The ignorance and unwillingness to help was astonishing by a select employee. I don’t expect you to know every book and class, but at least help. I dropped $600 in textbooks which is fine but treat us like we’re humans. The only saving grace was the amazing care and passion I received from the younger woman who was actually working the café at the time. Books shouldn’t come in 2 days before class, poor planning an ordering.
The staff at culinary art school was just very pleasant andccnice and very attentive to our needs and wants. The food was delicious as well would recommend to anyone
Old town feel.
Not your traditional Barnes and Noble. This is just the school book store run by Barnes and Noble. There are just a few books available, an area for text books, a bunch of little gifts, school related gear including shirts and hats, plenty of snacks and drinks. There is a small Starbucks inside like most B&N although the line was extremely long. About 30 minutes for a cup of coffee, and if you wanted to buy anything else at this B&N you had to wait in the long Starbucks line to pay for it
Really good service!
Never have anything on time.
Five stars considering theres like no other place to get my textbooks. Staff is friendly and the place is organized. The bookstore is a little hard to find if youre going for the first time. Go into the cafe/shop, and itll be inside and on the left.If youre a dual enrolled student looking to pick up textbooks, theres a separate area for you to pick up your books outside of the bookstore and shop. The staff in the bookstore will tell you where to go.
3 star because this place has gone downhill in knowledge of needs. I dont know why. I will state though this is a college book store not a stand alone Barnes and Nobles. So if your there just for school stuff its be a 5 star.
You cant really shop for books here. Its counter service: you tell them your classes, they bring you the books, thats it. Nice selection of school fan-gear & a mini-Starbucks, too.
This is an on campus bookstore with little coffee/tea shop and light snacks. It just seems when I do go there hard to find checkout assistance. But I have found some good discount on healthy cooking books
Awesome sandwiches and deserts, affordable and great quality, staff even get a discount with their staff ID/nametag. Their food is always freshly made. Swanky atmosphere. The whole store is pretty big but the coffee bar section is a little cramped with limited seating. If the tables are taken, try a table out in the building lobby/hall or in the courtyard in the front or back. The back courtyard has a massive sundial installation you can enjoy if you have the time.729-5384 is the phone number I was able to reach them at. Press 1 to check store hours. On 4/21/15 their hours were: Mon., Wed., and Thur. 7:30-5pm, Tues. 7:30-6pm and Fri. 7:30-4pm.
All the staff are always helpful and their products are great. I do most all of my school shopping here. And, as a student, I can order online and choose which school location or home address to send to.
The older staff are awful. Very condescending and rude. Like the old FWB bookstore, it should be run by students who are kind and helpful. The younger workers at the store are awesome. The older staff give false information and have tried to not get my supplies when they were obviously there, very disappointed.
The cashier was a bit rude, we must have shown a reaction in our facial expressions because then she apologized and changed her tune. They had a lot of nice stuff, some was overpriced but others were right on the money.
Customer service isnt great, but its alright for quick supplies or a coffee at the Starbucks.
In and out even while it was still super packed with people and chaotic. The employees were also very helpful
The staff is extremely helpful and always so nice
So much has changed in the past several years. For those who do not live close to Niceville and live in Navarre have no book store at Fort Walton. I drove all the way to Niceville for someone to ask me if I needed help and then tell me they were out of the book that I need. You would think that they would have an extra shipment due to having one bookstore. Then, the lady was rather rude about it like it was an inconvenience to answer my question on how i obtain the book I need. Go online...ok thanks I guess. I waited by the desk to check out and the gentleman helped someone else (not to mention having a very loud phone conversation when I walked in at first and saying how someone needed to be punched in the throat...words exact) and walked away from me. It was a yes or no answer. I then proceeded to the actual check out. I paid with a check so I can keep track of my spending for books besides a receipt so I can be able to see when and where I paid encase my receipt got lost and the GI Bill that I am using forget to send my book allowance..I want to have my own back and have a back up. The manager had to be called over so I can pay and I tried to make small talk in a situation I was made to feel uncomfortable with, I was given the cold shoulder and told well next semester we wont accept checks. No hi how are you from the manager. That was the only thing she said to me. I will go else where for books. I know they were kind of busy for lunch time, but I do not need to feel like continuing my education is an inconvenience to them. If they cant hang they need to find a new job. I wasnt even rude to them and they need to realize not everyone is as nice as i am. The experience was ridiculous. Plus one bookstore? No extra shipments for the one bookstore and the third day of the fall semester? Ridiculous. Unfriendly and rude was my experience. I am not sorry my business was taken as an inconvenience. I did not go to the cafe so I dont have any response for that. It smelled good and that is the only thing making this review 2 stars.
Manager always helpful great service
