Absolutely perfect. The coffee selection, flavor profiles, local art gallery wall, greenery, and overall vibe was immaculate. Melissa (?) was super helpful and her menu knowledge helped us enjoy a perfect brunch date. We cant wait to come back!
Great atmosphere and seating/tables. We had a meeting here. Most of the Staff was not as friendly...didnt great and just not happy. One lady who cleared the tables was sweet.
I didnt even know this place existed. We recently traveled to New Orleans and it felt like we were back in the French Quarter again. The food is incredible. Im very critical of my food so, when I say it is incredible then, it was. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Its not a huge place but, its cozy. There is more parking in the back so dont be discouraged if the parking lot in the front is full.
Amazing, surprising and delicious. I went in expecting a basic take on New Orleans food and was unexpectedly surprised with everything. The service is fast and the food is fresh. I had the meat lovers breakfast bowl and I was full, BTW 63and 234lbs, it was a healthy portion. It should be a must go in Niceville.
A taste of Nalins! Pork is great, beans and rice delicious (a little spicy for me, but good), the BLT is amazing as are the sweet potato chips. Worth the drive from Santa Rosa Beach.
This morning, I ordered and tipped before meal (do not follow my lead), you get NO SERVICE. It amazes me they have the gall to ask for payment and tip in advance of the meal.. Do not fall into this trap.. My meal was apparently set on counter, with no notice, (apparently when the meal is cooked.. they put it on a counter for you to pickup, and call your name).. . Cook claimed he called my name.. I never heard my name, but that is my fault I guess.. . I left without a meal. I did not wait for re-cook or refund. I was disgusted with poor, no scratch that, NO SERVICE AND POOR ATTITUDE.
Had the most delicious Shannon and Rebekah egg scramble bowl here. Everything cooked perfectly, potatoes and bacon crispy! And everyone who works here is super kind. Skip the big chains, come to this local treasure!
We were a little hesitant when we pulled up to the strip mall style location, but the indoor decor and food more than made up for the exterior. If you like trying new and unique hot sauces, they have a good selection, which was an unexpected bonus.
Wish Id taken a photo of this fresh, home- cookin food, but I ate it too fast. Delicious. I bought breakfast (which they serve all day, by the way). And the froo-froo coffee for only $4...good! Ill have to go back in a few days and get a photo of my next meal!
If you dont try this place, youll be 100% disappointed with yourself. Everything was delicious. If I lived in this town, this would be the go to everyday.
Nifty little French creole themed Cafe on John Sims. Variety of menu choices including muffaletta and duck. Prices reasonable and fast service. Great choice for quick, tasty lunch.
Cafe bienville never disappoints. i’ve gotten something different every time and always leave happy and full. the staff is as lovely as the food too!
The pulled pork sandwich was delicious and I enjoyed the sweet potato chips
Coffee was delicious, I had coffee this time, will go back!
Best espresso and coffee in town. The BLT, burgers, and Cuban are amazing, you really can’t go wrong. Matt, Melissa, and the crew are like family. When in doubt, grab an Aztec Mocha and Beignets.
I am new to the area and so glad a found this place by far the best place in town. The food is always good! I have never been disappointed by any food item. The cherry on top is the staff is friendly!
The best Muffaletta I have ever had was from this small cafe. Their beignets are amazing, and they use some of the finest syrups for their coffee drinks. They make excellent breakfast bowls that are perfect after a workout. I have only been there during breakfast and lunch hours, and every time I go it was just as good as the last time. If you are coming into the area for vacation, I highly recommend you stop in at this local gem either on your way to the beach or on your way back home. If you are a local, it is consistently excellent.
We are from out of town and this is the perfect spot! We loved the atmosphere, the artwork, and the customer service. We had the Denver and the Lorraine with Beignets, and oh boy it was sooo good!! We really enjoyed it. Highly recommend.
Food is amazing. Nice people.
Great place to grab lunch in Niceville. I enjoy the voodoo BBQ sandwich. Staff was friendly and the food was great.
