Great store- just wish they would choose another name as to not make me confused as my name is Michael. Maybe a name that is not as common would be better, like Eugene or Mitchell. While I was in the store, I was confused multiple times by people who I thought were saying my name even though I live out of town. I grew up around the area, so I thought it was possible someone could have been calling my name, but it turned out they were just saying the name of the store. I never had that problem at hobby lobby, but Ive also never met someone named hobby, but I have met one bobby and one lobby. The fella named lobby was strange l, but very nice. Even with all the confusion, I do prefer Michaels more. I just wear headphones when I walk in so I dont think anyone says my name.Ps: I had problems at hobby lobby with people talking about Michaels (the craft store,, not my house), which made me lower the rating for hobby lobby. They also had too many lights. I also thought their automatic doors opened too slowly. Otherwise, its fine.Another thing about Michaels is its near a Buffalo wild wings, which is convenient. Some people refer to it as bw3s, but Im not sure why. I like getting the spicy garlic sauce because I like spice and I like garlic. Nit sure why- maybe it stems back to my childhood because my mom always used to give me spicy food. But I love eating the spicy garlic sauce after shopping at Michaels. The other thing is bw3 aka bdubs aka buffalo wild wings is way less likely to have people talking about Michaels, so its not confusing.Also, be sure to go to Michaels before bdubs if youre eating wings because they sometimes get messy. I usually use the wet wipes, but it can still get sloppy.

Went in there to compare to hobby lobby where i usually go but no one would help me find epoxy and once i did find the epoxy by myself it was $15 more than hobby lobby and the small container was the same price as hobby lobbys big container of epoxy. Double the amount for the same price... You know i walked down to hobby lobby to get my epoxy.

Ive always enjoyed going to Michaels & this one is no different than the others. Tons of crafts, flowers, yarn, kid friendly crafts, etc. I like their variety & that they are not as big as their crafty neighbor... more intimate & you can always find an employee to point the way.

We are having a picture framed for our daughter. This is the first time weve ever had something professionally framed. The lady who helped us, (I wish I would have gotten her name) was phenomenal!!!! She answered all of our questions, was so patient, helpful, kind and knowledgeable!!!! Michaels is the only place we will ever go now!!!

I love this store! I could get lost in here for hours, there are so many shiny things to look at. Seriously though, there’s always an employee ready to answer any questions, they have great coupons, and a good selection of craft items and decor.

Great selection. Have a ton of clearance in back on frames and home decor. Staff helpful and pleasant. Little pricy on some items. Everyday value items are reasonable. Having the free membership gets you coupons to bring big tickets items down to better price.

I bought small things there the other day. Needed one of them today and realized that the grouchy cashier did not put what I paid for in my bag. Receipt shows I paid for it and it was the last one. Very rude staff.

To many items with no prices . had to have price checks 3-4 times.

I came in to get some Framing, and it wasnt easy, because I had to match some old frames that I bought at Michaels many years ago. Abigail was terrific. She got me exactly what I wanted, the price was reasonable, and I am very pleased with not only my purchase, but also, how quick and easy it was to get what I wanted. Great service, great prices, and a fantastic product. and this was on the Sunday right after Black Friday, and before Cyber Monday, so you know if your staff is working this hard between the big sales of the holiday weekend, you know theyre good. And the discounts? How about 70% off? The only problem for Michaels is, I saved so much money itll be hard for them to give their staff a raise ---and they deserve one. Great job - Ill be back!

With all the big craft stores trying to mimic their competitors they are losing their identity. Competition is good. Its what makes capitalism so great. But with companies buying our their competitors you lose completion and variety. So you go to a store that once had a good selection of what you were looking for. Now they all have small amounts of everything but very little selection.I sure hope things turn around or the consumers will go more to online shopping and more brick and mortar stores will close.

Michaels has a range of arts and crafting supplies, including harder to find hobbies, like candle making. They always have great coupons available. Theres lessons you can take. And quality seasonal products are available.

I was horrified by my experience in this store today. The manager (Glenn) acted in a very threatening way towards my son and myself. I was in the bead aisle and my 11 year old was in my line of sight with his brother. He sat down on a shelf (which he was wrong in doing) but what transpired after was completely shocking. This manager came at my son and told him to get off the shelf very meanly. As my son was getting up he lost his balance and sat back down briefly to gather himself. The manager had started to walk away but then turned, walked back and very aggressively said “did you not hear what I just said” and pushed my son off the shelf. At this point I looked over (he didn’t realize I was watched the entire event unfold). I said to him at this point, if you have a problem address it with me, I’m the parent. He said I already addressed it with him and he’s old enough to know better. His tone and attitude continued as he further yelled at my son and I said once again, address me, DO NOT TALK TO MY KIDS, I’M THEIR PARENT! At this point my kids are in shock as the manager comes down the aisle in a threatening manner with his shoulders and finger waving in my face. I’m usually pretty self restrained but at this point I found myself in an defensive stand unsure of what he would do next. He yelled at me for a couple minutes and then took off to the front of the store. The couple the next aisle over were in disbelief over the entire event. I had over $200 worth of merchandise in my hands and shop in Michaels stores regularly as a jewelry business owner. I cannot believe how my sons and I were treated today. I called the corporate office but was told the district manager would be in touch with me since he was the Niles store manager. I am still in shock and disbelief over the entire event.

Cashier was not friendly... did not say hello or have a nice day. I spoke to the manager about something else entirely and guess what, he was even ruder than the cashier...... no thanks, Ill go next door to hobby lobby for all my crafting needs. They have a better selection anyway :)

Needing something special or unusual on that hobby youre working on? Well, youve found the store to get it! They have everything from soup to nuts for hobby supplies or artsand crafts. I was looking for elastic for the kids to string plastic gems on for bracelets and they carried many different types to use and in multitudes of different gagues. Great place to bring your kids to so they can pick out their next project. Look for valuable coupons in the paper to use on your next purchase!

If this is Michaels furniture.... Best place to buy furniture.... Most of our furniture comes from there.... Monthly payments are cheap and within a year its paid off.....

At just days before Christmas with a lot of retail workers growing impatient or downright clueless about what their store carries, I was pleasantly surprised at attentiveness of an employee. when I asked if the store carried a specific product, the employee not only said they had it, she took the time to take me to the aisle it was in! I have not been getting that from other stores!

I had a wonderful experience at Michaels! My husband took me there to pick out my Christmas gift. He and my friend knew I wanted a cricut, but they didnt want to get the wrong one. I wasnt sure about some of the tools and accessories so I asked an employee. She went above and beyond to get all the answers I needed. If she didnt know the answer she looked it up for me, and she was nice to us the entire time. I should mention that she was in the middle of stocking when I started asking questions, but she was still so patient with me. I ended up getting the cricut maker, several accessories, and the knife blade.

Loads of stuff. Almost as anything you need for. crafting. It was understaffed when I was there. I had to hunt for someone to help me. I have been there several times and this was the first time it was like that.
