Just want to say what a wonderful experience Ive had with Polar Bear Soda Co. I have used them since 2010, when we were still Sutton Place. They seem to pull me out of a bind whenever I have a beer gas leak or Ive cut myself too close on a flavor and need an emergency delivery.They have a fully staffed office where I can always get a human voice on the phone. They even oblige me by letting me text my orders, which is always more convenient for me.After hours and on the weekends if you call their office and no one is there, you can always get an emergency phone number, which Ive had to use several times. I can get immediate help right there on the phone and they will walk me through the process of fixing some kind of stupid mistake Ive made to help get me back up and running in five minutes.If its something that is broken they have never let me down and have always come in to the city to rescue us, even on a Saturday or Sunday.We have several floors, with multiple soda systems and always have full confidence that my business will be cared for by the great service techs at Polar Bear.Kudos to you!!!!MIDTOWN 1015NYC

I sent this letter to Polar Bear about what a great experience i had. They asked if I could post. Dear Brian, Just wanted to take the time to give praise and thanks to you and your team. This past weekend would have been a disaster if not for the expert response team you put in place to assist your clients in pragmatic situations.Upon arriving at AMADEUS this past Saturday for a high profile event I noticed that the Cola syrup box was ripped. the plastic bag holding the syrup was on the floor and the connector had snapped off.Phoning your emergency hotline provided me with a return call within a relatively short period of time. The knowledge and confident tone of your assistant walking me through each step of the procedure necessary to follow as to how to make a quick fix of this problem took away the stress and anxiety that had consumed me.Michelle handled the catastrophe I had created in my head and brought it all back into perspective. Another call was necessary to Michelle as with the snapping of the attachment to the syrup the co2 tank had run completely out of gas necessary to carbonate the system and it was not working properly. Following her direction again, another catastrophe was averted. Once again my sincere thanks goes out to Michelle.On another note,I would like to also tank your office support staff who have always been available to address any and all of my questions and operating concerns, Thanks goes out to Karen and Lauren as valuable members of your organization as well.Sincerely,Thomas G. Have been using polar bear for a while now and their quality is good, and the service has been exceptional. They stayed patient through opening delays and very responsive when we needed them. Very professional.

This place is awful. Honestly the worst service you can possibly get along with high prices and garbage product. We used to use them at our restaurant but once we realized what a grave mistake we made we had to go to lawyer over their contract and the fact that they violated literally every responsibility they contractually had. It was a waste of money in the end and we settled but they are a disgusting company who doesnt care about their customers. We ended up going with Pepsi and shockingly a corporate company with robots answering their phones had better, faster, more professional service. Also the Pepsi guys dont forget half of your order and say you will get it in a week. Polar Bear needs to be reported to the better business bureau and hopefully the attorney general would look into their unscrupulous practices.

I sincerely warn you not to do business with this company. First let me start with the owner who generally is the person you meet once to open an account. He will attempt to overcharge you. He wears a catholic cross on his belt in an attempt to seem more honest but in reality is a low life scumbag. Every other company doesnt charge you a monthly rental or service fee but Polar Bear tries to. He will lie and make up all sorts of reasons, costs, and excuses to try to make you pay these fees.I was new to the business and unfortunately signed up. His employees who showed up to do the installation didnt really know what they were doing and when I asked them about things they explained how everyone keeps quitting and he refuses to pay his employees for training (which is illegal) so instead after enough of them quit over such types of pay disputes he simply decided to put unqualified people to do service and install with the idea that they will learn as they go with you the customer being left to deal with their mistakes at your own cost of time and lost business.In addition to that when you call the office, explain that there is an issue, the nasty lady who answers yells at you and attempts to make you ashamed that you arent doing something right in an attempt to stall their service technicians from coming out. When the same employee came back a second time and I asked him why certain things were done wrong he told me the owner knew they were out of the correct size connectors and instructed the employees to simply do it anyway. I had so much CO2 leaking that a 50 cylinder was empty in less than a week and I wasnt even open yet. It gets even better. When I called the office while the employee was at my restaurant to explain that I wasnt going to pay for CO2 refills which I now needed considering it was completely Polar Bears admitted fault, I was put on hold. Then she hung up on me. The employee explained that it was intentional and the owner was likely there telling her to do it because the employee has witnessed that same behavior several times in the office.I can keep going on about how horrible and messed up Polar Bear is. Their syrup that they sell you is made of the cheapest ingredients and trust me your customers will notice. Their Cola isnt really palatable. When I hired Roma Syrups because Polar Bear never showed up to fix their original mistakes well enough for me to even do business, Roma had to completely redo everything explaining that none of the correct fittings, clamps, or connectors were used.Basically Polar Bear intentionally leaves CO2 leaks to ensure you need refills constantly. It is amazing how they cannot service your lines but another employee stops by randomly to sell you CO2 and syrup.I am not making this up nor am I some disgruntled ex-employee with an axe to grind. I have never been screwed so badly by such a dishonest company and am hoping the story of my experience will spare you the same fate. Their employees are teenage to early 20 something kids who are honest enough about the fact that they needed the job and the money but still feel bad enough about how their boss screws people that they admit how dishonest and screwed up it is. One employee even commented about how much money Polar Bear owner Brian Burke makes and how his lawn furniture costs more than most peoples cars.Simply go with Coke a Cola or if you go with a privately owned company avoid Polar Bear. Roma Syrups was great compared to them but I am happiest with the real mcoy Coke a Cola. Good Luck
