Service here was phenomenal, staff were very kind and speedy with their donut making. I love the entire vibe these shops give off, and I highly recommend any person coming to Virginia or North Carolina to enjoy these warm fresh donuts. We will definitely be back again soon!

Placed an order for pickup today. Havent had donuts in over a year since going vegan so the vegan assortment was something I was very excited to try and it didnt disappoint. We did the custom half dozen for the kids and they loved theirs as well. I wish the vegan assortment was a constant offering.

Duck Donuts is by far THE BEST donut shop in Hampton Roads. They are clean, staff is friendly and food is fresh and made to order.. I was so happy to see they opened one at the Norfolk premium outlets! If you have never been there, you are Missing out.. The Maple Bacon Donuts are yummy, however they have a huge variety for everyones sweet tooth!

Great doughnuts, made to order. Better than the alternative chain donut places and only a bit more expensive. Borderline gourmet, but with normal sized donuts and without the $4-5 dollar per donut price tag.

Very rude. Poor customer service. Phone number is constantly busy as if not on the hook. I have been trying to get a hold of the manager at this location. My 7 year old daughter was sad today and When I asked her what would make her feel better, she said Duck Donuts! As I was reaching for the handle to open the doors, I was stopped rudely by an employee who said, “no new customers, come back in an hour’ - young male employee during shift 7/5/21 at 11:20am, Norfolk Outlets. TRIGGER- He gave no explanation or reason, and then two customers walked in afterwards. It was also my mother’s first time, and the experience was terrible. It was so embarrassing.

This past weekend around early morning timeframe my husband and I ordered some duck donuts from the Norfolk Virginia location of 1541 Premium Outlets boulevard. The employees handling our orders were polite and some of the yummy donuts we ordered included maple bacon, some oreo donuts, some donuts with a cherry like filling some blueberry donuts etc.

This place has some amazing donut sundaes which is ice cream on top of a made-to-order donut. They make your donut to order from batter right in front of you and it takes no more than a couple minutes. Then you construct your donut like you build a sandwich at subway. The quality is great, and theres a lot of variety since you make exactly what you want. Would recommend over other dount places.

I came into the store last Tuesday to order 2 dozen donuts for my son’s birthday party. When I came to pick them up today they had no clue about my order and couldn’t find any thing about it in the back. I was asked to show how I paid for it and the woman wanted to take a picture of my bank statement showing the money that was pulled out of my account from their store. They also asked me to tell them the time I came in, luckily I had called my sister right after I had ordered them so I was able to look it up. They finally found the order in their system, I guess. But I still had to wait for them to make my entire order. All I got was a sorry. This mistake was very unprofessional. I know it wasn’t the fault of the people working today but it’s on the company and the girl who messed up taking my order. I was inconvenienced and late due to their mistake. The donuts were just so so as well, nothing spectacular.

I just tried the vegan assortment from Duck Donuts. I really hope they continue offering vegan donuts, because they are delicious and beautiful too! (Someone I showed the picture to described them as works of art!) I had them delivered and they were still a little warm when they arrived. These are cake donuts and when I first got them, the exterior was a tiny bit crispy, which was okay--but I thought they were even better the second day when the crispiness went away and the flavors of the donut sort of melded. VERY soft and moist! I would order the vegan donuts again.

Such an awesome place! The staff was very friendly and the breakfast sandwiches on fresh warm vanilla donuts were out of this world! Would definitely go again!

This was my second time going to Duck Donuts in the Hampton Roads and Im going to say that this place is AMAZING!Not sure what is up w/ the person who gave this spot a 1-star (Love- not showing- joy), but some people can never be happy.Anyhow, coming out the grease the donuts are boxed and toppings added to them, which ever topping you choose and there are LOTS of choices.The donuts melt in your mouth like warm butter, and have a very nice light crunch at the end.* Highly Recommended for Donut Lovers and Foodies alike!

