I found a gun I was searching out for a customer of mine. I spoke to Katelyn on the phone and she handled my FFL and tax exempt info LIKE A PRO! She indicated that shed get the gun ready to be shipped ASAP. To my SURPRISE the gun showed up TODAY! NEXT DAY! It was in the afternoon that I even PLACED the order. What a positive experience! I visited a couple of the Castle locations years ago when my sister was attending UK (long before I was in the pawn business myself) and remember being impressed by the operation then. My first, and last, purchase from this establishment was an astonishing disappointment. I bought four, fifty round boxes of 9mm ammunition to be shipped 1150 miles away, and it was packed in a plastic bag. Its almost like the person who packaged the items has never personally received a shipment through FedEx, UPS, Amazon, or the Post Office. Not even the courtesy to find a small box and securely package $95 worth of a customer order. Needless to say the bag was ripped and squashed and some of the contents were rendered unusable. Wow! How ignorant does a shipping department or store manager have to be to think this is a secure way to ship ammunition? I have a feeling in their response, if they leave one, will be to say its the fault of FedEx. Id like to get out in front of that with the fact this company is the type where once the credit card payment clears, their commitment to the customer becomes a hell with you, we have your money already type of sentiment. On the bright side a week after I placed the order they sent me an email offering the same ammo for $25 per box of 50. I just paid $17.98 a box so I have that going for me. Rip off service, and management couldnt care less. Hell with you, right back at ya Castle.

Great prices, products, and service. Placed order on a Friday, it was received at FFL on Sunday in perfect new condition. Can not beat that.

I recently purchased a 1300 diamond ring, on the same day I purchased a $529 gun and a 188 dollar necklace. I took the ring to 2 different pawn shops just to see if I got screwed and they only offered me 100 bucks for the ring. So please be careful when buying jewelry from them. They claim to be the best but as I found out the hard way theyre not.also the sales people will lie to you and tell you they will give you 2/3 back but in reality they only give you 1/3 beware

I am a competition shooter and I tried to purchase a rifle from this company off the internet. 4 or 5 days after hearing nothing and trying to purchase it I finally reached someone from this company(by finding their number through an internet search) and they hung up on me multiple times as I heard the girl saying teen type statements towards her phone. After that they did not try to call me again so I finally asked them to just cancel my purchase. Which seems very reasonable considering their performance up to that point. Im sure shipping would have been the next problem…At that point they tried to tell me I would have to pay approx 200$ cancellation fee….for me not wanting to deal with any more of their incompetence and disregard.They then reported me to the auction site as a non pay buyer(which I am not) that would get me suspended if they werent in the wrong(which they are). They dont even bother to call me or better have the owner or a manager call me and attempt to straighten it out when they screw up but instead attempt to do something harmful to the customer. Business’s and individuals who operate without ethics are part of what is wrong with this country these days.Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs and hope they go out of business.

HIGHLY recommend!!! Much much better than the other pawn shop next door (I wont even do them the honor of mentioning their name). Great selection of firearms at fair prices. All employees Ive talked to here are very kind and knowledgeable. When Ive sold to them, they gave me a fair price (and were diplomatic about some family heirlooms they wouldnt take).

This place is terrible, very unhelpful many times prices are ridiculous. The atmosphere foremost is just not welcoming, no cheerful smiles just people you can tell do not really want to be here. The lighting is terrible its like a dungeon. Nope nope and nope will not go back here I have been many times so its not just a one time tjing.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They have a great selection of firearms and are almost always willing to strike a deal with you to lower the price. Highly recommend if you are looking for a good deal on ammo and guns. I have had a couple bad bumps in the road after purchasing but they are always willing to fix the issues.

Awful customer service I went in to get a value on a 1k dollar diamond ring they offered me $75 trade in. I said that’s fine whatever and then I went to buy an item and they said it wasn’t in their inventory so they couldn’t sell it to me. They must just not want any customers

Not the largest Castle pawn in Kentucky, however the staff is very friendly and they have a full time jewelry repair tech on site, If your looking for a bargain on gold, silver and guns I would stop by and check them out when you get a chance.

