I brought my husband here after a few days of him having pain in his big toe. I read the reviews here and decided that it was the best place to go. Dr. Wachtel is a very wonderful doctor, him and his team were very nice, explained everything perfectly and worked fairly quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend to go here for any foot problems. 100% would go again when and if the need arises!!

I was referred to Dr. Wachtel by the ER. The office is very clean and COVID precautions are done properly. The staff are very professional and flexible when it comes to scheduling or accommodating your needs. Dr. Wachtel is very knowledgeable and can break things down so someone not familiar with the medical field can understand. I had two procedures done by Dr. Wachtel and both times he would make sure I was comfortable, explain what is going to be taking place and why. Once procedure is complete he will sit with you and take the time to go step by step on post OP instructions. He is meticulous during the process and always making sure the environment is sterile. He also has a way of conversing with you to take your mind off the procedure, it feels once he starts talking with you it’s already over. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a clean, comfortable environment that will make sure as a patient you get the best care possible.

I had developed a pain in my foot during the summer, which progressively got worse over the fall. Went to Dr. Wachtel’s practice, and was promptly diagnosed with neuroma. After a few weeks of laser treatment, the pain completely vanished. Amazing.The staff is great, friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Highly recommended, don’t let foot pain linger! I started seeing Dr Wachtel about 5 months ago. My daughter had highly recommended him. My problem was ingrown toenails. Dr Wachtel was very patient and careful. He was also very cognizant of my state of mind. I went to see him not only to get my ingrown toenails taken care of, but also to have a great deal of damage repaired. He was quite cheerful and chatty, taking my mind off what he had to do. (The original damage had been done by a different doctor who burned off most of my toenail, but missed the ingrown spots.) He and his staff are very friendly, relaxed and efficient.

I was referred to Dr. Wachtels office for foot/heel pain that turned out to be plantar fasciitis. Three appointments later and Im pain free! The staff at the North Andover office is nice and accommodating, and Dr. Wachtel is very knowledgeable, friendly and professional.

I was lucky to find Dr Wachtel and his kind and caring office staff. I was able to have an appointment within a couple of days of calling, which was amazing since my feet were hurting me so much. The results are incredible! Dr. Wachtel is extremely knowledgeable and will never sell you services you dont need. He and his staff are always pleasant and personable. I underwent the laser treatment over the last several months, and the results are amazing. I admit, I was a bit skeptical as nothing I had tried in the past had worked, but I have been amazed at the results. The cost of laser is not cheap, but its been worth every penny.

Ive been seeing Dr Wachtel since August after I developed recurring foot pain from running. He ordered an MRI which showed a partial achilles tendon tear and inflammation....worst possible news for a runner! After 4 months of following his prescribed treatment plan, I am now totally pain free. Im doing strengthening exercises now and hope to be back to running soon. Dr Wachtel is very thorough in his approach, very professional as well as personable. His supporting office staff are also awesome. I highly recommend!

I just recently started seeing Dr. Wachtel for an ingrown toe nail. He was absolutely wonderful with the surgery and followup. I am currently having laser treatments to remove fungus and create much healthier toe nails. Dr Wachtel, himself, is a wonderful person with a great personality that I really appreciate. Dr. Watchtels staff is amazing. The are so friendly and down to earth that I never notice any waiting time I might have. I would recommend Dr. Wachtel for any foot issue you may be having.

Went to Dr Wachtel with pain in both heels and soles of my feet. First of all, Dr Wachtel and his staff are very cordial and attentive. Dr Wachtel is very knowledgeable. He provided me with a couple of foot stabilizing products and after that recommended laser treatment.The laser treatment worked out great! My tissue in my heels started healing and I can manage very well what was previously a tremendous pain to walk. I have been progressing steadily and I am doing great! Thank you, Dr Wachtel and staff! I had a very good experience with this office. Id been to other places for my foot problems and they always recommended the most expensive option, regardless of what I wanted. Dr. Wachtel was personable and listened to what I said, which is important to me. Like someone else mentioned, the wait could be a bit long, but the staff is incredibly friendly and nice so honestly that made the wait worth it for me. Waiting at the doctors is standard, a great staff is not. My feet are much better and I wouldnt hesitate to go back to Dr. Wachtel if I had any other issues.