Beside cold topping sauce and donuts not being fresh. When you all are just opening. To me asking for a sandwich and it was made incorrectly at first and I have an allergy so I ask for it to be remade I then noticed that they put the first patty on my new sandwich and added another patty and both were over cooked. Never had a bad experience till hope for improvement

Went there for the first -- and probably last -- time today. Ordered two donuts and a coffee. After taking my order, the cashier said I could pick it up at the other end of the shop. I went there and within a couple minutes, had my donuts. Since the cashier told me thats where to pick up my order, I just figured theyd have my coffee there, too. I asked about it; they said I had to go back to the counter. When I returned, some people were placing an order. They took a few seconds to go look in the refrigerator to pick a beverage. In the meantime, I asked the cashier for my coffee. With a look of disdain and with contempt in her voice, she said, I will get your coffee as soon as Im done taking this order. ... Why I didnt get my coffee after my order was completed (and my money was collected) is a mystery -- I was right there at the counter, why not get it for me then? Also, it wouldve taken her 10 seconds to pour my coffee during the pause in the other folks order. ... Finally, I had my coffee and my donuts and ... started looking around for napkins -- there was nary one to be found. When I asked, they just grabbed a couple out of a package behind the counter. Why they dont have napkins out is beyond me. The donuts were pretty good, but the service wasnt. The donut maker was nice, but I thought the cashier was inefficient and a bit rude.

Was in the area for military duty. First time having their donuts. By far the best donuts Ive ever had. Only thing to keep in mind is it takes longer because its all made to order.

Absolutely AMAZING service! Love the incredible work everyone seems to be putting into the establishment. Everyone there had such patience for me and the young ones while ordering and the food came quick and easy with no hassle! Will be ordering from here again! One of the best donut shop in the Hampton Roads community. The fried donuts are still warm and have a little crunch to them. You choose your toppings and they do it right then and there.

The flavors are so versatile and unique. I love them all!!!! The cashier noticed we had 10 donuts and offered us to get a full dozen to make it cheaper. That was nice of her.

OMG! Sooooo excited about this Duck Donuts in Norfolk! My sister rushed me out early in the morning (7:30am) for the grand opening (8am)! And boy, what a GRAND opening!!! Opened the door to a very exciting staff and owner. Alyssa, the manager, was cheerful and welcoming! My sister was the first customer and as a result, she received a basket filled with goodies and free certificates for donuts. Enjoyed fresh hot donuts (Salted Carmel, Smore’s, and ”Fall” donut to name a few) The customer service was second to none. The owner was down to earth and humble. Came here while on vacation, and this place has some of the yummiest donuts I’ve ever tasted. The cashier was very nice and advised me to get half a dozen for cheaper instead of the 5 I had. I was skeptical about bacon on a donut, but the maple bacon is seriously mouth-watering.

Its a donut shop like Krispy Kreme or Duncan. The difference is its more in the artisan mindset of donut making. Donuts are made fresh not assembly made. And most flavors are not seasonal. Only downside is theyre extremely messy.

Listen I NEED duck doughnuts in my life .I will be on my 600 lb life before I let go of these doughnuts .mind you I live in Hampton so I have to pick between the Williamsburg store or the outlets in Norfolk .the staff is always very friendly and helpful.love this place .

Sent my husband to pick up donuts. They already had our batch ready, and I guess none of the staff new. Well an employee was making a fresh box. They ended up giving my husband the old box after it sitting there for about 20-30 minutes and the donuts are cold.

Maple bacon doughnuts were amazing, ( all of the others were as well).We had a cold coffee, hot coffee as well as a hot chocolate. We threw away all 3 drinks. The hot chocolate was more like a warm milk mix w/o any chocolate flavor. The coffees were not good, not awefull just not like coffee. Staff were friendly and shop was clean. We will go back, just not for coffee.

The cashier lei was very condescending to me when I asked for a French toast donut with bacon on it Saying that it wouldnt work because the bacon would just fall off and my remark was well then how does the bacon stick to the Maple bacon donut I also ask for a chocolate caramel macchiato which had nothing but syrup and milk in it and whipped cream on top after I ask for no whip cream she did not give me a straw gave me attitude the entire time told me she was going to slap me because I asked what drink that was because it did not look anything like what I had ordered she then began to get on her phone and call somebody to rant about me while I was still in the building Touching equipment and her phone with no gloves and no washing of her hands she then continued to make smart comments while other customers were in the building to them about me. She said she was going to clock out and fight me.

