What an amazing place to go to see. youll see how their beautiful custom made boots are made. their service is very friendly. I forgot the name of the friendly young man that helped us but hes the tallest Mexican youll ever meet. their boots are beautiful pieces of art as well as high quality items . My husband has a pair that he owned for 30 years and theyre still in perfect condition.
Paul Bond Boots has always been on my bucket list! I finally was able to get me a pair. Amazing quality! Took a bit to receive but nonetheless great craftsmanship and just what I wanted. Michael and Juan offered me great advise and customer service.
SERIOUS QUALITY CONTROL PROBLEMS!Got measured and picked out medium grain skin and the boots are much smoother than what I picked. Got the boots and there were some black stains on them. Sent them back to get it taken care of and received them back with a chalky substance on them. The inside heel pad of right boot was peeled up. Told them to fix and they did not. Right boot has nails inside that are not smoothed out. Right boot also has a lump just in front of my heel which hurts and the left is fine. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN!
Just received my custom boots. WOW! And then again...WOW!!! Thanks Michael! They fit like a glove right out of the box. And Ive never had so many compliments on a new pair of boots. I wear dress boots every day to work. Im a lawyer in San Antonio, Texas. Ive usually bought Lucchese, but Paul Bond custom is my go to Boot now.
Really wonderful people and craftsmanship at Paul Bond!!
Thanks Michael, Art, and Mike The boots fit great and look great. I’m very happy with them. Five star for sure!

To the owner of Paul Bond Boot Company,I bought my first pair of Paul Bond Boots in the early nineties. I met Mr Bond and my whole experience was excellent. I regret not investing in multiple pairs of boots back then. The company today is terrible... The last pair a year ago had to be redone three times. The left boot fit well. The right boot must have been made for someone else. It was loose enough that I could kick it off. I spoke to Art, the manager at the time and explained the fitting problem. I specifically told him to not change the left boot. Eventually they were shipped to me. This time the right boot fit and the left boot was loose. I can’t remember all the rambling excuses. The third time they came back the right boot was still the same. The left boot fit better but still looser than the right boot. Art was angry with me? “We can’t just keep re doing boots!” I told him I have a right foot and a left foot with five toes on each. This company has been making boots since 1946 and it’s my fault they don’t fit? Besides the fit, I had ordered the boots with no scallops. The boot tops were uneven and not even cut straight. I decided to keep the boots and order another pair.At this point my wife was also having problems with the making of her second pair of boots. I took the risk and gave a $648.90 cent deposit for another pair hoping these would turn out alright. Time went by with the usual excuses from Art. At some point I discovered he was not working there anymore. A Michael Ward was now the manager. I didn’t believe the situation could get worse. I wanted a plain roughout boot. A square toe, an 1 3/4 heel. and I asked for a 5 1/2” panel on the front boot top, With a inlaid 3 1/2” white 5 point star. I sent a picture of this star on a boot top by a company in El Paso. I told Michael Ward this is a picture of the star you can use as a reference. This star is not centered in the panel. Make sure it is centered. Later, Ward sent a picture of the boot top and the star was too small and not centered! He said he had it made like the picture. I said the shape is right. The star is smaller than what I asked for and I told you to make sure it is centered. It gets worse!I also asked for webbing pull straps. The boots back in the 50’s and earlier had these kind of striped webbing pull straps sewn inside the boot tops. No problem, Michael Ward said. He contacts me and tells me how he has found the perfect stripped webbing, an inch and a quarter wide. I asked him to send a picture. Marvelous, the exact same striped colors of the LGTBQ flag. You’ve got to be kidding me!!! He was not aware and apologized. I said forget the webbing, use your regular straps. He said he had run out of that leather and had it ordered. Time goes by and eventually he sent another picture of the boot tops. The star looked uneven, maybe it’s the angle the picture was taken? I’m thinking I should get my boots soon now. 2 months later, we have the welts on now. More time goes by and Ward tells me they will be ready in a week by Christmas. That didn’t happen. So I call after Christmas and left three messages over a two week period, with no response. The voicemail says, “We apologize for not being able to take your call. We will return your call promptly!” Next call I make he says my wife’s boots are ready. Two years and nine months later!!! Ward tells me my boots will be ready that day. I told him we will drive down from Prescott on Saturday. We want to see them first before we pay the balance. Ward asks me what time? I told him we will drive down on Friday and spend the night in Patagonia and be there at 9 am when they open. A five hour drive, one way. We arrive at 9 am, Saturday, two days ago. We waited till 10 am. We called every fifteen minutes and left messages on the company phone and Michael Wards phone. Nobody showed up.1:15 pm Monday as I write this now. No call from Michael Ward. My wife already has called her credit card for a refund of her deposit from almost three years ago. I will wait for the owner to contact me.
