Do NOT use this company!!! Weve been customers for 3 years. For the first couple of years there was a leak at the tank. They sent a guy out and fixed it with no charge.Which was great. . . I guess. Last week we woke up at 4 am to the smell of propane throughout the house. Called the fire department and they though maybe it is our furnace, not 100% sure though. So, my husband called Ferrell to let them know as a courtesy. Ferrell gas suggested as a COURTESY that they send a technician to make sure there wasnt another leak. The guy was here maybe a total of 25 minutes all together. He did NOT fill our tank. He sprayed the valve to check for leaks, no leak. He said maybe since we were at only 5% that it was causing the smell. Well a couple of days later we get a bill for $296!!!!! For what?!? They charged us $96 for an hour of his time ( which was only 25 minutes maximum) and $200 for emergency refill which they did NOT do. After my husband wrote an email and waited for a call back for 3 days. The customer service woman told us that we are responsible for the $300 because the leak was on our end?!?!? Excuse us?!? Sure charge us for the service fee, but how is it legal to charge us $200 for something we did NOT receive!?! This is the worst customer service ever!!!
Bad customer service. We scheduled a site visit for installing a propane tank for the home we are building. The first time we called they said that they will arrive between 9 -11 am on a Friday and they requested the presence of someone to point them out about the location of the tank. My husband waited there from 9-11 am and at 11:30 we decided to call and ask if the tech was late. That day the tech never arrived. One week later, the tech called and told me that last week he arrived at 4 to the site and it was quite dark and nobody was there. So, he decided to leave and arrive the following Friday (a week after the original appointment). I answered him, it is weird because I was there seeing the house from 4-6 and I answered, didnt you see the cars? He said, well I actually did not go. He basically tried to lay in my face. I answered him. This is a propane company, how can I trust you if I have a gas leak? He answered: fair enough! And thats the question, the customer service line did not have an idea where were their techs? their tech showed up one week later and lied about it. What type of customer service culture this company has?
I would be very careful using this company, I call a couple of months to spend $400 for propane, now my tank is at 6% and they are telling me that I have a 330 balance, even though I have to pre-pay for my gas. now I needing to spend another 400 and I have to pay the balance of 330, plus spend 350 to get more propane. If you dont have the money, they will not work with you.
Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. They set dates to repair a leaky tank and refill it on given dates. They moved the repair date out by a week and set a refill date for two days later. They came and repaired the tank on the day they set but no one showed on the date to fill the tank. When I called to find out what happened, I was told there was no order to fill the tank. Still no gas!!
I recently bought a house that the heat ran on propane. I called and got quotes from multiple companies and went with ferrelgas because they sounded the most optimistic about getting a tank installed the fastest. They were supposed to call back the same day to set up a site inspection and did not. I called 2 days later snd they were supposed call that day. They didn’t. After a week I called again snd they told me it was planned for Wednesday. I knew the roads were bad on Wednesday and I called to see if the inspection would be moved and they pushed it BACK 2 weeks🤬 I get that everyone needs propane when it’s cold but I have to move into this house with NO HEAT before they can apparently be bothered to even look and see what they might need to install a tank. The unprofessionalism has me looking into the option of installing a new electric heater rather than dealing with this level of incompetence
Always friendly. This last time I took a couple of RV tanks and they filled them with no hint that I got there right at closing time.
Hello, Just wanted to say thank you for all of you who keep us warm in the winter. Its always a pleasure and we are always grateful. Before Ferrell Gas came to town we often paid 4 or 5 dollars a gallon never knowing what the current market price was like. Prior to becoming a Ferrell customer we had used A local propane company Lundys took advantage of our ignorance and were often unable to heat our house above 60 degrees due to the high cost of propane but Ferrell fixed that problem quick and now we get great rates. Consistently and for many years Ferrell has always taken care of us and we are given excellent and affordable prices up front. We feel comfortable recommending this wonderful company to any family or business that wants more affordable and better quality service. Thank you so much for your years of service and thank you again for helping ensure that our family is warm at night. I wouldnt believe any negative reviews about this company. My mom always said to me that A lack of planning on your part doesnt constitute an Emergency on my part Ferrell was at our door within 3 hours when we ran out in negative temperatures. Yes this company is literally that good!
This place is closed, cannot get a refill of your forklift propane anymore.

This company has very poor customer service. We ran out of propane just after Christmas one year and they made us wait 7 days in below freezing temperatures for them to come out. We ended up sending the kids to their grandparent’s house at night and ran electric heaters during the day if we were at home. This was at a rental so we weren’t propane savvy at the time. Their customers are just not that important to them. They definitely won’t go out of their way for you. I am currently building a house with propane and will definitely look for a company that cares more about their customers than this place. Just a friendly warning.
