We wanted some different lattice fencing to create a more decorative fence, not just a wall of wood. We also wanted a little privacy fence in the corner. Jaacks was great on working with my design and installing it. We discussed the alignment of the sections as the yard had a slight include and resolved it easily as well as following the slightly odd lot line perfectly. Passed the village inspection easily. The fence sections look great and will be the basis for other landscaping!!

Wonderful experience from start to finish. We had other estimates and either they missed the appointment, showed up late or didnt get back to us. The Rustic people were on time and professional with everything and took great care with the neighbors things along the fence we were replacing. Great clean up and we have a gorgeous privacy fence. Will be looking forward to seeing how it holds up!

I was initially pleased with my experience with this company, but buyer beware, once they have your money they will not stand behind their work. The initial quote and bid process was professional and efficient. The installation crew was friendly and seemed to install a beautiful fence. I just wish I had known to inspect their work more carefully before the final payment.Less than two months after the fence was installed, we had our first winds over 20mph. One of the gate latches ripped off. Upon further inspection it was clear why the post split - the screws were placed merely 3/8ths of an inch from the edge. I inquired about a repair and was told it would be $350 to replace with labor. Surprised by such a high repair cost, I asked for just the matching cedar board so I could replace it myself, but they still wanted to charge me $12 for the material. I get it - its only $12 - but after spending nearly six grand on a fence and having it break a matter of weeks later, I was disappointed they wouldnt stand behind their work.If you contract with them, youll get a nice looking fence, but just know its your responsibility to look through every inch of their work and have them correct it before you pay in full or you will be stuck with the full cost of future repairs.

Just had a great experience with Rustic Wood in Niles. We have a broken part of our cedar fence on the gate and Bobby helped me obtain a precise replacement piece with zero headache. Very friendly people in back as well. They cut a small piece of the tip off on top of the French gothic picket to make it match the rest of my fence. Met Bob the owner too - nice gentleman.

I do like this place, but unfortunately the office is currently closed due to COVID. That makes it difficult to get a quote for a replacement fence. There is a sign on the door listing a couple phone numbers to call, but I didnt have any success getting through.I am currently attempting to obtain a quote via email communication. Ill see how that works out.

Rustic Fence in Niles IL was professional from the beginning. The office staff was more than helpful in briefing me on my options while speaking on the phone to them prior to them even coming out for an Estimate. I met with their estimator and he gave a very detailed quote while he was at the property. The crew installed a beautiful #1 Grade Western Red Cedar Fence at my house and it looks great. Their workmanship is un-matched and the pergola structure on my gate looks awesome and added some curb appeal to my house. Very great place to work with and would recommend the experience to anyone.

We had a 6 white vinyl fence installed over two days April 7th and 8th, 2021. The past few days we were looking more closely at the finished product, and both my wife and I noticed that two of the posts that were in the yard, did NOT have any concrete in them. When I called, a woman initially tried dismissing it as Oh the concrete just settled and you cant see it. When I persisted that there was no concrete in the said posts, she asked me to take pictures and email them to Bob Jaacks. I did so, and within a minute or two, someone responded to my email saying, I assure you there is concrete in the post holes. My wife called immediately after this email response, left a message, and did NOT receive any return phone call. Someone called me about eight hours later, where I the was treated absolutely terrible. Completely rude, dismissive, and demeaning. Kevin, our salesman was exactly that, a salesman. Folks, I strongly encourage you NOT to waste your time or money on such terrible customer service and just average work. I removed the advertisement sign from the front of the fence and thew it in the garbage, along with the $6,000.00 we wasted on such a terrible company. We did initially refer two additional customers, who we advised to not use this company. Vinyl fencing is the same wherever you go, it is strong, excellent fence material, so spend your hard earned dollar elsewhere.

Raymundo and Jose were very professional and highly skilled. My fence job wasnt huge but they made sure I understood what was going on. They kept the social distancing in mind and were very courteous. They also cleaned up did an incredible job. Highly recommend. They are not the most expensive company out there, nor are they the cheapest but you get a really good finished product in the end and all the office staff had great communication through email and phone. I am very pleased with the whole process.

Left a giant mess of concrete aggregate and waste in front of my garage. I did not even use the ; my neighbor did. I’ve called them twice to clean up the mess, no response. Their fence also doesn’t appear to be level, so I’d avoid them unless you want an askew, crooked fence and a huge mess in your yard.