To the owner of Paul Bond Boot Company,DISGUSTING COMPANYMy husband Glynn and I arrived at Paul Bond Boot Company in Nogales at 9 am this past Saturday, January 11, 2020. Their business hours are from 9am to 4pm on Saturdays. Earlier that week Michael Ward, the manager, informed Glynn that my boots were ready and his boots would be ready that day. Glynn informed Michael Ward we would come down to Nogales from Prescott. AZ that Friday and spend the night in Patagonia. Michael Ward asked Glynn what time would we arrive on Saturday? Glynn told him 9am when they open. Michael Ward said the other Michael that works there will be there at 9am and Michael Ward will be there at 1pm. We waited till 10am at the locked gate. We both called the company phone number and Michael Wards cell number every 15 minutes and left messages. No one called us back. We had to leave to honor another appointment in Patagonia. We did receive a call later from the other Michael and he said he had a family emergency. No communication between the two Michaels of an emergency? Knowing full well after all the other problems we have had with this company that we would be there at 9am!The first pair of Paul Bond Boots I ordered did not fit and they did not use my choice of leather sample they sent me. The second attempt and the boots fit and it was the leather I chose. So I felt some confidence ordering a second pair.I showed Art, the manager at that time, a photograph I got off the web of a pair of boots I would like to have made. Art said they could do it no problem. I gave a deposit on November 21, 2017. Because its typically a long wait I called about a year later and inquire when my boots will be ready. Not long now, we are getting close to making them. More months go by and I call and speak to Art and he says they are having a problem with the design and have put them aside for the time being. More months go by and they still are having a problem with the design. So I decide to go through the websites of all the companies that make good quality boots. Rios of Mercedes, Rod Patrick, Anderson Bean, Lucchese and Old Gringo. Finally, I find the exact boot in the picture I had given to Art off the web. They had been made by Old Gringo Boot Company. I called the company and yes, they have them in my size. I bought the boots from a distributer somewhere in the $700 dollar range. A whole lot less expensive than Paul Bond. The boot though had been discontinued. So I decided to continue with Paul Bond making me the same boots.More time goes by and Art says can you send me more pictures of the boots, seeing you own a pair now? I decided I had waited long enough. Paul Bond Boot Company obviously cant do custom boots other than fit you with the boots in their catalog. So I asked the new manager, Michael Ward to go ahead and make me the Mariposa boots you have in your catalog. Maybe there wont be any more problems now. Other than them not returning calls and false promises of when the boots will be ready. Also, not abiding by their advertised business hours. My husbands problems with this company are even worse than mine... It really is very sad. We wanted the boots that this company was renowned for when Paul Bond owned and supervised the running of his business. So many people we know and keep coming across who will not use them anymore.Recently we discovered the owners of Paul Bond Boots is a father and daughter who do not reside in Arizona. There is the problem!!! Owners who reside out of state and pathetic management of their business.UPDATEI called Paul Bond Boots and spoke to the manager, Michael Ward. I asked for a receipt of the deposit that I am being reimbursed by my credit card company. Michael Ward rambled on about the boots, but no apology whatsoever. Acted like everything was normal. If you like to deposit hundreds of dollars with a company and not gain any interest for two years and three months and not even get your merchandise at the end of it. Then deposit your money with Paul Bond Boot Company!!!
Maybe if I was ZZ Top I would consider having a pair made. You need to be a boot afficianado to appreciate them. A walk around the store is interesting.
This is an amazing experience. We went down there about 5 years ago and had two custom pair of boots made for my wife. Just seeing how they measure and fit is a treat. I enjoyed just looking at all the production machinery, some approaching a century in age. Take the patience to do it right: applies to the customer as well as the workers. We had a problem with a boot about 3 years later, and they fixed it without charge. If you are into boots or custom leather, this is a must.
I happened upon this store when I was looking to have a custom gun holster made. What I found was the largest and most spectacular boot store I have ever seen. There were boots in every color and design imaginable. The staff was courteous and well informed about leather work. Even though I did not come in to buy boots, the staff treated me with the utmost respect and kindness. I was told by the sales staff that they did not carry what I wanted and personally walked me over to one of their leather craftsman to explain what I wanted done. He offered excellent advice and I was given a name and telephone number to a gentleman the leather craftsman knew. End result, I have my new leather gun holster exactly to my preference and Paul Bond Boots is where I will be shopping for my next pair of boots!
Best boots ever! And amazing store decoration. The hats are also extremely well made
I was skeptical about the ability to custom fit my foot. The fit turned out perfect and the boots are exceptional. Michael was a great help.
Wonderful staff...great service!!
Great quality but its almost like a goast
I went here due to my dad telling me he grew up wearing Paul bond boots! I video chatted him and got a tour. Very nice people
I just received my 7th pair of Paul Bond Boots. I have two pairs made from sharkskin, three from bull hide, one ostrich, and one roughout. They’re amazing. The construction is great and the fit is phenomenal! Thanks to Michael and the entire staff at Paul Bond Boot Co. . . . Dreaming about my next pair of Paul Bond Boots!
Art, great customer service, l believe he will get my Boots fixed !!
Love my new boots.
Cowboy Up!
Tailor made for you but very, very pricey
Awesome custom made boots.
Exceptional quality footwear
Distinctive and original place. Here, boots are made to measure and people come from afar to shop. It is not unusual for a helicopter to land with rich people or celebrities in the parking lot in front of the stable. There are girdles about the cowboy boots. The price is of course then also ...