Update: Breakfast today. Pesto, tomatoes, mozzarella on eggs. Scone. Incredible latte. The latter items were not low-carb.=========They have some awesome food. Not common.
A bit expensive for one, but incredibly good for the price.Kind staff, clean resto.
Delicious food, a surprisingly big menu selection, and always friendly. Have not managed to try everything, but Id like to. Great muffulettas and burgers so far. Only gripe would be they close too early for me most days.
Happy interior design, very clean, pleasant owner :)
Num, num... good eats. I could not taste everything on the menu in one sitting but I bet that every item on the menu is good! Iced special coffee and an egg sandwich to start my day was what I needed. I did get some remoulade on the side and was so happy I did. Really enjoyed my meal!
Convenient location, food is a bit inconsistent for my taste, some items good and others pretty bland. The red beans and rice are very tasty and your best bet IMHO.
Phenomenal local restaurant. Sandwiches are original, quality and delicious. Same with the coffee. Have been multiple times as a local and will keep coming back.I tell my friends if you have one meal in Niceville, go to Café Bienville... you won’t be disappointed.
This place has great food and a huge coffee selection. My favorite is the bread pudding French toast. My husband loves the egg scrambowls. The flavor is so full and well developed. They also have chicory coffee. The staff is always polite and helpful. They genuinely remembered us on our 2nd visit.
Delicious coffee and breakfast options. Cozy and eclectic atmosphere. One of our new favorite breakfast spots.
The creole cuban sandwich and the rosemary chicken sandwich were fantastic. This was the best cuban my husband has eaten in the panhandle. We also had the gumbo and black beans and rice soups. Both were very delicious, neither had too much salt, which seems to be an issue with these types of dishes here along the panhandle. The gumbo was great, especially adding a bit of hot sauce. We finished up with beignets, which were actually bigger and better than Cafe Du Monde. The only complaint has to be the cafe au lait, which was not strong enough. The chicory coffee was good, but just brewed a little too weak for adding the milk. Also, the silverware had some food residue on it, but was easily wiped off.All in all this is probably the best place to eat in Niceville. The owners were very nice and service was fast. The food is wonderful, with the best beignets east of New Orleans.
DELICIOUS! Will definitely go here anytime Im coming through from Panama City again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
We had a lg. group of ladies who got together for breakfast. The staff was ready, friendly n efficient. The food was hot n delicious. They even had a great selection of coffees for some of us coffee drinkers.
Great atmosphere, awesome coffee flavors and great breakfast place.
CONSISTENTLY delicious, wonderful service, and my vanilla latte is ALWAYS in point.
This place is great. Very casual, you order and pick up at the counter and can sit wherever. I only had the beignets(amazing) and the Aztecs mocha iced (nice kick in it) but the bang mi sandwiches smelled amazing. One of the customers told me that he’s from Louisiana and he loves it here. I can’t wait to come back and try another item. If you’re here for the coffee, get it hot and sit down because you’ll get it in an actual coffee cup. That is pretty nice to me and makes me feel very welcome. Place got a little busy around 11 on a Saturday but I still could get some reading in. There’s parking in the rear.
We just happened to stumble on this place while scrolling through places to eat on Google Maps and I am happy that we did. This restaurant is super clean, has a friendly staff that remembers your name, and the food is amazing. I had the classic pulled pork sandwich and I almost fell out of my chair it was so good. Highly recommend and we willl be finding more excuses to make our way down here again.
Great place! Great burgers and the best BLT ever! You cant go wrong eating here!
The best breakfast in town. They have a variety of offerings, and their beignets are amazing. Great food, great coffee, great atmosphere.
Fantastic food, always made from scratch by true Chef who is passionate about food! The staff is friendly, the portions are generous. This place never disappoints whether for breakfast or lunch. Insider tip, try the hamburgers!
Excellent customer service, and great food.
