The people there are really nice and helpful. I wish I could say the same for some of their material. Paid 141.00 for some 2x4 cedar( had to order it) 2 pieces were splitting, 2 pieces were bowed pretty bad. Not what I was expecting from a “lumber company”. 3.00 ea. fence pickets about the same.* was able to use cedar after all. Also manager called to make things right in less than 24hrs. That says something right there. Sorry I jumped the gun. V.R.

I am a contractor who stopped by to pick up a couple boards for a project and in 20 minutes time I still could not find any help in the yard to load me up. I went ahead and loaded myself and upon leaving I saw two employees just standing around talking to each other.

We were spoiled by Adams Supply where you could buy anything for fix up projects at home without having to go into town. It was one of my favorite places to shop. Harbin still has great quality lumber, but they dont cater to the average homeowner. It is a shame because there are a lot of homeowners in Edgefield County now and having to drive those extra 5 miles to Walls or Lowes eats up more time. If you need lumber, Harbin is great, but if you need plumbing, electrical or tools go elsewhere.

Good prices and quality merchandise on hand. Lumber is of much higher quality than big box stores like Lowes. However, this place is geared towards professionals and isnt open on weekends anymore.

Im no home builder, but I have several projects a year that require a large supply of lumber and other substrates. From the first day I shopped here, I have been treated like a valued customer, and they help me find what I am looking for. I would give them 5 stars, but my most recent order got jumbled, and some of the materials I purchased were not delivered, and several boards were extremely curved, or otherwise, riddled with more defects than expected... not what I needed to lay out a good shed floor. Also, their Paslode paper strip nails are significantly more expensive than Lowes. I will change my star rating if they make it right!
