murano here once a while. although they always gave high-ball estimates than any other good repair shops around, we did not have much to complain other than the prices and their eagerness to change parts that can last at least 2 more years without any problems. However, because of what happened recently we will never deal with these people, ever again. I recommend you do the same thing. We had a coupon, and we came here for a free oil change. They changed the oil and let us go and added that we need to change the oil pan without any explanation (my wife was there, I was not and this was all what was reported to my wife, who has a very good history with cars to understand car and mechanic talk). We thought what could be wrong with the oil pan, as we had recently changed the oil pan with a non-nissan part, and as always we thought they are trying to get a quick money before the part actually wears out). We had to leave the country for 1.5 months and did not have time even to think over this. We came back last week, the car was sitting in a pot of oil in the garage. Everything leaked. Of course we traced back our steps, we went to them. They took out some papers from June 25, 2015 saying that the threads of the oil pan are outstripped (probably by the people who changed the oil before them in February 2015, more on this later). So just go talk to them it is not our fault was their response. This is the first flag: nothing happens for 4 months and then after these guys change the oil everything leaks. And the second thing is that they let my wife go with an oil pan that can drain any moment. If a mechanic finds an outstripped drainage threads on an oil pan, he should run out and tell the owner who is waiting there Mam, we have a dangerous situation here, you should know this this this happened, we recommend to change your oil pan urgently and not recommend to drive your car off here Of course none of these were done. (Just saying oil pan needs to be replaced means that you can drive for now but when it comes to that you should change the oil pan).As I also learnt from the other place I went, you need a power tool to outstrip an iron oil pans drainage threads, like Muranos. Nobody in a respectable business uses power tools to lock or unlock the drain valve of an oil pan. So it looks like that these Clay guys used a power tool set on the wrong setting (close vs open) to open the cover! I think that they were trying to cover their tracks by not telling my wife the urgency of the matter.Even if they did not do anything to the oil pan (which I highly doubt), not telling my wife the urgency of the matter, before even changing the oil and just after draining the pan, is a huge negligence of mechanic duties.Mr Mark at the repairs kindly refused to change for free what they have done, and also claimed my wife was a liar indirectly. For a $350-400 piece why would we lie and why would we risk our two childrens safety (we are grateful that we can cover that much cost without any problem)! This is a place clearly needs to be avoided at any cost, for your safety and if you care about honesty. I will take them to the small claims court if I get the time and of course to better business bureau.