It wasn’t to bad, but I wouldn’t go again. We had breakfast and just didn’t really like it. It’s pretty crowded.
Some very good burgers
Ran by Matt French and family, so locally ran business. Great food, made fresh and to order! Amazing atmosphere, with art from local artists.
This place is amazing, the food here is great!! The burgers are outstanding. I wish they still had the duck sandwich tho :(
This place was great! I recently ate there for the first time and was so surprised. I got the burger, there isn’t much to say about it except it was the best burger I’ve had in months. Whatever sauce they used on it gave it a mouthwatering vinegar taste. I will definitely be coming back.
First time at this place. Rosemary pulled chicken sandwich was delicious. The bread was amazing & I liked that there were no fries or chips that came with it. Sandwich by itself was plenty.
Great service, Lovely people, really good knowledge of gluten-free options. Lots of Cajun, gulf coast and Louisiana favorites. Would highly recommend checking this local eatery out if you live here if youre just passing through!
Warm pumpkin ginger scone served with yummy cream -- absolutely wonderful! But little kids may not appreciate the bits of real ginger studded throughout -- this is maybe a grownup treat. The gelato or the beignets would make any picky eater happy, though! And, as always, the best iced tea!
Great local place to have lunch.
Came for breakfast. We had the Caprese and Denver bowls, black tea and pumpkin scone with my wife. Pleasant atmosphere, good food. Try their roasted potatoes. They are very thinly cut and crispy. The eggs are good as well!Suggestion: I think this place can really bank if it opened somewhere on the water around here. Its a bit of a hassle pulling off John sims if you are heading towards the base. Parking lot is on the side of the building.
Very very good food! And I love the mural on the side of the building!
Great prices. Great food. Great service. Nice central location in Niceville near the college.
Absolutely Fantastic!!! Supurb!!! Food, Service, Cost!!!!😊❤🙏🤚
Fast, hometown food! The meatlovers lover bowl is great!Coconino coffee is great, too. Banana, chocolate, & coconut flavor is #1!
First time here. Had a diverse menu with a lot of great options. Had some sandwiches, sweet potato chips, and some boston creme coffee (recommended). Staff was kind and answered questions.
Such a fantastic little spot! The Bahn Mi sandwich and salad are my favorite things on the menu. So good! The staff is friendly and food comes out fresh, delicious and quick. Definitely give them a try.
Cuban sandwich was delightful. Beignets were a little over fried (almost too hard to bite/cut into). Counter service was friendly, lady calling names for food pick up - not so much. I ordered beignets after lunch, to eat in, she brought out two orders, one to go, one to eat in. She threw my bag at me and said yours are to go. I said I thought I had ordered to eat in. She yelled, “yours are to go. I was told one for in and one to go”. I was momentarily taken back by the way she spoke to me and probably looked confused. She could have easily offered a plate. We were also at the end of the lunch crowd so there were only a couple tables in there, all with food. Not a restaurant in town good enough to be spoken to like that!
Have showed up twice now to get coffee and told they were closed for the day before time posted on the door. So today I went across the street to a place with the same hours and got coffee. Won’t be trying Cafe Bienville again.
Great food at a fair price. Authentic flavors and homemade. Try the muffalatta, its amazing!
Very good. Love the atmosphere!
I was so excited to try this new place. Food is delicious and service is wonderful. A nice relaxed atmosphere that is good for a quick bite or a longer more leisurely meal. Gumbo is exceptional!! A pleasant surprise that is a fav among locals
Is what it is.Healthy and quick food.Priced as expected.Simple self serve.Could use some visual improvements. Its just a place with great food. The large menu variety will bring me back. And the lady that served me was adorable.
My absolute favorite place to eat lunch. The food is so good and their sweet potato chips are the bomb! I love looking at all of the art on the wall or hanging out on the patio to eat with my friends. Amazing, one of a kind, delicious. I recommend the Cuban sandwich with the black beans and rice or the gumbo. Best black beans and rice Ive ever had and the gumbo is so good! Get you a belly card and save some money too!