Like many people here said - these guys dont care about the quality of the job or if you have complaints after they leave. Sales person was horrible and the installer was rude and didnt clean up after themselves. Put the fence in wrong the first time because the sales person doesnt care or show up, then he blamed the installer, Installer was rude to other contractors stepped all over our new cement, refused to cover it up with materials we offered, and didnt take care our property or the neighbors. These guys are priced really high and I went with them on two fences because i thought their quality would be better but it wasnt. Terrible experience and you can get a better fence for less money and deal with how incredibly rude and uncaring these people are. Stay away from them if if can avoid it. There are plenty of people out there who do great work and arent a--holes!

Had my fence replace less than 5 months ago and I suddenly notice that the lattice work on the top was coming apart from the posts in 6 of the 9 fence sections. I called immediately and was told by a rude person to send photos ( which I did) and never got back to me. 1 week later I send a follow up email from Bobby Jaaks who said they never got the message. I forwarded the original email and Bobby responded that I either fix it myself or it would cost me $250.00 for a service call. I sent him a response stating that he should honor his company’s warranty. No response so I had it fixed and was told the wrong size nails were used and in certain locations no even nailed in place. I have used them from over 30 years and I guess the next generation of owners don’t care about their reputation

3 hrs late for repair call. A repair btw that is $250 to just come out, independent of repair cost. You heard right, but so be it, we needed repair.I Called 3 times in 4 hrs and they told me on way. One to affirm time, rest where are you.Finally after 3 hrs I told them to take $100 off because they were charging $250 just to come out. He said cant do that. I said sir you are 3 hours I late, unacceptable for me to just be waiting with no notification and to not give something off $250 service visit fee. He told me to do it myself, to which I told him what he can do to himself.Btw, a lot of the top lattice is falling off 5 year old $6000 fence and we wanted of course to repair.This is the type of customer service this company gives.Worthless!!!!!!

Overall very impressed with the quality of the fence they installed. It was a big more expensive but my houses original fence was done by them over 30+ years ago so decided to use them again. Communication has been an issue and we had to deal with trash being left in neighbors yard as well as my own. Overall still quite happy with the fence.

These people are professionals in every way. They came, they proposed and the executed on time, within budget and the fence looks great. Rudy did a fantastic job in helping us decide and Ruben came out to finish the job. Gina and Randy were a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely recommend them for their work. We got bids from a couple of companies-and Rustic Wood was the best priced, least pushy and best organized of the group.

Excellent quality work, efficient and professional interaction from start to finish. No fuss, delays or gratuitous communication. Just simple, good quality product. Highly recommended.

Had a privacy fence done last year around this time in August. Never really got to the review part. I like how it looks for the most part the guys worked hard. However, the job wasn’t completed, I called about this and the guy on the phone told me to stick a 2 X 4 to block off the part that wasn’t covered by the fence. Ummm no, I paid to have a privacy fence and your company should do it not me. Anyways I had a quote done for a deck and they were ridiculously over price. Needless to say, I would shop around.

Pricey but some Beautiful fences

The crew just finished our brand new cedar fence with two gates and two levels of fencing. My wife and I are very delighted with the look and the quality of the fence itself and the workmanship involved in constructing it. We shopped around and not only decided this firm had the best quality product, but a very fair price. The square lattice we chose very much complements the Craftsman style of our Chicago Bungalow.

This place is horrible! Their customer service is below subpar.I set up an appointment for this company to come out on this Thursday, a day which I rearranged my whole schedule. My appointment was for 900am. By 930am still no show, so I decided to call and inquire. Their so called manager told me I wasn’t scheduled. He was rude and really didn’t care to hear it as he put the blame on me. As I tried to explain, he kept interrupting and said do you want to make an appointment or not? I did have one for today according to our conversation on Monday of this week. If you want to waste a day and listen to the so called rude manager then this is your place. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Very happy. The price wasnt the cheapest I got but the quality of the work is very good and the communication between everyone was great. Henrey the installer was always on time and polit it was a scorcher outside and they worked right through it. I would recommend this company.

I got a fence installed the workers broke the cable line all they said was sorry i had to call the cable company they said its not there job to take care of it they put one piece upside down and another one there is space i asked for them to come out and they said take pictures and send emails

The worst of small business mentalities. Once they have your money, they have no desire to help you. They install sub-optimal products and wont fix their own mistakes. As for city codes? Thats a hoop you have to jump through, but theyll build whatever they feel like and ask you to pay more to get it to code. A direct quote: how are we supposed to know the codes? Everything is built to fail so you can pay them more money.

Then I went and had them install a whole fence around the back yard, love the smell of real Red Cedar and 10 years later it ages a perfect natural grey to blend in.