As a Health Care Administrator, I sought a podiatrist recommendation from another Administrator, he had worked with Dr. Wachtel at his Nursing Facility located in my community. I due to work and home time commitments, had put off the repair of an ingrown toe nail to the point of a painful, infected toe. Dr. Wachtel was able to see me within a days time. I found him to be non judgmental, as I knew I had waited beyond prudent time to seek care. I found his intake office staff welcoming and I was quickly in the treatment room. The Doctor is a outgoing, friendly person who size up the situation and provided the treatment with minimal pain. I had to cancel the follow up appointment due to a last minute work schedule change, the office staff was able to get me another late afternoon appointment, within a day or two. My next appointment is at one of his other office locations, which fit my work schedule. The web site is educational, the doctor is skilled at his trade, he and the staff is friendly and accommodating. I enjoy going to see him for my foot work.

I went to Dr. Wachtel for treatment of two ingrown toenails. I was initially unaware of the treatment that would have to be done in order to cure them but both Dr. Wachtel and his staff thoroughly explained the treatment and post op care processes. Dr Wachtel had new Orthodics made for me. My old ones were really thick and very worn out. The new ones are very light and comfortable. I was having knee pain the new Orthodics put my knee back in alignment. No more knee pain. Great Experience I highly recommend!

What else can I say about Dr. Wachtel? He saved my elderly fathers foot from amputation! Dealing with elderly parents can be so challenging especially when it comes to health issues. My father was not listening to me as his diabetic foot ulcer grew worse and was generally dismissed by his primary care physician as gout. We were introduced to Dr. Wachtel and immediately my sister & I knew we had found our savior! He was caring, warm, compassionate, honest but at the same time was able to not sugar coat my fathers condition and give his some tough love. His knowledge and bedside manner are impeccable and I would highly recommend him to anyone who has foot or ankle concerns. What a special guy!

Terrible Dr. In my opinion, I took my son to see him the week of July 14th for an injury to his foot that resulted in a fracture on the top part of his right foot. The patient room was filthy and out dated, and Dr. Wachtel was incompetent and lacked the knowledge to make an educated decision about the injury. He looked at his foot and the Emergence rm exrays and Radiology report and was quick to determine that a cast was needed and would fix the injury, but he wanted to wait for the swelling to go down first. ( which turned out to be a blessing in dequise for us). The Dr. didnt explain the injury, what bone was broke or how long recovery would be, he put my son in an air boot and said see you in four days. I had a bad feeling about the Dr right from the beginning and decided to go see another specialist for Orthopedics. At that visit in Dr. Peltos office they took a new exray and showed us the result of that exray and explained the injury the bones involved and said my son needed surgery asap to have a screw put in to secure the broken bones so it heals properly. They did not recommend a cast which would have done more damage and result in the bones healing improperly.So thank God I made the decision to see another Dr. for the sake of my son. He will have surgery tomorrow and is in great hands with Dr. Teebagy at UMass Memorial doing the surgery for he specializes in this area.Angela Bovenzi

Unbelievable! Foot pain is THE WORST. Primary care physician sent me to Dr. Wachtel and in ONE visit, I am pain free. No drugs, no surgery, no pain. I thought I broke my foot, maybe a stress fracture, or something like that and I would be in a clumsy boot for weeks (or worse, surgery), but he diagnosed me immediately (a neuroma), then double-checked that the diagnosis was right and proceeded to treat me the SAME DAY I went (xrays in his office took 5 minutes)-- Im still surprised that my foot feels so good. In one shot! I like to walk 3-5 miles a day and thought Id be laid up for at least a week, but nope. Just walked almost 6 miles and my foot feel fantastic. I go back for one more follow up visit and thats it. Thank you, Dr. Wactel!

In the last two years I am been attending my local practitioner with foot pain. After a number of session with physical therapy and no success I finally decided to go to Dr. Wachtel. My experience with Dr. Wachtel was a very positive one, he did x-rays, cortisone shots and laser treatment on my feets, and within 24 hours I noticed a hugh improvement. After a number of follow up treatments to his office I now am pain free anddoing great, and I am back walking daily now which I love. He has a new state of the art lazer which treats heel pain very successfully. I found Dr. Wathtel and his staff very professional and friendly. I would recommend his services to anyone.
