Lakeview has ALWAYS been there for me whenever I needed help or had boat issues. Everyone is nice and friendly there as well. Give them a shout if youre looking for a boat or just have questions. They will certainly do what they can to satisfy your needs
Having purchased from Lakeview last summer they’ve done a nice job servicing and winterizing and storing over the winter. When we were ready to have the boat prepped and launched for the summer Amy was very accommodating and had our boat delivered and launched at the courtesy dock as promised.Great job. Thanks
I have business with LakeviewMarina for 20 years. Amy, Jeff, Jr. and entire team has always provided great service. Always responsive when I’ve had an immediate problem.
I recently traded boats at Lakeview Marine. I dealt with the owner, Jarret. Our negotiations went on for most of two weeks due to the fact I was researching and talking to two other dealers. Jarret was very patient with me. He answered all of my questions and even took the time to call the manufacturer to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. All of Lakeview’s employees that I encountered were polite and professional. I can’t say enough about my experience. Jarret’s a great guy and I will definitely recommend Lakeview and Portside to my friends.
Great service and Great People! Highly recommend!
After asking for a service appointment I was told first come first serve and to bring it in right away. Dropped boat off per instructions. Followed up 3 days later and service said they are at least 6 weeks out and I should make an appointment, which is what I tried to do in the first place. Told them I would come pick up my boat (I use it just about year round) and make an appointment. When I went to pick my boat up they had left it outside for a week during heavy rains and my boat had a foot of water in it! Apparently they didnt bother to check if I had pulled my drain plug (which I dont do until after January) The gentlemen didnt bother to help me drain the boat, didnt apologize for the issue, and were very, very rude!!!! Said I should know better to pull my plug and drove off while saying good luck. Bought my boat at Portside, prior to the merger, and had a great experience but this merger doesnt appear to be very good. Everyone is rude and condescending. The Portside folks were never rude! By the way I have been boating all my life so I am not a novice.
Great place. Great people. I was there right before closing and they still let me look around. Also ordered a replacement key and was helped with instructions on how to use the flushing attachment I purchased.
Went to get a part for my “small” Mercury outboard. Not familiar with boat part lingo, but described what I needed. Person in office looked on computer for a bit..to no avail. The a gentleman sat down and looked.. same outcome. Then a big fancy Donzi pulls in. Gentleman told office person “ just print this off for him to take. Then he can let us know what he needs.” All attention went to the “big fancy boat” and I was on my own. They all went outside to tend to their needs. Sorry for bothering you with my “little motor” problem.
The only place for sales and service. #buylocal
Jeff Jr. Is the man you need to see if you want a boat or any type of water craft. Very knowledgeable and not pressuring at all. He even made an extra trip to make sure we had what we needed! Go there now!
Wow, absolutely terrible experience. List would go on and on. Not only dont come here but run away.- Cant hook up boat correctly-Rude 4 out of the 5 people ( who all say they own the business)- dont know how to run diagnostics( said it takes weeks, took it somewhere else and they ran it after being there 3 days, took 5 minutes and now parts are ordered)- push you to the end of the line after waiting 7.5 weeks- want to charge you storage if you dont pick up your boat the same day you say you will just take it somewhere else-
Very poor service when I went to get work done. The staff was not welcoming whatsoever to my business and seemed as if it was not a priority to them. I tried to get answers about my boat and was left with no more information than I went there with. I will not be taking my business here in the future.
Very helpful and good service. Jerry was a pleasure to work with!
Do yourself a favor and do NOT go to this shop for repairs.
Great place to get fishing license. Everything you need to go fishing with friendly staff to assist you .And you could even get your boat fixed.
Lakeview Marine and Portside Marine have just combined into one Marina under the same ownership. We bought our new Monterey boat from Portside Marine in early 2019 before they sold to the new owners and before the fire. My sales experience at Portside was phenomenal and things have only gotten better! Through the sale of the Marina, the transfer of everything, the fire and the new acquisition my experiences with everyone have exceeded any expectation I could imagine. This world would be a better place if every business would model their customer service after what I have experienced here. After Portsides building burnt last fall they had a bit of a battle with insurance on the building. They started looking for a new location and in that search they landed at Lakeview Marine through an acquisition sale. Today was my first experience at the new location and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a table for our boat and while I was waiting for the table to be delivered so I could pick it up what I thought was an idle pulley started making noise. I called about it and was told I could bring it with me when I picked up the table, which was already in. They checked it while I was there, made a ticked, ordered parts and said they would call when it came in. I informed them of a trip I have coming up and the assured me it wouldnt be a problem to have it done for my trip.I really cant say enough good things about this place. I dont know what make they will continue to have on their signs but regardless of what the sign says, the sales and service are second to none!!
