Excellent attention to detail. Brian worked on four of my guitars. Being a great communicator, he clearly articulated what my guitars needed. He provided a written summary and an overview on points of interest. He responded quickly to texts and phone calls. Never knew him before this and now I tell everyone. He worked on my brother in laws guitar and its a whole new guitar. Cleaned it, lowered the strings, adjusted the rod and replaced the strings. Brian is on the corner of where professionalism meets cost efficiency!
I took him a nightmare and he gave me a dream! I paid a lot for a custom guitar and received a hellish heap of an unplayable nightmare and after a lot of online searching found this Luthier. He took great care in my instrument and returned to me what I should have originally gotten from the creator of it. Cant say Thank You enough!!!
Excellent workmanship, attention to detail. Great rates and value for the level of work done. Highly recommended!
Brian took my favourite old guitar and, in a few days time, turned it into an absolute joy to play. I am very pleased with his work and plan to bring more instruments to him for setup and repair. I absolutely recommend Brian to anyone who needs work done in a professional manner without breaking the bank.
Great service and workmanship. Would highly recommend Brian to anyone who needs guitar work done properly.
Great advice, wonderful work, written service record and on schedule. I couldnt ask for any more. My acoustic has never played so well. A true craftsman. Absolutely recommended.
I had Brian do a basic setup of my 13+ year old Jackson electric guitar and it turned out incredible! New strings, all frets and pickups adjusted as required, everything tightened up, Floyd-Rose floating bridge set up. Pretty well every part top to bottom was inspected, adjusted, and cleaned / polished. It looks and sounds better than the day I bought it over a decade ago. I will definitely be returning to Bird & Bee with my other guitars and having much more regular servicing done. Very professional and very affordable. If youve got a guitar thats gone more than a few years without some real service contact Brian and I suspect youll be thrilled with the results.
I was hesitant to contact a Luthier to look at the crack in my guitar, seeing as it is very sentimental to me. Seeing the good reviews online, I decided to take my guitar to Brian and Bird and Bee. I could not be happier with the results. He found a few more issues with my guitar that I was unaware of and he got them fixed. Cant thank him enough. The price was phenomenal. A+ Rating. 5 Stars. If your baby needs work, take it to Brian.
Brian brought my guitar back to life! I couldn’t be happier with the outcome! I’ll be sending all my guitars for set ups and repairs his way from now on!👍👍
I was lucky enough to be party, to the least of gate keepers. So much advice and kindness through difficult times as a strummer. Thanks for the inclusiveness and advice. You spoke me down on price, but talked me up on a decent purchase. Pass time accomplished!
Brian the owner of this business did an amazing job on my 1974 aria acoustic, he took two days to do a full review on the guitar and was very clear with explaining what should be done, it took a week for Brian to be finished repairing my guitar bridge and adding extra support as well as warping my guitar back to normal after 25 years of constant stress, He went above and beyond making my guitar look and sound amazing again I was very impressed with how great of a job he did. I’m a 19 year old student and he was very fair with pricing and I would highly recommend going to him for any work on your guitars or instruments, he will treat your instrument with the same love and respect you do and I would highly recommend his work to anyone!
Great communication, great setup on my guitar. Will be taking all of my guitars to Brian fromnow on. I have had my guitars setup all over North America in some of the biggest markets and they have not compared to this. I Highly recommended bringing your equipment here for anyone who needs a full setup or just the basics. Really great stuff!
I was a bit nervous bring my babies in to get some work done. I assumed that I was going to be taken advantage of. I was completely wrong! Brian took the time to discuss the repair options after he gave me a free quote. He made me feel very comfortable and seemed as excited about my guitar as I was. I am extremely satisfied with the work he did and will continue to bring my guitars to him.Work done: Set up and crack repair on my Martin D-21, electronics repair and cleanup on my Ibanez bass. Thanks again!
When I moved to Niagara I was in search of someone who I could trust to service and maintain my guitars. I tried some local shops, local ‘luthiers’, big box music shops all with varying degrees of success. However, even in the best case scenarios I never felt like I was getting the straight goods.I ended up finding Brian, he was easy to talk to and best of all, he told me the good the bad the ugly, if something was good he didn’t tell me I needed something. He’s worked on my acoustics, finished up a custom build for me and worked on a Floyd. The pricing was always reasonable, but more importantly, he set expectations and stuck with it. If he said it was going to be done next Saturday, I was picking it up next Saturday. He always answered my questions without the condescending attitude you can find in some shops.A+ in terms of service, at the end of the day isn’t that what we are looking for? Someone you can trust to work on our pride and joy?
