A very good place they got supplied for swimming, hiking, fishing, and skiing. You can rent ski helmets, poles, and skies. A very helpful place.

My fiance just got her dive certification through Wild Country. I got mine through another place a few years back. I now wish I could have gotten it through wild country. The owners, staff and instructors are very friendly and knowledgeable and they truly welcome you into the dive community. Safety is their main goal backed up by having a good time. Every time we walk through the door we are greeted by the best people. Keep up the great job Wild Country!!! Five stars is not a high enough ratting!!!

The staff is VERY knowledgeable and sincere. You cant get that at the corporate owned, big box type stores. If they dont have what I want in stock they try to order it for me. When I shop local, I choose the independents over the chains, every time.

Ive been frequenting Wild Country for nearly 10 years. Whenever possible I always stop there before going to a big box store. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable, and they have a deceptively large selection. Most of what they have is very high quality, and should last a good long time. Theyre also the only place I know of in Bloomington that sells Alpine skiing equipment. They also offer scuba classes, though I cant personally speak to how well those are run, Im told its a great experience. Also keep your eye out for their clearance night, where they sell slightly used equipment at steep discounts. This is a great local business Im always happy to frequent.

The folks at Wild Country are absolute rock stars! They have consistently gone above and beyond to ensure that my husband and I had everything we needed for our Appalachian trail hike. They are wicked smart about everything outdoors! We were previously driving to REI in Chicago to get our gear - NOT ANY MORE! This location is an absolute gem for our community!