One of the best places to purchase a boat or have yours worked on. The mechanics at the Marine are certified and trained so if you want it done and done right - this is the place to go. Very competent employees, they will bend over backward to accommodate your needs if possible. Wouldnt go anywhere else!
Service manager was very rude. They took the seat off and said we can not work on this, there is no battery in it and there is oil in the bottom. She wanted two hours labor to clean it. I said leave it. I will pick it up. They charged me 89.00 just because they can. They did not tell me what was wrong with the jet ski, but didnt mind charging me. It took me 10 mins to wash the oil out. RIP OFF PLACEThe women in charge of service must be related to the owner. She should be fired.
The service department is fantastic. My seadoo twin engine jet boat needed serious care for water logged engines and they had top notch expertise to get my boat serviced fast. They were very careful and thorough in diagnosing the cause and in doing the repairs.
So you call this place to wait six weeks to get your boat in. If it’s not something quick that they can take you to the bank on they put you to the end of the list. They threaten to charge you storage when you tell them you want to take it somewhere else. Ever person is a “owner” very rude would not recommend. Take your business to someone else.
Front desk lady was very rude and disrespectful. Could not repair my watercraft in a timely manner
DO NOT TRUST. I took my boat into this place to have a couple repairs done. They quoted me $2,500. They told me I needed to replace certain parts and that the labor would take upwards of 9+ hours. I told them money was very tight right now and I really did not want to have to do any unnecessary repairs. They assured me that was the best they could do. I scheduled to bring the boat back a few days later for them to begin the repairs, because they told me they would be able to get to it in 3 days. When I brought the boat back I dropped it off after hours. The next day I called to make sure the boat got in. I spoke with the owner and he was extremely rude to me. He said they might be able to get to it in a couple weeks. I was very frustrated that they had told me they would begin work in 3 days and now they are saying weeks... and being jerks about it. I decided to take it to another marina to get the work quoted because something felt off with Lakeview Marina....GUESS WHAT HAPPENED!!!! The next marina I went to quoted me a total of $800 and 4 hours (opposed to the $2,400 and 9 hours of labor) and they were able to repair the parts that Lakeview told me they had to replace.THEY TRIED TO RIP ME OFF AROUND $1,600 !!!!! :OAVOID THIS PLACE
Ive taken my boat and trailer here several times for service. Always been happy with the service, and the location is pretty much ideal for me. Winter storage (outside) is also fine. Noticed this week theyre building additional service bays, which should help with peak season service times (e.g. winterization, spring tune-ups, etc.).
An excellent team of seasoned professionals. Been in the biz for 30 years...and it shows. From sales to service...they are nothing but helpful and honest. In my experience, its not an easy task to find all of these qualities under one roof. Thank You...Lakeview!
Very friendly staff. Eager to help and answer your questions. Will return for all our boating needs.
Insensitive and rude! Don’t go here
Lakeview is now Portside Marine and they are great
My boat is in for repairs. The staff is very helpful and keeps me informed about the work.
Had an appointment and did not honor it but proceeded to keep my boat test drive it and tell me they had to push its further inspection back 4 weeks.
Excellent experience 110 percent satisfied with my experience thanks again Jeff will return in future for maintenance and next motor purchase
Found it to be an extremely easy experience purchasing my first pontoon...very professional place!
They will have had my seadoos 2 months on June 7, 2017. It is June 2nd today. The boats still arent finished and they sent me an email stating they are and have to provide service to customers with established sales and service history first. Apparently, they could care less about new people. Criticized my used boats as well, as if everyone should buy new. Worst customer experience that Ive ever had.
