Came for breakfast, food is excellent. Portions were huge. Really likes the hungry mans breakfast, 3 of us order this different ways and all were very good. The steak and eggs, wow what a large juicy piece of steak. The best though was the hash… man was it delicious. The service was blah, slow and i asked a busboy for some napkins which he had in his hand and he told me to wait in a rude way. Id go back for the food though for sure
Delicious food with breakfast served all day! I had the spinach feta omelette and with mushrooms added. Came with toast or pancakes and I ordered a side of bacon. Great food! Huge portions. I went home with half of my meal! The servers were very attentive with the coffee and service. That was a huge plus for me! It was really nice that the tables are spread out and not on top of each other.
Cream of Chicken soup was good, service was good. Hate to give bad review but liver was not good, mashed potatoes tasted boxed and gravy looked like chocolate syrup. Grandaughter had omelet, she liked hers. Liver is not something everyone likes, it was edible just tasteless. Very clean and nice.
The food and the ambiance of the restaurant was quite warming. We have eaten as well as take out both were awesome. My girlfriend will swear by the deep fried Lake Perch is out if this world
The place is always a joy to go to with a calming gentle atmosphere and even a view of the gorgeous fox River if you get the right booth! The food is always delicious to the point where I have to hold myself back from licking the plate clean. The staff is friendly and accommodating each time I go 10/10 would recommend for anyone who wants a nice place to eat!

Great variety from Chinese to Italian, breakfast, seafood, steaks etc. Large portions and fair prices. Big restaurant, lots of space. Would go again when in the area.
Great atmosphere and wonderful staff. Ive only been there once and ordered a breakfast plate and it was a good size helping, especially for that price, and delicious!!!. Inside is clean and beautiful and cozy, I will definitely be back for more because there is just so much food on the menu there I want to try.

The hot turkey sandwich and mashed potatoes were really good as was the pork tenderloin sandwich and turkey club. Burgers were good but was never asked how we wanted them cooked. They came well done. Would have preferred medium well. Our waitress Aylin was very good!
Ordered a $22.00 rib-eye steak dinner when I got The 1/2 thick steak dinner that looked literally like A strip steak sent it back to get the suggested strip steak from the very kind waitress and it was even worse than the steak before! I took two bites of fat and tasteless meat and had to spit it in my napkin. My father got the Italian beef It literally looked like shoe leather! dried out with a microwaved bun.We left two complete dinners untouched. WORST MEAL EVER!

I dont understand the good reviews.Service was awful. No one waited on us for at least 10 minutes and then the person who did take our order got multiple things wrong (charged us for chicken when we didnt get any chicken, forgot drinks, etc). The poor girl seemed like she wasnt a waitress and our actual waitress was too busy talking to other customers to even take our order (it wasnt busy just felt like she was not interested).3 stars because the place is clean and the food is okay.
This place is always excellent. The owner truly cares about his customers. The wait staff are amazing. Many, many food, drink and dessert choices. The food portions are very generous, and the food is always hot and so very good. This place is always clean, even the restrooms. You cant go wrong at Riverview Diner.
The best grilled reuben sandwich Ive had in years, maybe ever. Actual carved corned beef, not cheap deli slices. Very good, Ill come back just for that, let alone the great service.
My Farthers favorite place. He started a breakfast club and this was there restaurant on Wednesday. So we still go to honor them

The quality of the food continues to decline and the prices continue to go up. Really sad, because this used to be one of our favorite places to go get a nice affordable dinner.
I like the service, but the table I sat at was almost falling, making any fluid that we had spill everywhere, (the 3 person table). Every order between myself and 2 others was incorrect in some way but I will say that the food is just fine. Just trying to drink a coffee or soup without it pouring down the table is a hot mess. My server was great and It was a busy time so I will go back at a less busy day and amend it to make sure that my opinion was accurate.
Have always loved Riverview. Not a bad thing on the menu. The food comes so fast.

The chicken breast was dry and tasteless. Chicken noodle soup had 1 peice of chicken the size of a dime in the whole cup. I have been there before and it was good but I wont be going back. Waitress was great, not her fault.
Has room to improve. The menu immediately overwhelms you. 6+pages of loud color and pictures. But the crispy chicken sandwich was crispy, juicy, and a huge piece of chicken.

Was my second time there and did not disappoint. If I was local Im sure it would be a regular dining experience. Only thing missing was there Buffet which is out due to the current regulations. It was beyond words and well be wants restrictions are off.
Had a large group reservation for almost a month in advance. On arrival our reservation had been given to a different large party and we had to wait 15 minutes for something else to open big enough to sit us all. I dont know what youre excuse for that could be. They also had a sign up stating they expected customers to wear masks in between eating and drinking.... yea right! No way. Lastly, the food was hardly even mediocre. Disappointing, although we had a great time nonetheless. Just probably wont be back!
Best place for liver and onions. Reasonable prices. Dinner comes with a soup or salad and a slice of their homemade pies and they have many different options to choose from. Wide selection of menu items. This place is highly recommended.

I came in and the girl just stared at me when I told her I wanted a table for two. She spaced out and then apologized for spacing out. We waited outside and a white family showed up right after. They were attended first. We just sat there waiting and no one came to us.

Weve been coming here couple times a year for over a decade now, well before they remodeled. My bride and I love their broasted chicken and potatoes. A classic diner with friendly staff and downhome feel. This time, however, wasnt their best showing. Maybe they are still trying to figure the reopening after the year it was, but the chicken wasnt as good as it used to be. Not bad, just not great. The 4th star is for all the previous visits that they delivered greatness. We will back soon

Cozy cabin like feel with views of the river. They have a patio for the summer months. The food is really good, and it’s my favorite breakfast spot in the area. Also, the staff is super nice and friendly.
It was amazing i had waffles and it was delishous and i hope u go there and like it too its amazing u can have dessert and freshly made orange juice (which is what they all say but im serious) they have a machine and u put oranges in it and it squeezes the juice to make it this is the best place to be for breakfeast,lunch,and dinner i love this place
