Protection 1 either merged or bought our previous alarm company. Even when we cancelled our contract on 3/2020, the company still charged a portion of the future contract that we did not sign or agree to. Obviously we refused to pay it since no service was provided (we also discontinued our landline, which means no way they can do any monitoring). They then send us to collection which lower our score by 19 points. What a scam.

I am actually jealous of the person who gets bounced around between their customer service specialist. I never get any callbacks and when I do finally get in touch with someone I get hung up on!?! There was no yelling and screaming going on either, Ive been nothing but pleasant. Time to find another security company!

Do I feel protected? Of course I do! I dont know why I never wrote a review for this company. Protection 1 is amazing! They will go above and beyond to make their customers feel safe and secure. I called in for a trouble and they immediately addressed my issue and are sending a service tech out. Alex is a great person. I spoke with him today. He cares about his customers. All the service techs have all been great. Very nice. I have been with protection 1 for almost 10 years and will still continue to use them.

They are great when sale is made but when there’s a problem they are not so cooperative. Our smoke alarm has been alarming multiple times a day even though it’s off the ceiling indicating there’s a “low battery.” Every time we call they are supposedly fixing the problem. Soon the alarm goes off again! They’ve replaced it once but continued to be an issue. Now they refuse to connect us with a supervisor. We were assured of s call in half hour. So far at nearly an hour, no response. They want us to edit 1-1/2 weeks before they send out serviceman. Not acceptable with alarm going off day & night!

The worst Alarm company Ive ever dealt with. You call customer service and no one seems to know how anything works and they just bounce you around to the next clueless person.