Highly recommended. I had some significant repair done to a well travelled acoustic guitar. Bridge lift, re-fretting, and brace repair. All done at the highest level, and with great enthusiasm. Its nice to see someone work with passion and attention to detail. Price is very reasonable and quick service time.
Brian has just completed a complete rebuild of my 1971 Giannini 12 string guitar.Indeed, even better than it was when I bought it way back when.Great work takes time.Just magic. Thanks Brian.
At first was skeptical getting my violin fixed here because of the name only mentioned Guitars lol! But gave it a shot. REALLY surprised with results! This was hands down the BEST experience Ive ever had getting an instrument fixed. They worked fast. Was ready way sooner than I expected. And my instrument has never sounded nicer than now! They went above and beyond adjusting things that were out of place. And really kind service. (lol Best of all, ended up being really affordable.)I just feel good because I can recommend somewhere close thats extremly skilled to my friends and family for their stringed instruments. Will be going here from now on.
Had a les paul refinished I couldnt be happier and it was for a very fair price...Ill be going back for sure
5 stars doesnt seem enough to endorse Brans work.Brian repaired 2 long cracks on my Martin guitar and did a fantastic job.The finish is perfect, theres now no evidence that cracks ever existed. The guitar looks brand new.He also did a set up for me and again the result is perfect. It plays better & easier than it ever did and all for a really good price.Fully recommended
Brian did an excellent job in repairing the inlay dots on my guitar. He also provided useful insights on the condition of the guitar. I would definitely comeback again if my guitar needs TLC in the future!
Brian is highly professional and, most importantly, very personable. He truly cares about your instrument as if it were his own. The work he does and the great amount of detail he provides regarding the condition of your instrument is fantastic. Highly recommend using his services as opposed to some of the more commercial/corporate options out there.
I had two acoustic guitars set up by Brian and was extremely pleased with the results. Both of them are sounding and playing better than they have in years. They also look fantastic. I have two classical guitars I will be taking to him as well.
Brian is an absolute gentleman! Wonderful work, above and beyond the call of duty. I am so happy I found you!
I was impressed with Brian’s attention to detail. He kept my guitar a little longer to ensure it was perfect and kept me up to date along the process. He explained what he planed and needed to do so that I was fully aware of the work involved. The price quote was what I paid. He did an amazing job and I’m very satisfied. I will bring all my guitars to him moving forward. Thank you Brian.
I discovered Bird & Bee a few years back, and it was the best move I’ve ever made taking that first guitar to them. Brian’s approach to his craft is wholistic. He looks at issues from all angles and is a true problem solver. His prices are super fair and his turn around times are really good. I honestly don’t think there’s anything he couldn’t do. He listens to what I want and exceeds my expectations . I’ve never had an instrument of mine come out of his shop that wasn’t greatly improved. Ive had my guitars in and out of many shops in Ontario over the years and I’m finally at peace with the fact that Bird & Bee is now the only place that will ever work on any of them.
Always enjoy bringing my guitars in to Brian. He is very knowledgeable and enjoys sharing that knowledge. He takes the time to discuss customers needs and is willing to offer suggestions. Prices are reasonable and work is excellent. He also stands by his work without questions. I have also bought and sold numerous guitars through him and that experience has been great also. I have been dealing with Brian for over seven years.
Brian was amazing!! Had a guitar damaged in a flood and he was able to bring it back to life. This guitar was handed down to my wife and so happy we were able to save it!!
Brian has worked on all three basses I own. From set-ups, to rewiring projects, to conversion from fretted to fretless.Brians craftsmanship is fantastic. Attention to detail is primary. He gets it right, but if its not perfect in your hands, hes always willing to take the instrument back tweak it.
Had a basic setup along with a bone nut and saddle installed. It’s been a couple years since I bought the guitar and it had some issues (buzzy, pitchy, etc). Brian fixed it up nice, it no longer has any of the issues that annoyed me. The nut and saddle he cut and installed for me really brings out a new level of clarity and resonance that could never be achieved with a pre-cut, generic piece of plastic. The price was reasonable, the service was excellent. Thanks Brian!
Brian is very thorough and very accommodating. My strat plays better than new :)
Brian is impeccably detail oriented, and gives a honest assessment. He really understands unique problems and listens well! I would trust all my guitars with him.
Brian at Bird &Bee Guitar Company did a great job setting up and restringing my bass. He did a preliminary assessment and informed me of the outcome. Brian then did the necessary work agreed to and I picked it up the next day. I recommend Brian to take care of your stringed instrument needs. Thanks Brian.