These people are complete crooks and their mechanics are an even bigger joke. Took my boat in for an oil leak, they quoted me $600 which $560 of was labor. I went with them because it seemed halfway reasonable. So after about 3 weeks of waiting I finally get a call that says the oil leak is fixed but your trim and speedometer aren’t working - Both we’re working when I dropped the boat off.Go and pick the boat up - and bring it home. Not only is the oil still leaking but they lost my bimini top and put it on another boat, they broke the electrical panel for my control switches, and they ripped the boat cover. After I confronted them about everything they told me it was like that when you brought it in and we aren’t responsible.Basically these people are not to be trusted and their mechanics (that they charge you $110 an hr for) are straight out of slingblade or deliverance.
Great marine service!
Friendly staff knowledgeable service department, my go to, for boat parts
Great family run business. They know boats and seadoos
Watch the accessories; went to pick up SeaDoo had to wait to program a key and they took advantage of the fact someone else came to pick it up and said buyer did not want cover: not true. Not a good experience.
ABSOLUTELY THE MOST RUDE AND OFFENSIVE PEOPLE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!!! NOT WORTH THE HARASSMENT- the general attitude, lack of customer care, and flat out verbal abuse received WAS INEXCUSABLE - I have worked in many sales positions and especially directly with owners of all types of businesses and I can tell you I have never been dealt with or been spoken to quite like the people of Lakeview Marina.Just because you have a semi-strong monopoly boat storage/repair location by a lake does not give you the right to deal with your paying customers the way you do, or talk to them in a demeaning manner. I have ended my business relationship with Lakeview Marina after spending $1,000s, and being let down. Even their own employee has told me he himself has issues with the owners.Make sure you understand the work being done before they do it, make sure they verbally explain all work before you agree to pay, or you will wind up like I did with Scotch Tape on your boat that reads Sterio.Luckily, my family intervened and ended the relationship on my behalf before I sent the case into an attorney friends office to handle. Sad story but this novice boater has learned many valuable lessons the hard way. SMH
Heard of a really bad experience here.
Sold me used boat and trailer but they did not have title for trailer. told me i can get title with bill of sale. they lied. bmv will not accept bill of sale. i can not get title
Not great service. Took forever just to buy a $20 part
Dropped boat off in September for winter storage, went to check in December and boat had not been touched. Will never deal with this marina again. Owners son said they were very busy and to take boat somewhere else
I trashed my jet ski and these guys fixed it like brand new. They are pricey but pretty good.
Lakeview Marina replaced the starter on my Starcraft deckboat that has a Mercruiser I/O. They over-torqued the starter bolts, and the starter fell out a few weeks later because the threads were stripped! Apparently Lakeview Marina doesnt use torque specs, or torque wrenches. Heck, they might not even know what torque specs are! They said theyd fix it, but so far Ive had to chase them down for updates because they havent called back when they said they would.Ill update this review when (if) they get it fixed.UPDATE: they fixed it on their own dime, also replaced a cracked distributor w/o charging labor for it. Took them a week and a half with July 4 holiday in the middle. Upping them from 1 to 3 stars for fixing their mistake.
Nice place, good selection of new and used boats
I love this place ..great place to work everyone is so nice..
Used Lakeview for several years - okay initially for routine work ($200-400) like winterization, but had significant issues with them when more serious work ($800-$2000) was needed. I have more details than folks typically want to read on these type of forums. I have since taken my boat elsewhere and had to have some of the Lakeview work redone. I found the owner to be rude and short at times and I just never felt I could trust what he was telling me. When we decided to part ways – I ask them for a copy of my past records and they wrote “ DO NOT RETURN” on my final paperwork. Finally the best advice they ever gave me – just wish it would have come sooner. Have not been back since – never will – and trust my new place immensely. So just beware of non-routine work. If sounds a bit odd – do yourself a favor and ask around for a second opinion.
Horrible place with very rude people
Great place, wonderful people!
Called to ask a question about an issue got a few words then they was done cut me off repeat what they said told me they are 125 dollars an hour had no interest in giving advice when not collecting money I just wanted to discuss my issue see what parts cost and labor was to fix my problem but didn’t have the time for me to even get that far in the conversation
Extremely rude and overpriced. Will never purchase another thing from this establishment. So sorry we spent our $ here. Buyer beware.
Horrible service