Went to the Story House tonight ... dinner beforehand at Cafe Bienville. Absolutely wonderful experience. Great dinner. And, the show was superb!
Love this place! Food is always delicious and owners are great to talk too! Recommend the bread pudding and nitro coffee!
Great service! Excellent menu!! Delicious coffee/espresso!!!
First, let me thank the staff at the Cafe for accommodating our small working group with the back room. They were terrific. We came right in and started with the coffee. Nothing better than drinking a good cup of coffee from a real cup and not paper or Styrofoam. Great coffee! We ordered the egg bowl and it was very tasty. One in our party had the BLT with an egg i believe and he loved it.I am always looking for a local place for breakfast and i have found my new favorite in Niceville. Definitely worth stopping in and giving it a try! I will be back and soon!
This is a great Cafe in Niceville, FL on State Hwy 20. It is open for breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday. On Saturday the hours are shorter and closed on Sunday. It is owned and operated by a very Christian family that is friendly and enjoys what they do. The food is very good and not the usual items. The atmosphere is friendly and conducive to visiting or working if you want to.
Great lunch spot. All your NO favorites are available. Could use a little stronger AC in the summer but Ill deal with it for the quality of the food.
I love this New Orleans style Café with its friendly atmosphere and great food at incredible prices. I love the pulled pork sandwich on the French baguette with thinly sliced onion and spring lettuce medley is delicious. Order side of sweet potato chips to share with your friends. I know you will enjoy anything from the menu. Great food at a great price!!!
The best restaurant in Niceville! Just the right portions, great coffee, world class beer selection, fast and friendly service. The muffeletta sandwich was the best Ive ever eaten.
Great food with fantastic service in this cozy and welcoming cafe. The chicken salad is really good with fresh rosemary and not to sweet at all. The Expresso was fabulous and their sweet potato chips are freshly made and a standout for sure. Highly recommend this little slice of New Orleans right in Niceville.
Love this place. Their new gluten free buns are amazing!
Food was great. Beignets were fantastic. Nice to have a decent New Orleans style option in the FL panhandle.
Very friendly, clean place, delicious food!!!
The food was wonderful and the service even better. If we had another morning we would have come back. The beignets are huge and fluffy. The coffee is made to order. The oatmeal scramble was unique but delicious!
Seriously the most amazing restaurant ever. I cant explain how good their food is, you must try it. Save room for the bread pudding. Family atmosphere where they kmow your name and what you like to eat.
I go to this Cafe frequently with a bunch of my lady friends. Its our favorite coffee Spot. The owners are friendly. We love the food. They have a variety of Beverages and coffees that we enjoy. Atmosphere is friendly and cozy!
Pulled chicken sandwich was the best I ever had. The bread and ingredients were tasty and fresh and herb mayo was spot on. Didnt care for the gumbo, tho. House-made Caramel Latte was delicious. Very friendly staff, short wait for food as well. Will definitely be back!
Staff was polite and the food was really good; their specialty coffees were also super yummy. Also, their beignets were delicious!(edit) their coffee is *okay.* it tastes kind of watered down.
Added a star because the coffee was decent. If you want eggs, scrambled is the only way they make them. Asked if I could get them over medium and was given a loud, stern NO. Toast wasnt toast but cut up pieces of a baguette. Not bad though. If you want more breakfast options besides scrambled eggs or a bowl of oatmeal though, maybe try elsewhere.
Excellent burger and potatoes served quickly.
Best coffee, pick any coffee you want and itll be delicious! Customer service is phenomenal, environment is so pleasant. Melissa is super nice and never say no to the bread, it is to die for. I would give it 10 stars if I could
Lunch time BUSY, FOOD, Service,Desert and Coffee.Everything is Great. Will go back every week. Have not had anything BAD. Get to goes all the time. THANKS HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO EVERYONE AND BE SAFE.
1st timer, the food was delicious as was the coffee..