Brian did an awesome job on my ‘79 Norman. The guitar had some issues after sitting in a case for many years and needed some work. Brian completed a thorough report on it and discussed with me how to bring the guitar back to optimal playing. The results of his work are great, and at a very reasonable price.I definitely recommend Bird & Bee
Really friendly guy and he does great work. Reasonable prices and quick turn around time. Highly recommended
I just wanna say thanks again for everything. It really means alot to me. She plays and sounds amazing like a brand new guitar. My grandfather bought this guitar in 1977 and had it for a very long time and to have back just feels right. You did an excellent job. Thanks again!
Brian is the only person I will trust with my instruments. His attention to detail and the report card you get with your instrument let’s me know he cares about what he is doing. I’ve recently had a ‘53 Gibson Mandolin setup and it plays and sounds beautifully once again.
Bird and Bee Company is the bees knees! My great grandfather’s classical guitar was in rough shape (built in the 70s) and had acquired a cracked top and some seriously gunky frets. Low and behold, Bird and Bee fixed the cracked top so that the fix is virtually seamless. The guitar has also never looked so good (fret gunk be gone!). All reasonably priced too! If you need a serious fix or just a spa day for your axe, Bird and Bee lives up to the buzz.
Brian did a great job adjusting the action of my Seagull Coastline acoustic guitar. Super friendly and very thorough. He followed up with me after a couple days to make sure it was set up the way I wanted. I ended up bringing it back to him to lower just a touch more and it was perfect.
Very friendly service, provides excellent and detailed report of changes made to your instrument and all necessary fixes that may come in the future. Very reasonable prices for the amount if work that is done, would definitely recommend!
The Covid Crisis inspired me learned to play again after many years of being dormant......I bought a gorgeous used Martin and brought in to Brian for an Advanced Set Up.....Brian meticulously examined everything thing that could be looked at......reset the nut and saddle, lowered the action and magically made the frets new again. Removed, tested and reinstalled the electronics, along with extra light strings. I am so happy I have a Martin and soooo happy Bird and Bee Guitars is Southern Ontario’s Premier Luthier! Thank You Brian for all you do to inspire and help musicians everywhere!Wally TykolizNiagara Falls, Canada
I had Brian do some repair work on my Fender Wildcat 6 string. The attachment of the neck to the body was loose. I also had some cosmetic repairs in the form of shipping dents done. As well he did a really nice setup on the guitar. Keep in mind this was right around the covid early days and to have him do the work for me was really appreciated. Brian can sure count on getting more work from me.........Rob
Great customer service, Brian is super friendly and very knowledgeable.
Amazing service. Brian is an artist. My 37 year old guitar plays and sounds better than when it was new. Highest recommendations for Bird and Bee.
Had the advanced setup done. Excellent work, guitar plays better than new and super friendly service the whole way through.
I brought Brian my Gibson SG Standard for a setup and also and fret inlay fix. He checked out the whole guitar and it plays better and smoother than it did when I bought it. He had it back to me in one day. Very nice guy also. I will be bringing my other guitars to him for setups for sure.
Brian at Bird & Bee Guitar company did fantastic work on my telecaster! Would highly recommend his professional workmanship for anyone looking to bring their guitar back to life !
Fixed my 1968 Framus 12 string and made it sing again. Great job .
Great work, very professional and thorough. Very accommodating and reasonable prices/timeline - will be bringing my other guitars and future repairs to him for sure
Brian went above and beyond, top quality work for a fair price, recommend to anyone looking to fix their guitar!
Brian is incredibly knowledgeable with a great attention to detail. Brian did a finish spot repair on my Sheraton (soldering iron burn on F-hole binding by a guitar tech who should have known better) and its invisible. Since then I have been and will continue to bring my guitars to Brian for any work/setup. Very customer focused and will ensure you are happy with the work done.
My pride an joy is my 1967 Gibson Hummingbird. This beautiful guitar was gifted to me by my Uncle. He had taken out his first mortgage to buy it back in the 60s. I have so many fond memories of him playing it around the camp fire and whenever we visited. At his home one day I saw it in the box unstrung and had to go buy strings and tune it up. After playing it for hours in his basement, he handed to me and said Its yours now.The Love I have for it cannot be expressed in this lengthy review, so let me just say this. It took 5 years of consideration to have it worked on. 5 years of sweating every time I even thought about handing to someone to work on it. Somehow I stumbled upon Brian at Bird And Bee and I was so moved by his clear passion and love for vintage guitars that I had to meet him. After talking with him and showing him my guitar the care he took in explaining his process and what should and shouldnt be done was all I needed to trust him with it.Since the repairs to the neck, frets and bridge, I havent put it down yet. It sounds AMAZING. It is a brand new guitar with vintage and character. Brian did an outstanding job. If you have a guitar that you absolutely cherish but know it needs work, youre silly to go anywhere other than Bird & Bee to get it done.I will be contacting him again soon with the last little bit of work Ive been holding off on. The nut replacement.I seriously cannot say enough good things about him. Like, are there more stars somewhere I can put up here?
