Look. Like many retail shops now, its mostly for gadget or novelty lovers. Though they have formidable heavy gear, its not set up or equipped for professionals. The manager sent me to Professional culinary store 24 miles away .To their credit, theres a teaching kitchen and when they do stock what youre looking for, they have a decent selection.

Cookware is high-end and high price. Selection is great. Lots of kitchen tools and gadgets. Service is ok, but comes with an attitude.

Lovely inventory. I wanted to buy everything from juicers to tableware, but reminded myself of the glass espresso cups I came in for. All staff members were very friendly and helpful.

Great service and product selection. The only complaint is that even though they have hand sanitizer everywhere, it was disappointing to see that some of their employees still dont know that neck gaiters dont work like face masks do to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Such a great store! Took a cooking class with Lindsay S and she was AMAZING! Loved her attitude and detailed instruction. She was able to teach to all levels and even though I’ve taken courses at a culinary school (but am no professional by any means), I still walked away learning something valuable. The retail staff were really pleasant and patient with us wanting to browse a bit after the class too! Loved it so much I signed up for a Mother’s Day weekend class with my grandma a few days later :)

My friend and I took the summer pasta workshop today with Lindsay L. and her assistants Paul and Courtney. Such a wonderful time! Lindsay was very knowledgeable!! She taught us so much and made the class so much fun! And the food we made was amazing! Can’t wait to go back and take another class with Lindsay!

The cooking class was fun. We made three different types of gnocchi and they all turned out great. I am excited to try to make my own gnocchi from scratch at home. The instructor was good and informative. The only down side is due to county regulations you cannot take any extra food home with you. This is unfortunate for sur la table and I am disappointed the county would restrict something like this. Anyways - Id recommend it as a fun activity to do with your significant other, mother, father, friend, sibling, or coworker!

A team-building cooking class was a perfect choice today. Not much talking when we all ate what we made! The chef was very helpful and many of my colleagues learned quite a bit. I picked up some new tips and a tagine on sale!

Dishonest, ignorant and rude. That describes my shopping experience today at La Sur in Pike and Rose.I received a promotional mailing and email stating 20% off on all purchases. I have attached a picture of the promotion for clarity.I went there specifically to by a Bob Kramer paring knife, which they list for $199. They refused to honor the offer. First, they tried to switch me to another, far inferior knife that they had on special, sure they probably make more money on it, and they had the nerve to say the knife was just as good. Obviously, they don’t know anything about what they are selling or are simply lying. Kramer is there absolute top of the line knife that they sell. Then they tell me I needed to show them the knife at the same price in and ad.I pulled out my phone and found it in about 2 minutes on the Cutlery and More website. Same knife clearly marked 20% off. The manager refused to look to look at it.I told her she was being dumb and was a bad business person. She had her goon tell me in a menacing way that nobody calls his boss names (dumb!!) and to leave the store.I am in disbelief how dishonest and rude La Sur was.You can find everything they sell at William Sonoma or on Amazon.I don’t need to do business with cheats, liars and thugs.

Bad business ethics here! Gave the store plenty of notice we were unable to attend a cooking class. They resold our seats and kept the money.