The donuts are great but the lady at the cash counter definitely needs some more experience, had to repeat my order 8 times before it was finally taken

Poorest experience ever. Went in with a friends who asked for bacon to be added to a donut that already had icing, the cashier, named lei, became very condescending with smart remarks over it for no reason. Ok cool whatever. We both asked for the drinks with no whipped cream. We recieved one drink with cream with heavy amounts of syrup sitting at the bottom, no straws or anything. So when my friend asked for it to be made correctly the cashier got an attitude. Went back and forth making comments about how she was going to slap people. meanwhile being on the line with her phone touching equipment and not washing hands which is a health code violation in itself. So when my friend confronted her about the comments she was making, she said she would clock out to fight her to the point i had to seperate them. So when i asked her name and address the situation, she copped an attitude with me about how the conversation was dumb, when she clearly had caught an attitude for no reason at the beginning of this. 10/10 she ruined the experience at a place i enjoy.

Have to buy at least 2 dozen. Im addicted to the maple bacon.

Horrible customer service. Today March 12 at around 1 PM my son and I came in to purchase donuts.We have always been treated as if we were family ever since we’ve been going to the Nagshead location. Duck donuts is his favorite place and we love to bring business here. This is our first time coming to the Norfolk premium outlet location. I was Appalled at how my son and I were treated when we walked in. The lady making the donuts did not even acknowledge or speak to us as we walked up to the counter to put in our order. Another lady walked out of the bathroom it looked like she was cleaning. She looked at us as well didn’t even acknowledge us greet us or ask is how she could help. She began spraying chemicals all over the bathroom door from the outside and wiping them down with coffee filters. It was not a good experience and I will never bring business back to this location. It’s just very sad to see the quality And caliper of the employees working there.

I’ve not even tasted one of the donuts but customer service means so much to me. I’ve never been here but had a server help me named Joyce. I’d no idea what or how to order AND I came in close to them closing. Most restaurants would just tell me whatever necessary to get me out of their face but Joyce legit took the time to show me how to order as well as pricing along with recommendations. I’m so happy to finally see a place that actually cares about people! Highly recommend and if you do come here speak with Joyce! She’s my homie now!!

I pick up donuts for doordash Uber and Postmates. Theres never much of a wait when I get there and I enjoy watching the children giggling as they make their donuts.

My first experience with this place was on the outer banks on a weekend get away for my birthday. Best damn Hand made 🍩 in the region and always improvements and expansion. I light up like a kid at Christmas every time. Maple bacon. My favorite. Lord have mercy. Made in front of you with Love and nothing else.

Order i placed was 10 minutes late not necessarily a big deal but it was how the employee spoke to me as the transaction was completed that warranted this negative review. What she said was unnecessary for the situation and just plain rude in my opinion.

If you have less than 50 minutes to get your food, I definitely dont recommend stopping at this glacially paced, cardboard-tasting donuts (why do you think they need a thousand toppings per donut?) bakery

I love their donuts but I rarely order anymore. The last time I did order. My donuts were so so ugly. I was told they would be replaced and they never were. My biggest reason for no longer ordering is the wait. Employees dont seem to know what theyre doing... still. Maybe an employee needs to be trained in a specific role. Left there until they are proficient at it before being trained at the next station. Im not really sure how the situation could be improved. But I dont have 45 minutes to stand around and wait for dunuts. As a 3rd party delivery driver, I also try to avoid coming here because of the wait. Makes whatever money I am making on the delivery not really worth it.

Tonight was my first night trying Duck Donuts. OH MY GOSH. They are the best donuts Ive ever had. I love the atmosphere in the store. I love how they make the donuts from scratch right in front of you. The employees were very nice. I love the menus and the selection of donuts. Really great donuts. Had to wait because they had a cash register discrepancy...and need to count and check every PENNY in the midst of prime time! The mgr amd cashier were exceptionally nice, but the owner never said anything other than carry on his conversation with another person. We waited about 10 mins.

Delicious donuts. I have not had access to a donut place in a long time, and I have never had access to a gourmet donut restaurant. This place is extremely popular, and the line can be very long. If you have internet access I highly encourage you to order ahead and then pick it up. While I was waiting in the store, several delivery service personnel came in as well to pick up orders so that is another option. The donuts themselves were creative and delicious. I especially enjoyed the ones with brighter flavors like the lemon coconut one. Awesome!