Like new guitar!Brian did a great job for me and my ES330.Thank you my friend, I’ll be back!Tom
Brian from Bird & Bee came highly recommended from a friend, and he did not disappoint! I brought him a guitar quite literally from the garbage, and he made it look and sound new again. His attention to details is resounding, when it comes to making sure things are sounding and feeling right. Very customer service oriented and has a ton of knowledge, and some great stories! Would 100% recommend him, and will be going back in the future for any set-up/repair needs!
Brian at Bird and Bee has been my go to for all my acoustic guitar service. He’s done everything for me from setups to minor repair to major reconstruction. Each and every time, I am absolutely thrilled with the work...that is why despite being an hour away from me, I will never go anywhere else.P.S. - he’s also sold many guitars for me...another great service with excellent results.
I have had guitars set up at other places. In the last few years I have had guitars and a bass repaired there. Specifically he repaired some chunks that were in the body of a guitar and a bass. After the repairs were completed there is no way to tell the damage was even there! The “basic” setup is above and beyond what I ever got from any other guitar shop. I had complete confidence that Brian could handle my repairs, despite that my instruments are not his usual projects. I do not take my guitars to anyone else now and recommend Brian to anyone I know that needs setup, repairs or is looking to buy.
I have had quite a few dealings with Bird & Bee and have always walked away a very satisfied customer. Brian really knows his business, always did a quality job and at a fair price. I would highly recommend Bird & Bee to anyone interested in buying a guitar or in need of repairs.Charlie Boyle.
I required restoration work on a guitar owned by my late father. I did my research and found Bird and Bee Guitars. One conversation with Brian and I knew I had found the right person for the restoration. We discussed various options for the restoration. I was completely satisfied with the end result. I recommend a Bird and Bee for anyone looking for guitar repair or restoration work.
If you are looking for a high quality valued added guitar maintenance experience I highly recommend Bird & Bee. My son and I have been relying on Brian with our acoustic and bass guitar maintenance needs for several years. He always takes extra care to solve any issues with set-ups or repairs and fully explain the process to us.
Brian helped me purchase my first guitar. I found him very knowledgeable and he took his time to explain everything. He found me a great guitar and he has always been available to answer any questions I have. I would deal with no one but Brian going forward!
Bird & Bee is great. I wont trust my Rickenbacker to anyone else. I love that he provides detailed notes on my setup. Plus, whenever I want a new toy, he is always my first stop. You just never know what he has in stock.
Brian has worked on several of my guitars. He takes great pride in doing the best job possible. My guitars all came back setup incredibly well and sounding better than they have since owning them. Thanks Brian!
Gibson Les Paul Studio took a fall at a gig - Guitar repairs are always tricky and if not done by a professional can be a scary thing. Bird and Bee Guitar Company made it play like never before. I would trust this company with all my repair needs and proudly recommend them to friends with guitars in need of a professional repair or setup! Thank you!
Over the last couple years Brian has worked on my newer guitars while breathing new life into a treasured les Paul studio of mine, even preserving and protecting my Angus Young and Malcolm Young signatures on the body. There’s no one around I’d rather trust with my guitars. Highly recommended.
Brian knows his stuff, set up my guitar got rid of my buzz. Been going there for 3 yrs. Each visit, takes the time to listen to my concerns, service and price have been excellent. Fully trust Brian with my guitar.
Amazing experience, would definitely recommend!
The first thing I look for when having work done on my guitars is some one who is professional, easy to work with and has a passion for what they are doing. Brian delivers on all counts. Over the past few years Brian has worked on all 4 of my instruments. He has done complete set-ups on my Strat, 2 acoustics and my resonator. He has also installed and serviced pick-ups on the acoustics and rebuilt the biscuit on the resonator.I have recommended Brian to the guys I play with and other players and pretty much everyone of them has used the services provided by Bird and Bee. All have let me know how pleased they were with the results and how great it was working with Brian. Cant say enough, if your looking for someone who will take good care of your instrument at a fair price I highly recommend Brian and Bird and Bee.CheersTerry 3tl
Brian did a wonderful job bringing my vintage Gibson acoustic back to life. I will certainly be contacting him for additional set-up, repair and restoration needs in the future.
Extremely good work, super nice, Brian has set up many of my guitars, if you want it done right Bird & Bee guitar company is the place!
Very professional and quality work