First time biding at auction at Gunbroker.com for a 590 Shockwave 20 gauge with TheCastleArms.com as the vendor. My bid was successful, but the item shipped did not conform to the description. When contacted vendor about the misidentification of the item, the vendor offered to rectify the misidentification with either an adjustment to the price or a full refund given the confusion over the description. The courtesy extended to me merited both the rating above and my recommendation for doing business with The Castle Arms.com.

I recently purchased a gun from here and had it shipped to Nashville, TN. This was my first time ever doing this and I was concerned. The gun arrived with some minor scratches, but when you spend $1300 on something you expect it to be perfect. Mike was nice and refunded $50, and told me the scratches happened when they take the guns off the shelf at night. I wish I would have been warned before I purchased the weapon about the scratches and I could have taken a different route.

Horribly disappointed and upset with our first and only transaction with The Castle. My husband and I went in on 4/6 to purchase a lawn mower. The young lady helping us told us she could give us a discount on any mower we chose. After picking one out, she said then she couldnt give us a discount. We specifically asked if the mower worked. She said yes. While trying to ring us up, a gentleman employee came over and said he couldnt get that mower to work. Strike one, the lady lied to us to make a sale and didnt offer a discount like she said. So we asked the gentleman about another mower. He said that one did work. We took his word on it and bought it. Shame on us for trusting their word. We get the mower home and it wont start. We put in fresh gas, cleaned carburetor, bought new plugs, and watched countless tutorials on how to fix this thing. We couldnt get it to work. So the next day, we took the mower back WITH the receipt. The woman there first told us it was sold as-is. We said the woman who sold it to us yesterday said we could bring it back with a receipt. So she then offered us a store-credit only. We were willing to pay another $30 for the other mower in exchange. So we took the other mower outside and it wouldnt work either!!! So we asked about a total refund and they insisted on store credit only. So while in the store, I called around to find a repair man. Every quote we got JUST TO DIAGNOSE the problem was more than we paid for the mower itself!! So now we are stuck with a mower that doesnt work, that weve already put money into trying to fix it. Thanks for selling us a piece of junk, The Castle, and not standing by customer service.Shame on you. Stay away from this business! They sell broken equipment and LIE!!

Ive never had a problem from any of the staff, theyre always nice and considerate. Ive been going to them for years. Ive never felt judged when Ive had to pawn stuff, even if Id been there the day before. Theyve always given me a good price on my stuff. I definitely would recommend.

Pawned a xbox one x 1tb for 125$ two months ago.It was in pawn costed 25$ each month for interest.When I picked it up costed me 50$ extra when it should of been 25$So it was a 175$ when it should of been 150$Ive spent a few thousand dollars at this location financed over 3k worth of gold !The last few times me and my husband came to this location.We was treated poorly we will not do.buisness here again !!!!

Went in last weekend to look at a gun I have also bought a gun from this location. Was told what I can do by a nice man. Then was rudely told by some older lady I couldnt do that today. She was very hostile with her attitude. In a business as the pawn business which I have worked in. There is a right way to tell people to make them understand then there is a wrong way. How she came off and spoke to me was very unprofessional.

I hate stupid people making idiotic claims. You^^^^had the option to test the weedeater before you left the store. They always offer that option to every customer. You wait a week and then want your money back? Idiot. to the second person every pawn loan is 90 days. You owe interest every 30 days, its not their fault your to stupid to understand the same rules every pawn shop follows.

Me and my boyfriend usually always get my holiday jewelry (Valentines, birthday) from here, and theres always a sale and great deals on holidays. Downside: NO TAKESY BACKSEYS. Make sure what you purchase is what you want bc you can not return anything. At the most you can do a 30 day trade in.
